It's so nice to visit with you again and watching your video this evening. Your current wips are looking so great. I love the project board that you are using, Jamie, that's a great idea and seems to be working well for you and is a really fun tool to pick your next projects. The quilt top that you made is so beautiful too and glad you both got away for a nice quilting retreat. Sorry to hear about your husband's grandma not feeling well and hope that she is back to being well soon.
Welcome back we missed you ladies. as for fabric - quilt/sewing - love some bright, for cross stitch, my sweet spot is 36 linen and I am with you Terri love modeling on my fabric.
The monthly hoop designs are all turning out really cute - in both color ways. Really enjoying your new way of picking what you will work on Jamie, glad it is working for you and look forward to seeing the Outlander piece next time!
The quilt is gorgeous!
I like your idea of the board for stitching WIPS.
I love 36ct. Overdue fabrics.
Marilyn
Good to see you both! I like to stitch on 14 and 16 count aida.
Prayers for Jim’s Grandma.
I love over dyed and “normal” fabric. I have been living in 14 count for cross eyed cricket projects but I’m stitching ‘stitchers resolution’ by Beth twist on 35ct linen. So everything!😂
Enjoyed seeing all the stitching and quilting. I stitch on just about anything and am looking forward to seeing the new fabrics.
I’m an 18ct stitcher. Love fiber on a whim and picture this plus. Happy Stitching!
Hello, it was great to see you all. I am sorry to hear about Jim’s grandmother my prayer 🙏🏻 for her and your family. The over dye fabrics I order are from Bestitchme, fabric on a whim, and PTP. I will also other fabrics on occasion but these are usually my go too. My favorite counts are 16 count, 25 and 28 count even weaves, and 32 count Belfast. Take care 😊
Hello ladies! Barbara, the project bag maker from whom you bought bags and is a member of our stitch group, just told me about your flosstube videos. I was excited! I am from Nebraska, living in Michigan, but I come back home to NE 4-7 or more times a year. Would love to hear about the Nebraska stitch community! Love your videos!
Great video Ladies and beautiful stitching!
I like 28, 32 evenweave. Lugana is nice. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Ladies, good to see you! Love everything you shared! ❤️🧵🪡✂️
Great to see you! I love the Civil War reproductions. I would love to see some Colour & Cotton in 36 or 40 counts. Happy stitching!!
Missed seeing you but glad you are back. I like to stitch on 36 ct linen and I am really liking Forbidden Fiber
To answer your questions, I enjoy over dyed fabric. I mostly stitch on 36 or 40 count linen. Would love to see some Atomic Ranch, Colour & Cotton, Fox and Rabbit.
I love Kim Diehl’s patterns and fabrics. I have her books.
Thank you for the fabric comparison for me. I thought they looked like they would be around the same color but sometimes it’s hard to tell on the internet.
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful projects. My favorite fabric is 32 lugana or 18 count aida Fiber on a Whim.
I don’t quilt anymore, but I did more appliqué quilts than pieced. My favorite quilt fabrics are Tula Pink, Kaffe Fassett, bright modern designs. For cross stitch fabric, I like Grace Notes, Colour and Cotton (love their floss), Mystic fabrics, anything with some mottling.
My favorite is Colour & Cotton linen 32, 36 or 40. It depends on the pattern and what size the final project will be. Thanks for asking! Glad y’all are doing well!
It is great to see you again!!!
Enjoy your content & banter! Regarding overdyed fabric: I do like to stitch on it & prefer 32 ct lugana with subtle mottling. I shy away from overdyed fabric with mottling that's "in your face" because it's hard to see/appreciate the stitching.
My favorite linens are 32 or 36 ct. and same counts in lugana. I don't particularly like highly mottled pieces. Terri, i'm with you on the 5"stitching hoop. All the extra fabric drives me crazy! I'm almist finished with my Owl Forest Houseplants piece, but plenty more patterns to chose from in the " to do" drawer. Good to see you back!
I love 28 to 32 ct Lugana. Fox and rabbit, fiberlicious, fiber in a whim are some of my favorites. I was also stashing quilt kits and stitching patterns for retirement. I retired Sept 2021 and am still stashing, lol. I am getting real this year though. Have to finish one before I buy another quilt kit. I just love watching the two of you together!
