I am 14 and i am stressing over getting old (edit) thank u guys for all the sweet comments, I literally forgot about this video. But life’s greater than ever hope u all are doing well and are happy 😊😊
Experience is VERY important when you are going for your degree. If you're watching this while you're in college, message some research directors on your campus and ask if they have any positions open. It doesn't matter if you're undergrad, lab experience is lab experience. Plus, you will make a lot of friends in that field!
I'm going back for my second degree in Biology (I wasn't truly interested in my first degree, Psychology) and this is one area I'm into. I did 4 courses so far, and I have about 14 left for the major. I'll heed your advice!
right! i have almost two years of lab experience from assisting in a biochem research lab and i have learned so much that i'm comfortable doing procedures in almost every single lab i've stepped foot in
Don't feel bad, it's pretty attainable! If you get a degree in a hard science and an internship in the field you've already done most of the legwork. Don't count yourself out already!
Maybe do more research on that lol. I used to be really into forensic science too and i actually was about to go to school for it, but looking into that field more i found out that the job is so over saturated that there will be a lot more graduates than there are jobs so the job will be VERY competitive. Someone fresh out of college will find it very difficult to find a jod since there will be others with years of experience and tbh you'll most likely to go into student debt for the degree and in the end the job doesn't pay the best. Of course this is my advice, if you guys really want to then go for but i would do a lot more research and plan out your future for it.
Mai Dao hi, do I need to be really really good in English if I’m going to work as a Forensic scientist in the future? I’m 16 and I think I struggle in English writing and speaking.
If you live in Britain, this job is going to be much harder to get. My science teacher told me that one of the main forensics departments was shut down a couple of years ago , limiting the jobs by a lot. So really work hard for those grades to give you the full potential
I just wanna examine crime scenes...I'm almost 14 and I find this subject very interesting, I like Biology (not a big fan of Chemistry and Physics heheh 😅 ) I also have a curious nature, I don't get disgusted by many things, that including blood, spilled organs, dead bodies etc. Finding out what happened at a crime scene, how it happened and finding the culprit/culprits seems like something i'd enjoy doing. The two paths I want to choose between is this and working in the IT industry...one requires lots of math at which I'm not that great and the other lots of Biology/science that I want to learn more of...and guts which I already have, I even learned english and now I'm learning german, I hope I get to be someone worth the time and work something I have a passion for
What is her contact information? I am 17 and looking into being a part of this career field and potentially majoring in forensics once I am out of high school, but would prefer to have some extended knowledge before I make my choice of major final. If her information is available can you please share it with me so I may contact her personally? Please and thank you.
I am thinking of becoming a forensic pathologist but I am not sure because a lot of people tell me that it’s hard to work with those dead bodies. I hope i’ll witness in the future working with dead bodies.
Im 17 and am about to enter my final year of highschool, and im so stressed over what to major in college. Im very interested in Forensic science, but also in Political Science and Social Work. I guess I'll revisit this when im older and see where I ended up 😂
I’m 13 (I turn 14 in a few days) and this is really my dream job. Except going to the Marines or Air-force is also apart of my dream.. I don’t know if I should go to college first and then the military, or go to the military and then college. (I know I still have 4 years to make up my mind it’s just been bothering me for a while now). Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
I’m in 5th grade and I want to be a forensic scientist but blood grosses be out a little but not to bad so hopefully me thinking blood is gross won’t make that impossible
If i study btech in high school im going to 9th grade rlly soon and we already have to fill the forms and if i study btech and graduate 10 and go to a uni can i study forencic and become one
Is it ok to have bio and physics to be a forensic scientist or do I have to have all 3 plz answer this And can you have a list of what you can do with each class TY very much
yes you only need one degree, but you will be taking classes like biology, chemistry, calculus, biochemistry, instrumental, physics... to get that one degree. Im not sure for other majors but at least for mine I needed all those classes and more, my major forensic science in toxicology. I hope it helps.
@@naty821 hey ik I'm super late but your degree was in forensic science yeah? So how was it finding a job, if you were able to, in that field? Because others have said that it will be easier if you take a degree like just chemistry or just biology as it opens more doors, but I'm considering doing a forensic science degree and then picking crime scene investigation
Omg Google, and curiousity brought me here 🤣 this is basically my dream job now the fact that I'm only 11 years old 💕💕💕💕😊 love this Last time I really wanted to become a analytical chemist but, I think I love this more so... Wish me luck 🤞😃 in the future 💕💕💕💕💕💕
what is the field of working in the lab and DNA investigation, if you interested in forensic medicine bt not particularly crime part? pls anyone who have an idea to reply for me
forensic dna analysis this might include serology (body fluids), dactyloscopy (fingerprints), odontology (dental) or podiatry (feet/footprints). theyre all involved in the identification process.
No, for the lab job you need a science degree... with all those calculus, chemistry, physics, biochemistry courses, etc. But I think with a criminal justice major you can try to get a job to collect evidence, like taking pictures, documenting where and time evidence was collected and that stuff.

After I graduate form highschool , I wanted to get a degree in forensic science and criminology. Geeez everything's so competitive nowadays 😟😟
Don’t even worry about that, when you’re doing what you love, and you’re fully committed, it comes to you I promise
I agree! Everything is so competitive and also very expensive. Education seems almost impossible these days.🙁
