Watching you bro makes me so joyous man because back then it wasn’t out there it was just a circle of people that loved it cause it wasn’t an official genre they even had to use pirate radio stations like DejavuFM & RinseFM. Just warms my heart seeing how people over seas react especially you because your are one of a kind man that actually has gone deeeeeep into the scene you’ve even shown me some stuff that people have linked you to watch.

    LARGE UP FLOOBS
    1:19 - yes
    4:58 - C Cane - footage from 'Grime Show: C Cane & Friends'
    5:55 - Yeah that's garage
6:45 - Still waiting on the Young Man Standing 3 visuals with the Wiley vs Lethal clash 🙌
8:12 - Real accent, bit exaggerated
9:45 - Yeah, unless you met them or where from the same ends and saw them about or went school with them or went to the same youth clubs/parties.
If not then not until a few years later when you saw them on DVDs or Music Videos on TV/UA-cam or MySpace or if you saw them at a show.
    15:47 - 🤣👌
17:12 - He was doing this on garage too with Charlie Sloth, Nasty Jack, Swarvo, Skrapz etc (Hype Squad) on pirate radio.
(and yes Charlie Sloth used to be a garage MC on pirate radio before he rapped and before he became a DJ.
17:34 - I can't see because your cam is in the way, it might be Skiba (RIP) - 1 sec lemme check the original vid -
YES it is Skibadee (RIP) - He was a MASSIVE influence on SO many MCs in grime.
He was a DnB MC, and ended up in the same crew as Stormin (SaSaSaS) before they both passed 🙏
    18:38 - 🤣🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯💯
19:39 - 90% of MCs have there own little phrase/saying, some are COLD
19:49 - You could check out his other documentary - 'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'
    - Documentary about how the US changed a genre to a point where they alienated the original fanbase and the people who started it
    - Happened at the same time as grime and there is a lot of overlap
23:04 - 'Danny J Lewis - Spend The Night' (original)
23:38 - 'Give a girl a dead line of coke, SHE'LL WANNA SPEND THE NIGHT WITH YOU' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
    24:57 - 💯
26:47 and 27:29- Watch how he projects his voice towards and around the mic as well controls the distance from it, you will see D Double E and P Money do this too, real MC shiz.
27:09 - 🤣🤣🤣🤣 - (not a engineer btw but I know what you are saying)
27:19 - lol now it looks like I just googled it 🤣
    28:20 - *SHOUT OUT TINTZ*
    BLACK LIKE, BLACK LIKE
    IT'S BLACKER DAN
    NOBODY BLACKER DAN
    😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖
    28:40 - Large up Kirby T
    29:27 - Large up Oblig
    30:42 - Devlin 30:43 - Jammz 30:47 - Manga
    34:34 - footage is from the 10 min clip - 'N.A.S.T.Y CREW - DE JA VU FM - JANUARY 6TH 2004.'
34:58 - Bow is just one part of E3.
35:30 - Tinchy was born in Ghana but grew up in Bow E3, but Chip is from Tottenham, North London.
35:34 - Tinchy is 4 years older than chip.
    36:02 - 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
37:18 - Shizzle was cold, pretty sure he was from east tho (he was in East Connection)
37:21 - Skrapsta is now Skrapz (Church Road/Ice City/CSB - Nines' boy) - he currently on a murder case that got a hung jury 2 days ago, retrial set for next summer 😤
Skrapz, Swarvo and Flirta used to MC garage in north on Raw Misson FM with *Charlie Sloth* (yes he used to MC before he rapped and then became a DJ), Nasty Jack and a few others as part of 'Hype Squad' (aka the original SLK).
27:23 - SWARVO IS A PERSONAL FAVOURITE OF MINE TOO
*SWARVO IS THE GUY WHO FUCKED UP GHETT'S TEETH....*
    Swarvo kills these sets:
'Oblig With Swarvo, Discarda, Nasty Jack, Syer B, Fudz & Tommy B - PyroRadio - (15/08/2018)'
'DJ Jedah With Roachee, Manga Saint Hilare, Scratchy, Riko Dan, Breeze, Swarvo, Durrty Skanx & Subten' - Bit long
    Nasty Jack SHELLS:
'Trends B2B DOK With Nasty Jack, Logan, Name Bliss & Jo So Sick - PyroRadio - (13/09/2018)'
(Not SLK, he's NASTY (Marcus, Griminal, Lil Nasty, DJ Mak 10's cousin) but the Pyro sets made me think of this.
37:31 - CAP, check my comment on the Narstie video, you knew 90% of them.
    40:28 - Nah that ain't Flirta, that's a sample of 'Richard Pryor Dialogue' (1976) at 4:17
41:03 - On an island south of Turkey, north of Egypt, west of Syria aka HOT
    43:18 - 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
    44:43 - 🤣
    48:58 - 'Gundam - Pound Cake Refix'
    REFIXEM
Free on his Bandcamp on GUNDAM003
