I love this video I can’t believe no one hasnt commented yet. I’m 16 and I’m considering forensic science. Specially the ones that work with dna. Cool video Update: I'm 19 and in college right now I'm still interested in pursuing forensic science
I’m a freshman in college looking to get my associates in this course! Looks amazing and interesting. I’ve always wanted to prove to myself that I could be good in chemistry and understand all this complexity and craziness!
Hi... I did my graduation in forensic science and criminology... I wanna continue my studies with the Msc forensic in Canada. How can I apply for that??and is there an any entrance exams???
Interesting video! It's amazing how many overlap there can be between biochemistry/biotechnology/biomedical oriented techniques and how some are applied in forensic labs! They should integrate a module like forensics in a biomedical science degree I think! Edit: love the accent! :)
Hello Rogelio. I am applying to universities for the same major Biochemistry. What school do you attend that’s offering the Washington state patrol forensic lab?
Wow cool, didn't know a forensics focus was an option for biochem grads. I get this question often for biomed. In any case, many techniques are overlapping in both!
@@danyelo9032 You have to hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), which means you need to go to medical school. You should probably go to a residency system and complete a fellowship. At last, get some certifications. It really depends on where you wish to be a forensic pathologist. The training I mentioned above is in a total of 14 years if I'm not mistaken...
Forensics is what I want to go into if I don’t get accepted into medical school. I’m a 3rd year university student on my way to get my bachelor of science in chemistry and medical sciences.
They have classes geared toward processing evidence and criminal justice background. Check to see if your school has a forensic science so you can switch to that or have a double major with both since bio classes will overlap and/or minor in criminal justice with bio.
Actually, most places hiring prefer a degree in the hard sciences as opposed to forensic science degree, just take supplementary courses. It’s always best to look at job requirements rather than what a school counselor says.
@@catcollector1257 Hi there fellow Belgian. Do we even have a specific forensics degree in Belgium? In my time (graduated in 2012) we didn't, but that could have changed now...
@@catcollector1257 not true at all, maybe your thinking its better for you if maybe you want to switch career. But to know how to document, chain of custody, and basic standards or protocols in lab you gotta do forensic biology or forensic science or minor in biology.
i’m doing my National 5s right now but for my Highers next year i’m doing biology chemistry maths english and modern studies. and i want to be a forensic scientist
You need to have some sort of degree in the sciences (usually biology, chemistry, or physics) to be a forensic scientist. But a minor in forensic psychology would be great to get in the field!
YES this has everything i want in a job; science, chemistry, ANd criminal investigation?? PLS- 💀💀 100000% gonna major in this bois (i use bois as a gender neutral word pls don't get offended.. 😭😭)

Same here! I’m an incoming freshman though. But keep up to good work!! :)
There's also plenty of molecular biology and biophysics involved ;)
Currently studying my Bachelors In Forensic Science ♥️
Nice
What alevels did u take and how hard is the lab work?
what externals did u take in high school and is the subject interesting ?

I'm currently in school to do this and I may specialize in DNA analysis. It's a tough road but I'm trying my best
I love forensic so much, I just need a job now as I completed my BA in Forensic Science and Technology. Can you kindly assist Joni, thank you so much.
