About the inconsistency of the food packages, I didn't understand what you mean; in my opinion they are very well made and I suppose that are faithful to the real packages sold in the 40's years. In these days I began to read the history of Nanea on the book enclosed with the doll, so I know the (not always easy) relashionship between Nanea and her parents: she was treated as a little child as she was younger than her brother and sister; she wished to be useful by working in the parent's shop, but they didn't leave her to do; it is typical now as then: the children are in hurry to feel themselves older and mature, maybe a sort of self pride. Well, the Hawaii had (and still have) to be a really different world than my country and maybe ever than yours. I have to go on to read the follwing chapters of the book: there surely is a lot to discover about Nanea and her place. Thanks for sharing your video. Bye.
You are absolutely right about the attention to detail and realistic look of the American Girl food items. Here’s what bothers me, it’s about scale. The 18inch dolls scale are 1:3 scale. Often you’ll find a food that is too large or too small next to a different food item. A can of vegetables can look tiny next to a box of brown sugar. Recently AG released an air popcorn popper with Laffy Taffy…the candy was HUGE! 😂 I’ve seen this throughout the industry and would just like for the companies to have a standard size so that the accessories are more realistic to scale. I’m glad you’re having a chance to read about Nanea and her family. 🙂 It sounds like you’re enjoying it. I haven’t read the book so I can’t comment about it, but I will say that we always wanted our children to enjoy being children. Being an adult is hard and last much longer than childhood. Ah, now I understand; the items dimensions and proportions cannot, obviously, be exactly evaluated by the pictures on the screen, but only by a live viewing, but the cans details, as I see, could not be better rendered; I like them very much. About my A.G. dolls, during a recent travel I knew a lady who, by viewing their pictures, is literally felt in love for them: she says that they look real children and could be only loved, really loved; even her mother and her sister are felt in love for them; I begin to think that I am spreading a sort of "American Girl mania" in my land... Could it become a serious fault of mine? Mah. I just now read another chapter of the book and realized that Nanea is really amazing: beyond than beautiful as a Goddess (in italian: "Nanea, bella come una Dea" - there is a rhyme), is even gentle and sweet as an angel... oh, I am so proud and happy to have her wonderful doll 🤗; maybe it is true: their real counterpart is the true soul of these dolls. I wish you and your family a very happy Easter ✨.

There are so many nice details to this set. I've never seen this set up close. I had no idea that there were fabric bolts that were used for her outfits. That is such a great idea! I don't have any doll food, so I can't comment on inconsistencies. Do you mean inconsistencies in size? Thanks for sharing!
I agree, this set does have great attention to detail. I love the fabric bolts, they are so cute ☺️ Doll food is an odd thing…you’ll see one item that seems a little small and then the same company (AG for instance) makes an item that seems too large. AG has items like a bottled drink, then a piece of taffy, the candy is larger than the bottled drink. 🤦♀️ I just don’t get it. It’s that way often with 18 inch doll food. Sometimes it’s in the same brand while other times it’s that way with crossover brands. I know even real food can be different sizes, but a can of green beans (Maryellen’s airstream) and a can of spam (Nanea’s Family Market) should look like they are the correct scale. The green beans are dwarfed by the can of spam. I hope this makes sense 😂 It would just be nice if they were more consistent. I added a picture in the community section of my channel. You can see the can of spam and the can of green beans 😊
