Another superb demo of this very gifted man! His rendition of Dire Straits on the Bösendorfer is astonishing............We love you Tony! Adri from Holland
Tony, your demonstrations are the best and very helpful, to say the least. Also, the quality of the sound of your demonstrations brings justice to such beautiful Yamaha and other brands' instruments. Thank you for your commitment to the quality of the information given.
Dear Tony, thank you very much indeed again for this superb presentation. May I ask you a question. If you compare the action of the Yamaha CLP795 GP and the action of the Kawai Novus 10S which is more realistic. And the sound if you compare them both? Thank you for you statement. Best regards, Kai
I'm not a piano player, but am intrigued by the concept of a digital grand piano. I always thought the point of a grand piano is its superior acoustic sound quality, whereas the sound of an electric piano is shaped digitally, by its circuits and settings. How long have dgp's been around?
If anyone hasn't told you lately, you are sick! I could close my eyes and listen to you play all night long. I recognize the song you are playing with the string/piano, but don't know the name of it. What is the name of it? So, so, so beautiful!
I notice on my p85 the sound closest matched a real piano in the high register and low, but the mid is when you really notice it’s electric. Is this the same for tbis piano?
I am still confused about the volume control for this piano. How load should the volume turned up to match up the real acoustic piano? Can anyone help with my question?
Hey, great review! I have seen some other reviews of the CLP795GP and one thing I have noticed is than no one plays examples of the organ sounds. Is this to not offend Hammond puritans? :) I live in Norway, (used to live in Banstead actually, not far from Reigate), and there is no supplier that has this model in shop - closest is Denmark. I am buying this piano no matter what, but it would have been nice til hear the organ capabilities...
Hi Brian, in a matter of fact there is another review where you can hear the organ on the Yamaha CLP 795GP and it is on UA-cam called Yamaha CLP-795GP Clavinova Piano Overview | Popplers Music. By Popplers Music at 7.58 minutes to hear it if it helps. Regards, Jean-Claude

I like how this is always in tune but eventually this will be going to the trash when it’s no longer repairable, if that day comes. My guess is you could get 20 years out of it but eventually parts might not be available.
Im planning to get CLP 785 as well.. but im concerned about the pedals in digital piano. Do all 3 Pedals funktion as they should be like in accoustic piano???
If it’s in question make sure you deal with it under warranty. Ideally there is a technician that can come to your home. Might need to contact a few large music stores as well as the one you bought it. These technicians are hard to come by and electronic instrument repair tend to have long wait times.
@@bonnersmusic I believe the Yamaha DGB1KENST Disklavier Grand Piano is still available as I know we have it in Australia. That cost a whopping $30,495.00 Australian dollars :) That is if they want a self playing Grand Piano! :)
@@davidrockefeller2007 Very few reviewers explain how the sound has been captured, but this is very important. Merriam Pianos sometimes put up screen captions saying something like direct line-in, or internal speakers. The sound changes dramatically.
Thank you for the video mate i hit like and subscribe Classical piano master here . I have a new one but I’m thinking of trading it up for the CLP 795 it’ll be my in between Piano until I get an acoustic GB 1K I think it’s a really good digital grand piano

I bought this piano and even though it took 5 months to arrive it was worth the wait. I LOVE the beautiful bass tones. A real pleasure to play.
I bought the clp-785 off them, the MK store. Great buying experience and a great instrument, love it

It must be an incredible feeling to be able to play an instrument like this man. I play a bit by ear & play guitar but this is brilliant. 👍👍
This fine presentation really does this great instrument justice.
Grand Presentation and playing😍
4:15 - wonderful sound!
when you put in a second layer of sound can you control the volume of the second sound?

Music Of The Night from Phantom of the Opera.
Mi scusi potrebbe dirmi se il suono che sentiamo proviene dagli altoparlanti o direttamente dal generatore ?
Between the clp 785 and the clp 795 gp, is the difference purely aesthetic or is there a significant difference sonically?
Il suono è quello degli speakers del piano ?
what is the song on 4:15 ?

Tony wasn’t using it in the context that Foster was dead.
Rip David.

Does it print noisy logo on both side?
Does it use electricity to play?
Yes!
No two AA batteries will do

The pedals on my CLP 785 seem to function quite effectively.

will this one be a player piano also ?
No this is not a player piano. Unfortunately Yamaha does not produce a digital self-playing piano at the moment

Is the CLP795gp worth the extra money over the CLP785?
A bit more amplification and based on the law of diminishing returns expect a bit more for lots more bucks. I went with the CLP 785.
But are we hearing the speakers?
Need to hear this in person for sure.