Always enjoy your videos, so thank you for your hard work that you do for all of us. I do like Fiber on a whim in 18 or 20 Aida.
Glad to see you back-been tooo long. I’ll keep Jim’s grandma in my thoughts.
I really like Laura's Fabrics (she'll be at market) and any linen count 28-40. I also tend to go for subtle color variations, no heavy splotches.
My preferred and favorite fabric to stitch on is 20 ct fiber on a whim, but I like any hand dyed 20 ct aida 😊
I love modeling in my fabric. But I love to try new things. My quilting preference really depends on holiday/season. But I think I lean a little more towards the bright.
Glad to see y'all back. I like 20 ct or 18 ct Aida if I can't get 20. Best fabrics for me is BeStitchMe, Colour and Cotton and Volcano Stitching.
I prefer 36 count linen. Fox & Rabbit, Picture this Plus, Fiber on a Whim just to name a few. But Seraphim is my absolute favorite. I also have quite the stash of fabric and quilt kits. I call it my 401Q for retirement.
my favorite is 20 count, picture this plus or fiber on a whim. I like dark colors
Love your videos and what projects you are working on. I am not a quilter but I do appreciate anyone who quilts and I tend to go for the more traditional styles. I do not stitch on over-dyed linen, I prefer the natural or neutral shades from Zweigert. My go to is 32 count but I also like 36, I totally avoid 40 count but notice many stitch on that count or higher. I prefer linen fabrics.
I agree with the small circle to work on. I have used a large wood frame but find it clumsy. I am currently using a small circular hoop too now
Thanks for sharing. I like linen 28 and 32 count. I don't like over dyed fabric or threads as they are not color safe, and I wash my projects. I've seen projects ruined because something as simple as water got splashed on them. Hands on design had a project ruined by water on their latest video.
I love quilting and especially civil war fabrics. Thanks for asking.
Hapy to see you Thanks for the update Hugs
Fox and Rabbit 36 ct linen is wonderful.
I love fiber on a whim Aida in 16, 18 and occasionally 20 count. Love you guys.
Hello, good to see you again. If you decide to carry other fabric, 36 ct linen is great for me. BeStitchMe, HandDyedbyStephanie, Atomic Ranch, and Grace Note Fabrics are a few ideas for companies. Your quilt is so pretty.
Love all the projects and the finish! And the quilt, squares are my favorite! Glad all is well! Happy Stitching!
My sweet spot is 32 ct Lugana. My favorite dyer is picture this plus.
I love that you’re thinking of bringing in new cross stitch fabrics! Fiber on a Whim, BeStitch Me, Fox and Rabbit, and R & R are some of my favorites. I prefer mainly 36 count but am dabbling in 40.
I do tend to gravitate toward brighter quits.
Great catching up with the both of you and seeing all your beautiful projects. Love the quilt top. Have a wonderful weekend and happy stitching 😊🪡🧵🤗🤩
Love how you are both going to stitch on fruits of plenty. My mom and I did that 2 years ago with Huckleberry Farm from Blue Flower and it’s now one of my favorite pieces because we did it together.
The stiff interfacing I use in my thread beds is Pelltex Ultra-Firm Sew In. I prefer 28 count lugana. Sometimes the overdyed fabric shrinks too much for me to see but I just wear cheaters.
Totally understand the breakdown from back of the month to kit. I did not get in on that because I missed your last whenever you talked about it first, but I will pay attention and be Johnny on the spot next time. fiber on a whim . I am a blue Ghana lover I do 28 count I have to go to a higher count fabric. I will use a 36 in linen
I really like your videos. I love Aida Fiber on a Whim and Aida Grace Notes fabrics. I have not tried linen yet.
Keeping you in my thoughts. 🌻🪡🌻
Hey Gals~ To answer questions, I love 28 count lugana, but I know if I want the prettier colors, I have to have linen. So, 28 count linen. I love the overdyed fabric but have never worked with it. I am a big chicken where that is concerned. Great to see yall back.
