Wormwood is so strong! I honestly didnt think about how useful the light bugs were in the patch notes but seeing them in action was great! Even with them getting lost and pathing issues

I wonder what the ruling is for wickerbottom in these types of rushes, since she spawns with access to science machine things. Is she just disqualified? Lol
Was all fun and games until you started beating the shit out of the ancient guardian and I realized it wasn't just for healing to make more living logs.
They flash at the very beginning, butin the description they mention only using the Lightbugs. Nothing else is usable, like even the Moonshroom skill requires a big detour. That being said, Lightbugs proved to be pretty useful, when they didn't get stuck on the edges of the map.
Why do i feel like theres some form of cheating going on, not because ruin rushing is hard but this person clearly got hit numerous times but the game didn't register it? Is there something I'm missing? Around 19:50 for instance they should've taken damage at least once if not more.
Shadow creatures have very strange hitboxes. They are super delayed, and you can get a full hit in before you get hit. Not as easy with high ping, but on a singleplayer is fairly consistent.
I think he is dodging between animations because the damaging hitbox doesn't appear until certain points or something. With good latency to the server, you usually pack in an attack to a shadow creature before the initial attack animation finishes.
It could be lag compensation, the game renders them somewhere where they are not making it look like they are within attack range, instead when they are, according to the server, in a different place.
@@mrwowlpretty sure walik has 0 lag since he could be using the "don't starve alone" mod which nullifies any delay, Terrorbeaks just have delayed hitboxes
@@walik1771 huh, interesting. I noticed that normally killing crawling nightmares as wormwood took 5 hits with a darksword and you would do 272 damage in 4 hits. But now you can kill them with 4 shadow sword hits + normal attack, dealing more than 282 damage (4x darksword hits + 10 is less than 300). So it makes sense that you deal 10% more, because now you deal 74 damage, leaving crawling horrors with just 1 hp after 4 hits. Anyway, thanks for trying to explain it! And good video m8, cheers!

Wickerbottom is annoying though with 250 sanity cap. Takes more care to manage sanity with Wicker.
