Michael Ker This race doesn't seem to be a fair play game, riders know the risk and dangerousness of this "sport". You don't ask to your opponent if he is ok after a punch on a boxing contest ...

Laurens Seynaeve Is there an alternate boxing contest I don't know about? I thought the whole point of boxing was to hurt your opponent until he can't continue. So to do that you make sure he has no time to recover.

JPili1 Boxing is a sport of strength but any true sport practices sportsmanship. You ask an injured opponent if they are alright out of respect for them and the sport.

I've been here a few times. Quite a ride.
01:40 - 01:43 villainous act!
You just can't run over someone and then leave just for winning a race!
Even if you finish first, there's no merit in such a victory
camilit0 this is a special race, and everyone who is racing know about the dangers. You simply don't have enough control at these speeds on the glacier, to avoid ppl who crash in front of you. And everyone who race there accept that. I've raced Mega 2 times and talk from personal experience.

Actually it seems incredibly awesome with huge amount of adrenaline, i would love to dare to participate.
Anyway I didn't say that the guy (A) run over the other guy (B) on purpose. the thing that bothers me is that A don't even ask if B is ok even after we can clearly hear a painful sound from B.
In my personal case, especially if i'm involved, i really couldn't let a man down behind me on a mountain. Why? Because that's not what sport taught me

ohhhh hope that's a temporary hurt then.. they all volunteer for it themselves anyway. Worst case I'm sure they have medical assistant nearby.. :)
camilit0 i understand your point, a quick "you alright?" would not have hurt. especially since he stood there fixing his bar anyways. but on the other hand, other drivers can't really check for other injured drivers. helicopters and medical staff do that. he can't help the guy or change anything anyways, and staying any second longer provokes even more collisions and creates more danger, so he doesn't have any other choice to just go and continue. dude will probably be fine anyways, the people driving there are all tough crazynuts. probably told everyone proudly how he got run over.

it's like one of those nature shows where a swarm of fish all try to swim upstream through a narrow channel to spawn. A lot of strays everywhere, but overall, almost everyone gets to where they're all heading.

They are riding on ice and snow, he couldn't avoid, he missed the other two guys and the guy he ran over crashed directly in front of him. You need to understand what it is like to ride on a slippery surface like that before judging.
I thought there was going to be a huge avalanche somewhere! Looks fun and crazy nonetheless.
2 things for the people complaining about him running the other guy over at 1:40, not saying anything and continuing
#1 to me it looks like he swerves to the left and because of his speed and the adjustment he had to make to avoid the guy, it caused him to crash in the rocks (10+ feet later when he loses control. no bump or anything when he passes the guy)
#2 the sound he is making, for somebody in this kind of sport is probably very familar, guy had the wind knocked out of him more then likely, even if he asked the guy if he was okay, he wouldnt of responded for atleast 10 seconds :P
