Bravo Josh. Another informative video and tremendous performance. My brother-in-law is an amazing pianist. He and my sister will be looking for a piano for their new home in Florida. I'm lobbying for the 785 or 795GP. He's got a Baldwin M here so his expectations are rather high. I'll be sharing this video. Oh and thanks for including Don't Stop Me Now. It is my favorite of all the songs you perform and hearing it combined with the Rhythm for this video was awesome!
Jim! Thank you so much for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed my review 😊 I love playing Don't Stop Me Know so I'm glad you like it! Sometime I'll record the whole song so we have it to enjoy all the way through the song. Jim, I sure appreciate you sending my video to your family. We have (2) CLP-795GP's with the polished ebony (shiny black ) in stock. Right now, pianos are back-ordered (just like most things right now...) so having the models in stock with timely delivery is not as common in the piano world as we would like. If your family has an interest, I sure would appreciate the opportunity to earn their business. We work with musicians all around the country, being I have the pianos in stock I could have the piano shipped in a matter of days to Florida and we work with local movers for a flawless delivery. You'll see on our website we are offering rebates on pianos right now because we opened a new piano store 🥳 popplerspiano.com/pages/promotions popplerspiano.com/pages/clp-clavinovas Have a GREAT day! - Josh
@@PopplersMusic Thanks Josh. I’d love to hear Don’t Stop Me all the way through. I look forward to that. And I’ll keep you posted on the 795GP - they are building so they are far enough out that they need to wait. They already have a lot in storage. And due to the new home market in Florida right now the dates could continue to fluctuate. But I’ll keep recommending the 795GP and Popplers.
@@Jim_Mundy Never a rush to pick out a piano 😊 It is a big decision that should be thought through carefully. Also, building a home is quite an undertaking! I hope the construction goes as smoothly as it can. I really enjoy Florida. I have family there so I go as often as I can to enjoy the beaches and the great atmosphere. Have a GREAT week! - Josh
Hi there! Thank you so much for your amazing content. I’m considering getting the CLP-795GP and was wondering if it's possible to add more premium sounds, like VST Keyscape? Also, can I use a Korg NanoKontrol 2 with it? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could point me toward any resources-whether articles or videos-where I can learn more.
Hi there! You are most welcome and thank you for watching!! You can run sounds from a DAW through the speakers of the piano but you can't download them to the piano. Please feel welcome to reach out to one of our locations to talk with a piano specialist. We would be honored to work with you! (701-746-7471). Also feel welcome to email me at josh@popplersmusic.com. Have a great day! - Josh
Your reviews are outstanding. Wish I had discovered them 6 months ago. I have a 795gp and enjoy it very much. I am only an intermediate player but have a sensitive ear. Can you compare this piano to the Avant grand series in terms of sound and touch. I know there is a big price jump. Is there an equally large jump in playing experience?
Thank you so much Shannon :) I sure appreciate your kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed our video! I am going to be working on comparison videos next now that I have reviewed most of Yamaha's piano options. What would you like to see? NU1X compared to the N1X? Perhaps you would like to see how the top-of-line Clavinova models compare to the Hybrids? I would be happy to make a video that you suggest! Have a GREAT day! - Josh
@@PopplersMusic thanks Josh for your kind reply. I would enjoy seeing and hearing a comparison of the top of the line CLP series with the Avant Grandes. Other than acoustic keys, what are the upgrades I might experience in terms of sound?
@@BellaRose6 Great question! (sorry for the later reply) The speakers and speaker placement on the Avant Hybrid series have a different timbre when compared to the higher-end CLP series. Another difference is the number of instrument options (ie voices) and backing rhythms tracks. In my experience, people prefer the timbre of the NU1X and the N1X when comparing the CLP-785. In my experience, when I am working with people that are comparing the CLP-785 (highest end CLP upright) and comparing to the NU1X, it comes down to what your goal with piano is. If you are looking for the best piano-centric experience, then the Avant series will be better for you. If you are looking for a bit more creative flexibility with instrument sounds and backing tracks, you will prefer the CLP-785. When setting the piano up more permanently you can use a clip to manage the chord, but yes it would be nice for a channel in the leg. The Yamaha N1X Avant Grand piano does have this feature for hiding some of the chords. - Josh

Thanks so much for your reply. I have come to the conclusion that a N1X is a better fit for me and am going to try one in early 2023.
7:15 what piece is that?
It's a snippet from Chopin's Scherzo no.2 (middle section). It's one of my favorite parts of the piece :) - Josh

Yamaha should hide the power cord inside the hind leg.

Инструмент крутой, но цена ещё круче.
