Watch Superhit Old Classic Movie Jaal (1952)

Synopsis: After losing his vision during a storm, Carlos (K.N. Singh) lives with his sister, Maria (Geeta Bali), off the Indian coast in a fishing village. One day a mysterious young woman, Lisa, enters their lives, followed by a mysterious man, Tony Fernandes (Dev Anand). Maria and Tony fall in love with each other, much to the chagrin of Simon, who loves Maria and wants to marry her. Lisa then warns Maria that she has known Tony, they have had an affair together, and he had betrayed her, however, this warning has no effect on Maria. Then a gypsy palm-reader also cautions Maria that she may be headed for disaster at the hands of a stranger. The question remains: who exactly are Lisa and Tony, and what is the reason behind their presence on this fishing community; and whether or not Maria is being drawn into a web of lies and deceit at the hands of Tony?

Geeta Bali was a fabulous actress. Geeta dutt voice is always awesome. Gurudutt movies are outstanding as usual. And dev anand shown in negative role is well done 👏. Dev anand dancing- wow! The funtabulos music adds to the charm of this movie. And johny walker looks so young- seems like this movie started his career.

Immortal song by Hemnat Kumar…ye raat ye chandini phir kahan ….wonderful.Geeta Bali so great…Never seen Dev Anand so anti- hero.Guys and dames! While we praise the actors and singers let’s not forget the masterminds behind ths immortal song Sahir Ludhanvi (poet) and Dada Burman ( music director).Coming to this for the serious film goer it seems improbable that the evil guy Dev Anand plays could have such romantic sentiments!The song is so sensual and alluring that only a man with genuine love in his heart could express it.In real life Dev could have expressed it for his life love Suryia! dev was a academic graduate.
