    Thanks for taking the time. I always wanted to be on the show. I live in Mount Clemens, Michigan, just outside of Detroit and so you break it down and describe it. It's really informative. Thanks for doing that. That was pretty cool

      Thanks so much for coming along and watching!!! I actually had to ask them to change the trips I won to fly from Detroit, instead o LAX. I know very well where Mount Clemens is. Appreciate you!! Peace, Chris

      Amazing to think of all the shows filmed on that one stage. Incredible. Thanks for sharing that and watching! Chris

    10/17/2005 was the airdate of this contestant's episode, but it didn't air until later in 2006

      So many amazing shows from that stage. I remember as a kid Dick Clark on the stage and I looked up and you could see how much makeup they put on him, I will never forget that. I loved the Jokers Wild.

      @inkedbeardsman It's funny so many stations. Try to air that. But I don't know because of the Snoop Dogg version. The rights are different And many networks, including a Canada station, is having so much trouble just to get the rights to it. Luckily I have well over 600 recorded of the jokers wild and I transferred them to DVD M. Pretty good quality of the jokers wild from 1972-86 Even have the full season from game t. V. Perfectly done credits always shown no split crunch, which I hate Gsn does That's about a 175 episodes that I have so I have probably well over 800. If you include tic tac dough and joker

      @anthonymessina9672 very cool!! Yeah, you are right, I never come across that. Must be due to the rights of getting that. Agreed, weren't those all classic shows, so different that what you see now!!!!

      @inkedbeardsman There is no comparison each night almost every night. I watched the jokers wild card sharks with Jim Perry Press your luck peter Tomarken And I do like the Elizabeth Bank version that's the only one that comes close to the original they did while they just spiced it up and I think that's a great job and kept the music to spice it up. That's how you keep shows when you reboot them and you do them. Totally different. You lose people's interest in my opinion. And then I watch Bob Barker's prices is right And then match game with Gene Rayburn It's going to have the memories. I'm glad they kept them in the vaults. Because the game shows today a lot of them. I mean weakest link, okay. Who wants to be a millionaire? Okay, deal or no deal. Okay, but all the rest, not okay. And none of them can hold a candle to the classics. Perfect example. Of 3 stooges. I love them dearly. Almost a 100 years later. Can anybody touch them? No, and they're still funny today. Oh, simply just to make you laugh. I was born in 1964 September So growing up was fun today. Not so fun. If I was a young guy, it just wouldn't appeal to me. I would love the classics and it would be probably within me. I guess

    This was so interesting. Congratulations on being picked and for winning all of those prizes. I had no idea they preselected the contestants. For some reason I always thought that they just pulled names out of a hat or something. It's too bad that they block the celebrities off from the public now. You were there before 9/11 and now everything has changed so much since that date. Everyone is afraid of everyone now. My cousin was on Wheel of Fortune years ago. He didn't win though but the experience of it is probably worth every minute. This was fun to hear about and watch. Thanks Chris!

      Thanks!!! Yes, it was interesting and for the next 10 years, I could attend the Drew Carey tapings but wasn't allowed to be called again (whoch I understand). Yes, I completely agree with you about everyone being afraid post 911. Before that, they had these "shoot sheets" you could pickup at the Hollywood filming office - it told you where everything was filming. I remember as a kid being on the set of the Fall Guy, meeting Mr. T on the Ateam set. After 911, you can't do any of that that anymore. So disappointing. Interesting about Wheel of Fortune. Would be a cool experience. My mom tried out for that (they used to write the tests at the old merv Griffin theater on Vine St) but she didn't get picked. Thanks so much for coming along an always sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate!!!! Chris

    Do you still have any of the prizes you won or did you save any of the tickets from the shows?

    • @inkedbeardsman
      @inkedbeardsman  15 днів тому

      Yes, I have the cue card where the write the name of the contestant if you are the 1st 4 that I had Stan Blits sign (he picks the contestants and was the producer for 16 years), the artwork, the ticket to the show, the name tag, the signed photo of Bob Barker, all the paperwork and tax forms. When you win trips, you aren't allowed to cash them out (the same way you might if it was a car) but we enjoyed going to Seattle. Thanks for watching!!!! Chris
