We all need happy days. Even if it’s just for an hour. The Price is Right makes me feel like a winner. The experiences for contestants and the kind Drew Carey and staff keep me watching as often as I can. I love Drew’s sign-off message every day. I ♥️ you all 🤗
@Erik Stone, yes, few months ago, on Thursday, February 1, 2,024[same date of both "1st Day Of Black History Month" & my male maternal stepcousin's "45th birthday🎂", also], "The Price Is Right" game show has Mr. Drew A. Carey as its present host just as his studio announcer there is Mr. George E. Gray!
Hi! Yes, again, [& particularly with my Bible-believing Christian elderly 73-year-old late maternal step-grandmother's (would've-been) "97th birthday🎂" having been today, also,] truly, I'd like to thank somebody of you here who had liked & highlighted my worthwhile, honest, & accurate comment to this Erik Stone here! Sincerely, I appreciate it!🥰🤩😂😊⭐🙏🙌🎵🎶🎁🍎🍏🐎
You know I have been watching this show for years ain’t not one person! Not one person ever ever thanks Drew for him letting folks say hi at the wheel to their families I think this is so inconsiderate!
2for the price, they were practically giving the prize away, 1) the price almost always ends in zero, I've seen this game many times and I haven't seen the exception yet, 2) they almost never have prices less than $500 unless its a small price you're bidding on to get a chance at the big prize. So all she had to do was ask for the middle number, she should have known the first number was 7 and the last number was zero, she should have asked for the second number. It astounds me how many people appear on the show but dont actually watch the show, or if they do, they dont pay attention.
And it pisses me off when they allow lawyers on the show. I have nothing against rich people, but they should give the spot to someone who needs it. Whats $2000 to a lawyer? That money could have meant the world to a struggling single mother. I get that game shows aren't charities but it wouldn't kill them to take into consideration a person's financial need. Rich people and prior contestants being allowed back after a decade, piss me off and make what's otherwise a fun, entertaining show, virtually unwatchable.
How on earth do you expect them to know who does what for a living and who is a struggling single mother?? 😵💫 I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that you've never been to a taping of the show before, have you? There's no application process or anything like that. You simply order the free tickets online and then show up on the day your ticket says that you're taping. Then you wait around ALL DAY long until it's time for your show number to tape (they tape 5 or 6 shows in a single day). Then, in groups of 10, the production assistants will walk all 200 people in the audience over to the producers and have you line up, shoulder to shoulder, side by side. There you will stand in front of the 3 producers who run the show, and are sitting in front of you in production chairs. Then, one by one, they will go down the line and ask you to say your name, where you're from, and anything interesting about yourself that you'd like them to know. They don't ask you anything personal, like what you do for a living or whether you're a single parent or not. They don't WANT to know these things because there will always be people who cry discrimination (because you can not discriminate against someone wanting to be on the show, just because they've chosen to be a lawyer as their profession -- are lawyers not allowed to have fun?? Lawyers usually have MAJOR school loans to payback, too -- in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not every lawyer is wealthy). In that time that you're standing there, you get maybe 10 seconds in front of the producers and THAT'S when you have to impress them, because THAT is the moment that they decide who gets called down to contestants row and who does not. They pick bubbly, enthusiastic, excited, happy people who may have a cute little story to tell about why they're excited to be there or a story from their childhood that involves TPIR. They want people that it's fun to root for. They're NOT going to pick someone who is crying about being a single mother or talking about being homeless... because the audience doesn't want to see that. They tune in to be entertained, not to hear people's sob story, because the viewing audience WANTS TO BE ENTERTAINED. They don't tune in to feel badly when someone like that loses because that's depressing! This show is for entertainment purposes only, and there's absolutely nothing entertaining about watching people that are down on their luck, that you feel badly for, LOSE.
@@x_Punisher_x Yes I have been to a tapping, and they do know what you do for a living, he even had it on his shirt! And I did NOT say pick people who are crying, I said pick people who could use the prizes or money more! Its weird how you think, just because someone's poor they're crying or homeless and want everybody to know. And how do you know what the audience wants to see? I would watch more if they had less rich contestants, everyone I know feels the same way. And I would think a lawyer would be far less bubbly and excited about prizes he can afford to just buy then someone who could otherwise never afford them! And school loans, seriously? How many impoverished lawyers do you know? They are statistically far better off then the rest of and far less likely to be in debt! We all have student loans, but most of us don't have an up to 1000/h job to pay them off. AND even the poorest lawyers are far closer to wealthy then many people in the audiences. These are facts!! And you can have fun just attending the taping, but if having fun means coming on stage and taking a spot from someone who could use the money and prizes a lot more, then yes they should NOT be allowed to have fun! Since there are very few spots available its shouldn't be wrong to suggest the people who need the money or cant afford the prizes otherwise, take priority. Just like a crippled person should have first dibs on a seat on the bus even though its not the healthy persons fault he's not crippled, but I guess you would consider that to be discrimination against the able bodies person. Sounds like you need to grow up!!!
I dont knkw about this but i think once rule they chould change is whoever gets the closest wether its under OR over should win...its a shame when someone is a dollar over the exact price and loses
@@thef1cliptakers450 No, this isn’t the exact same full audience what we thought would comeback, this is a different audience, less people which is 175, not even close to 300.
Honestly we don't need 300 people in one studio. Especially since only 9 are called to "Come On Down!" in a single episode. Lowering that number to 175 not only makes the audience more manageable but also increases your odds of getting called. I see it as a win-win.
You do realize this is a new era the Drew Carey era a new decade Drew hosted this show since the early part of the 2000s. Bob Barker retired since and now he has passed away. This is not the 1970s, 1980s and 90s anymore
@@christophernicholson20 ok and? When Drew started out it was fine. It was in the 2010s that things drastically changed, hiring the worst announcer in PiR history and gathering an audience that are so fake with their enthusiasm/excitement lmao. Mike Richards really did ruin TPiR.