49:16 - 2 Step was a type of dance music with a 2 step drum pattern - 2 step evolved into dubstep (and no, not the dubstep you have heard of)
    - Dubstep was 2 step mixed with Dub (Dub is a Jamaican genre that was a progression of reggae that focused on the bass end of the music).
Definitely check out Timbah's other documentary - 'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'
    49:48 - 'Gundam - Pound Cake Refix'
Love me a good grime refix
Free on his Bandcamp on GUNDAM003
50:47 - Grime can't die, the people at the core of it won't switch up.
It has it's low points but if you know where to look, then you will never get bored.
50:48 - It has already survived and come back like 3 times 🤣🤣🤣
52:14 - Sort of, more soft, less woke, more close minded.
52:43 - So Solid Crew did it because Dizzee pinched Lisa Maffia's bum.
53:10 - That's the rest of 67 along with LD/Scribz (except the one that was in jail at the time)
53:34 - 'The Police vs Grime Music - A Noisey Film' is a great documentary on this
55:21 - The beat is a refix, it is where you chop up the song to make it repeat certain hits and parts or the song.
It is also a bootleg refix (bootleg meaning no permission from the original producer).
    'Gundam - Pound Cake Refix'
56:55 - That's just how Logan Sama speaks,
I do feel like he was getting a bit emotional to the end of the sentence where he says 'It became very difficult'.
    57:40 - 🤣🤣🤣
    'Skepta - 'Rolex Sweep'
    'Skepta - Sunglasses At Night'
    'Skepta - Badboy'
    AND
'Skepta - All Over The House' - music video is on p*rnhub
    - Skepta's mum made him issue a public apology for the video
Wiley had a pop carer too 🤣🤣🤣
    58:49 - 'Tempa t - Next Hype' NEEDS a reaction
59:46 - Dubstep was COLD before US ruined it,
check out Timbah's other doc 'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'
1:04:25 - These all came out of the backend of Dubstep (when people moved back to grime because US tainted the dubstep name so badly)
Again: check out Timbah's other doc 'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'
    1:05:06 - 🔥 *ULTIMATE PERCY* 🔥
    1:05:19 - 🥶
    1:05:26 - 🙌
    1:06:14 - 🤯
    1:06:44 - 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 TEDDYYYY
1:08:08 - Sent shivers down my body and my eyes fill with water
    - honestly please do 'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'
1:08:33 - WE CREATED DUBSTEP, US RUINED IT
Check out Timbah's documentary - 'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'
    1:08:45 - I AM PISSSSSSSSSED NOW
*'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'*
    FUCK SKRILLEX
1:15:57 - 🤣🤣🤣 - I have seen this doc a bunch of times, I normally just turn it off at this point
1:16:32 - Russian grime is actually hard - They have some FIRE producers too (Moscow Legend, Oddkut)
1:16:41 - Shout out Tre and the producer M4XW311 (and the rest of Greezy Fam)
1:16:41 - Australia has some cold MCs
1:16:51 - Big up the whole Brazil grime scene 🥶
1:17:45 - CHECK OUT 'Pakin - Japanese Grime Freestyle'
America has 'American Grime' based in Florida and they have a slot on Mode FM
1:19:40 - From 'Hell In A Cell' - Ten Dixon's grime clash format with a bunch of MC's in a room all dissing each other, it's a free for all.
'DJ Argue pres: Hell in a Cell 2 | Keep Hush Live (ft. Flirta D, Ten Dixon, RD, Micofcourse & more)'
    1:19:54 - ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
'DJ Argue pres: Hell in a Cell 2 | Keep Hush Live (ft. Flirta D, Ten Dixon, RD, Micofcourse & more)'
    1:21:11 - That's Mez - He doesn't do drill 🤣🤣🤣
    A drill artist could NEVER
    1:22:02 - Basically
Large up Novelist, Large up Faultsz
    -----------------------------------------------------
The guy who made this also made another sick documentary called:
*'All My Homies Hate Skrillex | A story about what happened with dubstep.'*
    - Dubstep is not what you know it as... at least not to the people in the UK started it...
    - It's about another genre that grew in parallel with Grime (Dubstep) and used to have a lot of overlap (some dubstep tracks would get spat over on pirate radio).
    - Then the US got hold of the genre, changed the sound but not the name. Legit ruining for the original fan base with over compression, lack or groove, stupid noises etc etc etc
_'If grime is the voice of angry urban London, dubstep is its primary echo, the sound of dread bass reflecting off decaying walls.'_
It also touches on garage and the evolution into grime/dubstep
    Also FUCK brostep
    -----------------------------------------------------

