To all of you guys affected by Hurricane Helene, I hope things are coming along and I hope you have at least your power back now. We were affected very badly and it was scary . Several trees down and lots of water, still pumping water from my house. Take care and be safe

Joy-el!!! Look at your hair!!! I can't believe how much your hair has grown! I remember your content from yrs ago, simply bc my middle name is Joyal and there aren't many of us lol CONGRATS on your progress ❤
OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Sulphur8 is the only things that controls my scalp psoriasis and the greasing alone took a whole 30 minutes sometimes and i always ended up scooping way too much for each part. Can’t wait to try this.
My dermatologist recommended greasing my scalp while your hair and scalp are wet, and then proceed with your styling products. You are doing it correctly. ❤❤Awesome!
After washing and conditioning i apply fresh lemon or lime or apple cider vinegar to my scalp to prevent dermititis flare ups. You can also mix either of those in your shampoo ( couple tablespoons) and let it sit on your scalp sbout 5 minutes before rinsing
Your hair is beautiful, and has grown so much💓 when using a plastic bottle, you can always heat water in a coffee mug in your microwave, then sit the plastic bottle in the water when its hot enough to melt the grease. Im gonna start melting mine, and yes, Sulphur 8 is a necessity in my home on wash day!
I used to do that actually! But the bottle kept floating and the water cooled too quickly for me :( I had to keep reheating it to melt the whole bottle of grease lol. I'm glad you like Sulfur 8 too!
Have you considered using pine tar soap (doubles as shampoo bar)? Cleared up my scalp issues and now I don't need to use the sulfur grease unless I've been deviating from my diet and consuming too much starch and sugars. Dr Ancient (on Amazon) has the best pine tar soap and Sulphur soap too. You can use it head to toe to address fungal acne all over the body.
My son used this and over a few months his ring worm cleared up. It's a very effective treatment for fungal skin acne and dandruff ❤ He doesn't even need the tar soap anymore, cleared his skin right up!
This brings back so many childhood memories. My Mom used to melt Sulphur8 and another one together. All the girls in my class smelled like Sulphur8 or Dax 😂🥰
The candle warmer is a great idea!! I use to have hair as dense as yours but fibroids thinned my hair. I just had surgery so I’m hoping to get some back.
I like this option! I live in Las Vegas and it's still over 100 degrees so think I will try it. I can set my Sulfur8 light on the patio. By the way, your hair is beautiful! Thanks for the tip!
Wow your hair is gorgeous!! 😍 I am quite a bit older than you so I am definitely what you would call old school but I use the very small bottles with a metal needle nose tip on them to put my oil in my scalp because I have locs. Whether I want to use a heavy like you or lighter oils I just heat up my water in my electric kettle and grab a coffee mug and set my oil bottle in it and it heats it up and I get warm liquid oil to massage in my scalp. I never would have thought to use a candle warmer but now I might give that a shot too.
Thanks for this video! I binge watched all your vids there great. I love sulfur 8 light on my scalp it tingles sooooo good after washing! I notice a lot more oxygen flow to my scalp
I was for a few months but I hated having to wait for my scalp and hair to dry. It takes about 24 hrs and I started having a really itchy and sore scalp 😭
Hi Joyel. Hope that you are having a wonderful day. Do you trim your hair yourself, and if so, would you mind sharing a video, especially at your current length? Thank you, and stay well.
This was so helpful thank you. Quick questions, How often are you applying hair grease In between washes? And how often is wash, deep conditioning day?
You can apply software either faster if you just buy the standalone sulfur and apply it using an oil/butter. Sulfur is not water soluble however, it will still work.
You're hair is very beautiful. Besides using grease, does keeping your hair in a afro also help you to retain length? I'm thinking about keeping my hair in a afro the majority of the time so that I won't have to manipulate my hair so much.
For the first 3.5 years, yes keeping it in an Afro helped! Now that it's much longer and doesn't stand up in afro, stretching it and keeping it in twists helps :)
I would suggest boiling water and pouring it in a small bowl then sit the dropper bottle in it and wait for it to melt that way. I feel that's a bit more effective or even with the squeeze bottle same option. That dropped bottle is so small I would be afraid i might leave it on the warmer for too long and it break
Cyndoll here on youtube talks about the science of not greasing the scalp. Basically, all it does is feed the bad bacteria, yeast, etc on the scalp. Eventually, it leads to dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, which leads to thinning hair and eventually balding.
Girl get you some curl activator and also use your sulfur 8.a plastic shower cap and you would love it. The proactive battery you could just spray on your hair. Because we need our hair to be moisturized along with our scalp. And you will see how much more your hair will grow. You can get it from any beauty supply store or Walmart. Even some grocery stores. 🙆🏽♀️

Bro!!! You look black😊 Love your hair! I'm going to try this because my Dad used this in our hair growing up🫶🏾 And now I need to put "bottle warmer" on my list of things I wish I could get😂
Why do you say that? Is it because we already have sebum on our scalp but because we have curly hair it cannot travel down the hair shaft? When I was relaxed Comet from the moment I stopped putting things on my scalp, my hair took off in growth so I assumed the grease was stunting my growth and I would just moisturize the hair occasionally. However everyone is different and there are scalp treatments that need to be treated and not by just leaving it alone.
@@sable7114 yes, we have our own sebum. It’s a myth that the sebum cannot reach our entire hair strand because it’s coily. That’s not how it works. Sebum coats each hair strand as it grows from our scalps. But that’s only one reason. The other is that over time grease, oils, and butters lead to clogged hair follicles, inflamed follicles, damaged follicles, scalp inflammation, etc. All of these things little by little lead to hair thinning and loss. There are also tiny microscopic organisms called demodex mites that like greasy environments that get into your hair follicles and cause irritation. The greases, oils, and butters do not allow the scalp to breathe and function as it should. I just learned this information this year. I wish that I’d known years earlier.
