    Check the door button that makes dome light come on

    Check your freeze plugs in the engine block they do rust through. If it brakes through wile going down the road it will dump the coolant fast and over heat the engine. I noticed you have a paper wasp nest next to the low beam head light when you hade the bezel off to install the high beam light. on driver side.

    Remember that the shell of the parking light has to be grounded. When you had it hanging loose it was not grounded to the car and the bulb would not light. You could have just held the shell against the bumper and it would have worked. The parking light has two wires going to it, neither of which is ground. One is for the parking filament of the bulb and the other wire is for the turn signal filament of the bulb.
