No great question! It does go both ways. A model must be able to draw line of sight to at least one model in the unit it is shooting to be able to shoot it. In the overwatch example the inceptors that come down purposefully only let two breachers draw line of sight - rather than the whole unit. The purpose of this is to vastly reduce the lethality of the breacher overwatch (and likely put the opponent off doing it). The inceptors on the other hand can all see at least one model - so they can all shoot that unit (unlike the breachers) Thanks for watching and the question :)
If you charge from behind line of sight and end in combat I think you can also dodge the overwatch on the charge move, gotta make sure they aren't a vehicle or monster to avoid big guns never tire though
