- We threw together a turbo setup on Charlie's Geo. Not trying to make any extra power just trying to hear cool turbo noises. Sound clips at the end of the video, enjoy :)

Haha, instead of having 55 hp, it probably has like 57hp. But honestly the best thing to do would have been to swap the trans to a 4.39 which is on the 96+ 3cyl metros. That one has a 4.10. Also, for anyone that doesn't know, the predecessor to the metro was the chevy sprint. They had a turbo model. This video was cool though.
Dude that thing sounds unreasonably badass, plus it seems to spool so fast. So cool.

Note to any Metro owner out there... If you dont have an A/C compressor in the way then a bigger WIX 51515 oil filter will screw right on. Cross reference it if needed. Probably holds an extra quart of oil over some the regular little pancake filters the Metro calls for

If you can grab one of them manifolds or even make your own that could really open things up. I know yall have the skill lol. Keep up the good work.

ya, having the exhaust blow directly on the rad is probably a good way to make it cool properly . also needs less timing.

Doubt you'll see this on a video this old, but what did you do for management? And map sensor mods? Timing? Fuel? Nothing?? I want to slap a turbo on my Mazda 626 just for the sound,make maybe 3-5 psi just wondering if I can do that with no other mods

im building go kart with goe dimensions for 2 with geo engine in rear welded diff and turbo i got my hands on turbo looks same in size as yours but no wastegate and it has variable exhaust housing im gona put a button there that is gona rotate the flappers in the housing so i can have the turbo on or off

You need a boost control valve. It's pumping too much boost at idle. If you can regulate it, It'd run like a champ. I'm definitely subscribing by the way!

Raise the pressure at the "carb" there is a presure regulator if yoy put pressure in the manifold it cannot inject enough fuel.
Sounds like your throttle response needs adjustment. 2 turns out on the air/fuel mix and advance your timing manually until your throttle response is dialed in. A quick up and down is all you need. I see you have the stock Tach so you 'll be golden. Also swap your front brake calipers to a 4cyl. Swift setup with the spindles. Stops a bit better. Have fun bois!
