    After washing and conditioning i apply fresh lemon or lime or apple cider vinegar to my scalp to prevent dermititis flare ups. You can also mix either of those in your shampoo ( couple tablespoons) and let it sit on your scalp sbout 5 minutes before rinsing

    Your hair is beautiful, and has grown so much💓 when using a plastic bottle, you can always heat water in a coffee mug in your microwave, then sit the plastic bottle in the water when its hot enough to melt the grease. Im gonna start melting mine, and yes, Sulphur 8 is a necessity in my home on wash day!

    • @SharmaineJoyel

      I used to do that actually! But the bottle kept floating and the water cooled too quickly for me :( I had to keep reheating it to melt the whole bottle of grease lol. I'm glad you like Sulfur 8 too!

    Have you considered using pine tar soap (doubles as shampoo bar)? Cleared up my scalp issues and now I don't need to use the sulfur grease unless I've been deviating from my diet and consuming too much starch and sugars. Dr Ancient (on Amazon) has the best pine tar soap and Sulphur soap too. You can use it head to toe to address fungal acne all over the body.

    Wow your hair is gorgeous!! 😍 I am quite a bit older than you so I am definitely what you would call old school but I use the very small bottles with a metal needle nose tip on them to put my oil in my scalp because I have locs. Whether I want to use a heavy like you or lighter oils I just heat up my water in my electric kettle and grab a coffee mug and set my oil bottle in it and it heats it up and I get warm liquid oil to massage in my scalp. I never would have thought to use a candle warmer but now I might give that a shot too.

    • @sable7114
      @sable7114 Місяць тому +2

      Why do you say that? Is it because we already have sebum on our scalp but because we have curly hair it cannot travel down the hair shaft? When I was relaxed Comet from the moment I stopped putting things on my scalp, my hair took off in growth so I assumed the grease was stunting my growth and I would just moisturize the hair occasionally. However everyone is different and there are scalp treatments that need to be treated and not by just leaving it alone.

    • @FNJ720
      @FNJ720 Місяць тому +3

      @@sable7114 yes, we have our own sebum. It’s a myth that the sebum cannot reach our entire hair strand because it’s coily. That’s not how it works. Sebum coats each hair strand as it grows from our scalps. But that’s only one reason. The other is that over time grease, oils, and butters lead to clogged hair follicles, inflamed follicles, damaged follicles, scalp inflammation, etc. All of these things little by little lead to hair thinning and loss. There are also tiny microscopic organisms called demodex mites that like greasy environments that get into your hair follicles and cause irritation. The greases, oils, and butters do not allow the scalp to breathe and function as it should. I just learned this information this year. I wish that I’d known years earlier.