I’m a - yep it’s done kind of gal. Center it on a sticky board trim and plop in a frame - sometimes with a mat most times not! Otherwise it would end up in my closet hanging from a hanger (with about 30 others)
Always love to see Cornhuskers/Heartland in my feed!!! For me, I prefer the tighter weave fabric…Fox and Rabbit is my FAVORITE! I like Atomic Ranch and Picture this Plus as well..
Just an idea….i struggle with buying the finishing stuff (rickrack, Poms, chenille) because I don’t know what colors I will need when I get to a day of finishing. Would it be plausible (and profitable for you) to curate finishing bundles? Like “finishing bundle for spring/easter”, or “finishing in brights”. I think I would be able to pull the trigger on a bundle that would include some colors I’m thinking about and/or increase what I have on hand when I’m ready to finish. Just a thought!
Terri, I'm with you-counting stitches is too discouraging.
Look for 20 count aida in very mottled colors! Like vintage country mocha etc…..
I would be happy with some neutral 14 and 16 ct Aida, or some soft pink and aqua in 14 and 16
I am a 14-count Aida girl. I don't have a particular company to purchase from because I haven't found one yet that makes different colors in 14-count. Would love it if you could find some because I would definitely buy!
I love 25, 28 and 32 Evenweave fabrics and would love overdyed fabrics!
I would love to try an overdyed fabric, so I don't have a favorite right now. I would be interested in 28 or 32 Lugano or evenweave.
Love your show, I like to stitch on 28 & 32 count lugana or linen.
Hello Lovely Ladies! Thanks for the wonderful shout out about my project bags! So glad you like them and my flannel floss friend! 🤗💕🤗 I look forward to chatting with you at Market. ❤
Love your Nebraska shirt
Love Saraphim 16,18,20 count
I would be interested in 16 ct. Aida in colors, but not dark colors. I like Picture this Plus and Be Stitch Me, and am open to new dyers. I haven't tried Fabrics by Stephanie or Forbidden Fiber Co, and really don't know other names. I'm getting bored with all the beiges.
I love Bestitchme 14 or 16 count aida but would try other aidas.
Terri - I am on the same retirement plan of buying quilt fabric & patterns and cross stitch patterns and fabric now to have when I retire, planning on retiring next year. I will need to have a very long retirement to get everything done! 😊
So glad to see you. I did get my charts from your giveaway. I will send a note to you but Thanks so much. ❤
Terri- I love your hairdo!! I have missed you both! Had ankle replacement surgery Wednesday 1/24. At home recuperating - 3 months immobile!! Will start stitching again as soon as I’m off the major pain killers. 😉
Looking forward to seeing the new hair next weekend!
I stitch 28 ct lugana one of my favorite dyers is fabrics by Stephanie. I dont buy reproduction fabrics they are not my jam. I am more of a Tula pink girl
Question -- When is there a possibility we can have a small stitching gathering? I have some dates available. Thanks! :)
Terrie my new bee 🐝 stitch me fabric looks nothing like either of yours, mines fall colors and I am not happy with it! This is the first time too? Idk what’s happening? Love all of your stitching ladies so much❤I like oil stitches fabric 28 or higher linen!😊
I love your videos. I haven't tried overdyed fabrics as yet, but I am using 14 count aida.
Hi ladies, I love 14ct aida
I usually work on 25 and 28 Lugana and even weave but there doesn’t seem to be much for different colors available. So any designer that overdues using lighter colors. Talk about a long explanation! I And enjoy market.
🖤💛🖤
I like your videos ❤
As a newbie quilter wanted to start, has a really old sewing machine and no skill. Where do I start?
Thanks love your videos!❤
I taught myself to quilt watching Fons & Porter on TV (back when the real Fons & Porter were on). I would say UA-cam is your friend; you can find anything on there. I know Fat Quarter Shop did a series of learn to quilt videos a couple of years ago. Otherwise, try your local quilt store, they would be very helpful I'm sure and may even offer classes. Good Luck!
ALWAYS ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO. FROM NASHVILLE WOULD LIKE THE 202⁴. 2024 COOKBOOK, ÀLSO DO YOU STILL HAVE MINE MARCH CROSS STITCH ? ÇÀN NOW PAY FOR APR. B ❤❤❤
