I swear watching a video of D Double ain't gonna explain it. You have to experience him. I was at Ghetts show and D Double just came on the stage and did a adlib and just got a automatic reload. The crowd just went crazy. He controls the crowd with the Mic and his stage presence is another level. He has been around so long on all types of Drum and bass, Jungle, Grime Garage he a legend. I can only think of ODB as a comparison in US Rap. What was it that made ODB be loved so much? It wasn't that he was the coldest on the Mic but his presence was always amazing. Hope you get what I mean lol
You are spot on. Saw him about 2 weeks ago in Paris, crazy how mad people go just hearing "Oh my word" ahah He's just something special, and what is even more incredible is that he can be high as a kite, like barely able to have a convo, but the moment he grabs a mic he just switches and goes hard. Actually got to chat with him after the show, he came down in the crowd, super chill and humble guy. The goat, period.
D is a hype man! He gets the whole crowd on a million just from one of two sounds “ooooooh, oooooh” or “wit da bup bup”. It’s why he’s a g.o.a.t. He’s perfected the science bringing the whole night to life with his presence alone

'D Double E - Frontline Lyric Video' - Lyric video of an OLDSCHOOL track, probably my favourite D Double E track, has a bunch of the lyrics from this compilation on it in crisp audio.
if you want a quick, actual decent set where his words are intelligible I recommend this 15 min video'd radio session with JME, Footsie and DJ Logan Sama. The quality is good and theres a bunch of worthwhile reloads in there from everyone, it doesnt feel like theyre wheeling it for the sake of wheeling just because its D Double. You dont have to react to it but think its worth checking out whenever you have time. Someone has also timestamped all the instrumentals in the comments. There's arguably better sets but this has 250k views and no one ever mentions it, the instrumentals used are good and everyone flows off everyone nicely. Regarding the SlewDem crew graphic..Slew dem crew were probably the most dangerous and feared group of grime artists hailing out of East London.. The logo fit them perfectly haha...Their 'Non Stop working' dvd is a classic.
D Double E is a living legend. Any UK artist will tell you he is the number 1 grime artist of all time, from Dizzie Rascal to Skepta. Its like how NY old heads are obsessed with Hov or Nas, you had to be there... I remember being in school and having the WHOLE assembly hall drowning out the principle by shouting "Ouuuuuuughhhh Oughhhhhh.. itsss meeee, meeeee" teachers face went an angry pink.

It's hard to explain why Double is who he is from footage but the guys a fucking legend been about since day 1 especially when it comes to Grime music. He's always been a proper mic man can ride pretty much any beat which is mad 😂 grime, drum and bass he started on jungle which is that really fast music he was riding in the video. He's always been unique and just done his thing never really followed what was popular at the time, another thing bout double is he's hard to come by like he never used to do interviews much or be much of a talker but then he jumps on mic and has the most energy kinda mysterious ahaha but yeah he's sick man got reload bars for days and just been sick from day. Big ups the videos have me dying 🤣🤣🤣

Appreciate you watching man (I’m the original uploader). There’s a part 2 as well if you’ve ever got time 😎

I had to learn this the hard way. Now I’m a convert of the house of Double. 😂😂

D Double has bars for days though…
It's the energy 100% Double is a real MC, in that as you said he works the crowd like putty. When you put that and a good DJ together that is special.
