This was wonderful Chris! I've never seen Lucy's first home before. I just adore it and to be honest with you, I love that one most of all. But I'm a simple kind of person and even if I won the lottery, I would still keep it simple. It has a homey feel to it which is what I love. She was an incredible actress and was so funny even with a straight face. Thanks for the tour. RIP Lucy ❤💐

Thanks so much for joining me and watching!!! Appreciate it. I agree with you, so many of the giant mansions look industrial and have no character. Jimmy Stewart had a beautiful Tudor style home and it was demolished for a mansion. So sad!!! Agreed, always loved Lucy. Hope you have a wonderful 4th holiday!! Chris

Great new video. I remember visiting her home after she died, and before it was remodeled into the mess it is now. We drove down the back alley just out of curiosity. Charo lived right behind LUCY across the back alley. Still does, I believe. We went to the niche you showed in the video and I got a pencil rubbing from her monument plaque. Still have it too. Then before our Hollywood tour was up we went to Spago in BH for ONE nice dinner that we pretended we could afford, hahaha. We were dressed up and almost felt accepted lol. They treated us so nice at the restaurant. Tony Curtis sat two tables away with his tall, beautiful blonde wife. Our waiter said he was in there at least twice a week. Anyway, great video and lots of awesome memories while watching it. More vids please.

Thanks so much!!! I didn't know that about Charo. The neighborhood has changed so much and we were so disappointed when we saw Jimmy Stewarts house being bulldozed. Luckily, we were able to get a brick from it. Interesting about Spago and Tony Curtis. We did the same, we had dinner at Spago back when it was on Horn Ave. We didn't see anyone at that time. Appreciate you sharing those memories and coming along with me to check out the video. Peace, Chris

A friend of mine went up to her house on Roxbury and rang the doorbell. A maid answered and said she wasn't home. They were just so young and had the bravado to do this. I never would have been so brave.

That is so neat. Yeah, hard to believe but probably when we are young, we just don't care. Lol. We waved and watched Jimmy Stewart and Gloria come out of his house, get in the car and back out of their driveway..in hindsight, we should have just walked up and spoke to him. Thx for watching and sharing that!! Chris

The Episodes where the Ricardos "go to Hollywood" are the best. When she sees William Holden in the Brown Derby restaurant , comedy gold is struck. The funniest sequence ever filmed IMHO.

This was fun to watch. Living here in Southern California, we drove by her house a few times when I was a kid. I really like the little blue house that she first lived in. It’s got a lot of charm. Thanks for posting!

I'm still not over that Lucy and her mom were moved from Forest Lawn back to Jamestown. I used to go to the Lucy Conventions in Burbank in the 90s and someone there told my friend and me where Lucy's remains were located at F.L. It wasn't that far from the convention so we decided to check it out. Man, it was hot out there that August day, but Forest Lawn was absolutely spectacular. Just stunningly beautiful as I remember my first time there. Glad I got to see Lucy and her mom before they were taken away. I miss her Roxbury home since it's been renovated after new people moved in. To be able to go up her walkway is pretty amazing. Wish she'd answered the door for you and your sister. 😉 Thanks for the Lucy tour.

Thanks so much for coming along!! I agree with you, there is so much controversy around the family decision, based on a financial interest, to move their remains. F.L. is absolutely stunning and it really is sad that they were moved. Yes, I agree, it is so sad how all those houses are gone or renovated. My father and I watched James Stewart and his wife, all dressed up, back out of their driveway. He waved to us. His house was bulldozed so we were fortunate to get a brick from it, but it is all so sad. Old Hollywood is lost. Appreciate you watching!! Chris

@anthonyvarricchio1404 yes, I agree. All the houses now are just cold.mansions. Jimmy Stewart has a beautiful Tudor style home. They bulldozed his home and now it is just a big mansion. Was way better before. Thx for watching

Lucille Ball was the very first female to ever wear pants on screen - tv. Vivian Vance was the second. Mary Tyler Moore was the third on the Dick Van Dyke Show. It was controversial when Lucy did it. She was also the first female to be pregnant on screen.