I always loved Flirta on tracks but when I first heard him in person on a set, that's when I realised properly how incredible he is. Often mics are bit distorted and you don't catch everything an MC says but with Flirta it never used to matter, he would just create a vibe or energy that sends the crowd insane. What he was saying was not important, we could all lock into the vibe and just be hanging on every sound like "where's it going to go next". You don't really get that with any other MC.

21 seconds is UKG. Grime came from UKG/2 STEP\Dark 4x4\Hip Hop and Jungle. It's where it's orgins came from. It's MCs came from these genres. Mostly rave genres but it's street music too... Like Wiley started as a Jungle/DNB MC...there was UKG/Early Grime crew called Hype Squad. There was a few emcees that used to do skatting, make noises... You should look for Hype Squad on Raw Mission. To address the point you made about Logan speaking the truth about the state of grime but looking uncomfortable doing it, it's most likely because at the time Logan was a radio DJ at KISS, one of the largest radio stations in the UK. Potentially losing his day job over speaking about something he is clearly passionate about, but was actively policed, understandably stressed the man out and made him try to be as careful with his words as possible.

The American equivalent would be Das Efx, Chip FU (Fu Schnickens), Leaders of the New School or Supa Natural, radio set wise Grime was basically the early Cold Crush era of HipHop when MC's spat live in raves and were only heard on tape...it's basically history repeating.

Ribz got mentioned a few times in this video and I just want to point out he did time in prison for violent sexual assault of a random woman in Cricklewood train station. He engaged the girl on the platform at 6am in the morning when she told him to leave her alone he violently dragged her into the underpass at the station and sexually assaulted her. He only left when he was disturbed by an arriving train. He has claimed in recent years that it was just a robbery and he was stereo typed. Facts are he was so off his face after coming back from a rave and he seemed oblivious he was being recorded on CCTV in a train station. He had some good grime songs and set appearances but I refuse to cement his legacy in anyway. Some people want to pretend it didn't happen and turn a blind eye in the scene, or they are to scared to say anything, or they just didn't know. I say fuck that guy those crimes where never acceptable in the endz!!!

This was awesome to watch 😂❤ Love from The Bronx, NY! I’m aging myself with this one, but when I heard Skepta, D Double, THEN, Flirta D in 2005 (after a trip to the U.K.), I stopped listening to Grime. At 12 years old, I said: “Nobody will ever top what I just heard in a noisy recording of whatever Rave this is…”. I knew what I heard was special, and to this day, I am amazed I remember that first moment I heard Flirta D. I wish more people appreciated Grime, but the younger generations are taking it further and it is quite refreshing.
Big up yourself bro 😎 I will link some videos below 👇 for review and enjoyment!

@@Jurnalist_ Lol I was listening to a unique darker garage track (from when garage was transitioning into grime) and it turns out one of the guys behind it went on to produce/write/mix for Kanye, Pop Smoke, Pusha T, DJ Khalad, Lil Pump, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Tyga, The Wanted, Rudimental etc etc
      Tune is:
'Active Minds - Hobson's Choice (Tune For Da Man Dem)'
(The track is 7 mins long, has a vocal sample when it drops. It drops at 2 and a half mins in (long intro like most garage because it is built for vinyl mixing and built to build/progress over the duration of the track)).
NOT SURE WHY THIS GOT DELETED:
      - Real transitional shizz
      - When garage started getting darker it was a vibe
      - Yeah real druggy music
The DJ for OT Crew (Devlin's crew) used to work in record distribution to the record shops, he said this was the first record he heard where he was like 'this was when things started getting darker, when I heard this, I noticed things were getting darker, that's when grime began' (paraphrased)
Definitely a vibe, definitely different to the typical upbeat and happy garage that was popping prior to this.
      ------------------------------------
Some more underground Garage beats (if you do do a reaction to these, do one big 'garage spesh', no need for individual vids):
(in no particular order (actually probably gets better the further down you go)):
      Playlist:
      ua-cam.com/video/tjuynOikZkA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheCunce
(one of the songs was the one Ghetts was chopping up while spitting on that Rudekid x Ghetts set
I am no way near as knowledgeable about garage, thats my taste in garage anyway (tried to give a range of sounds (eclectic)).
