You also need to slightly pry out the tab that is on the interior side of the socket. I pulled the bottom tabs only but the problem kept coming back after a few days until I realized there was another connection on the SIDE of the socket. Thank you for this video. It has saved me $$$ in garage repairs.
At first I didn’t believe the solution was this simple because I have been trying to figure this out for months, but this was actually my problem. Pulled the connector out alittle bit and put some bulb grease in there and everything was working as normal. Thank you so much

Today I fixed the blink light on my sisters car, I’m 62 years old and I watch this video and did it. The only hard time I had was to put the whole part back but I set up and put the screws back and the light works perfectly.
Thank you for sharing. I replaced my turn signal bulb without removing the entire light housing. It is easy to get to, you just unscrew it and it pops right out. I cleaned it and replaced the bulb, all is working perfectly as it should.
I just replaced both bulbs and was scratching my head as to why they were still hyper flashing. Two tugs on each spring and bam! Good to go, thanks man!

Then I watched your video and got it fixed (without having to remove the bumper cover!) Oh, and don't worry about the "no wrench" jokes from your viewers. They (and I) know where to come for answers.

I was able to remove and replace the bulb holder without removing the headlight assembly as well but removing the headlight assembly wasn't too complicated or labor intensive either. Just came upon your video. My daughters car is having the same issue on her 2012 Elentra. I had replaced the bulb, then I week later started flashing quickly. It was driven me crazy. I will get back to you once I do it. Luckily it’s on the passenger side. Much easier to reach. By the way if you take fuse box cover off, you can reach turn signal.

The front 2 screws are 10mm, and the rear one is 12mm. In order not to hit that little piece, remove the clip. You may not have to remove the headlight if you have an angled small pair of pliers. Great video help!
Hey, thanks buddy! I didn't think it was going to work because the contacts shouldn't loosen up that much, and they looked good when I popped out the bulb. I used a tiny screwdriver to bend them up a bit. Now, good to go!

Awesome, thanks for this video. It doesn't show the specific problem I was having but I can try to see if this fixes it when I get some tools to take the headlight out. Unfortunately I have a feeling the problem might be a bigger issue however as this morning when I got into my car to leave work the headlight was working normally, but when I went out later in the evening to go get my check from one of my jobs and to doordash the issue came back. Funny enough though halfway through the time I went doordashing the issue resolved itself again.
Yes when u pull those two springs towards you than put the bulb back in that should solve it and u won’t have that issue anymore same thing was happening with me try it good luck thank u
It should solve the problem if it does not u might want buy the whole clip and change it out but for me it has fixed issues just make sure u do it right make sure it hold firmly good luck 👍
U know the medal inside of socket that hold the bulb or give power to the bulb those medals pull them towards u so they can hold the bulb firmly it’s a mess with those lights got rid of the car

My 2013 was at the dealer for a month because of this issue and window washer fluid not coming out. I was told it's the BCM so luckily it was covered under warranty and that still didn't fix the issue. So they said the wires had corrosion on them and cleaned them and then magical it worked well so I thought .Picked the car up yesterday and the turn signal on driver side worked hot home and it's acting crazy and will eventually stop working again ..

I have 2012 Hyundai Elantra. The rear turn signal on the left side works but there is no flashing light at the left front outside the car. The left green flash light flashing very fast on the dashboard inside the car. This happens right after replacing Steering Coupler. Is it possible the replacement mess up the left flashing light?

I have the same problem but on both sides. Also one of them stays solid when I turn on the parking/headlights, I tried tugging on the springs and it didn't work for me. The light that was stuck on I put on the opposite side and the problem followed. I think it may be the socket itself. I ordered two from the dealer to see what happens since they are not that expensive. Hopefully, this will do it. Did you unhook your battery? and if so did that work?
No but weird thing is i switched the bulb from the driver side to the passenger side and havent had an issue yet but i did replace the socket at first when that didnt work i got the factory bulbs thats didnt work so i switched them around and it worked .also there arnt to many how to videos for are cars on line so the 2014 and the 2016 are near exact when fixing issues keep posting fix videos on line cuz i will definitly watch them buddy i currently when i drive fast around corners and hit a bump my rear end will jurk hard almost lost control on the freeway going 65 around a bin wasnt driving irrate just doing the speed limit but the back dont have sway bar links

I cant believe you cant just unscrew and screw the bulb in I've never owned a car you had to take the thing apart to change the bulb. What a ridiculous design
It’s tight to get your hands in there to loosen the bulb, luckily my young son was with me and I pointed out where the bulb was and his smaller hands he was able to get the bulb out for me. The driver side is harder to get to than the passenger side. You might be able to reach it with long needle nose pliers to loosen it 1st.
I had this problem we bent the tabs up a bit on the outside and inside of the socket piece and it worked for the trip to the store and back then to my friends house the next day. On the way to my car i noticed the drivers side front flasher stopped working again (perfect timing being midnight on a holiday weekend with 1000 cops out). I took all the back streets home to avoid any unwanted attention and then half way home it started working again. Still not sure whats causing it but dont have the money to get it in to the shop right this minute anyone have any idea ill check fuses when i get up.

@@chrisyb1231 if you reach behind the bulb you will see you can twist and take it out alone without touching the headlight
Anyway to explain better about pulling the springs forward? It didn’t work for me but I’m not sure if I did that step correctly
Make sure they have a good connection the bulb and spring need be firm on to the bulb

I was having same issue as u it comes and it goes one day it will work and one day it does not it drove me nuts 😂
Since adjusting the pins inside the socket has the problem permanently gone away or does it still come back randomly?

What happens if back and front and back bulbs ok but still blinking too fast on one side only?
I never had that issue try to disconnect the battery and reconnect see if that will clear it

I've had to do this before and it sucks it's only on the driver's side but someone said all you have to do is take the fuse box cover loose

It’s tight to get your hands in there to loosen the bulb, luckily my young son was with me and I pointed out where the bulb was and his smaller hands he was able to get the bulb out for me. The driver side is harder to get to than the passenger side. You might be able to reach it with long needle nose pliers to loosen it 1st.

Did u make sure the bulb is sitting firm on springs ? Maybe the unit where the bulb goes in is bad

I had this problem we bent the tabs up a bit on the outside and inside of the socket piece and it worked for the trip to the store and back then to my friends house the next day. On the way to my car i noticed the drivers side front flasher stopped working again (perfect timing being midnight on a holiday weekend with 1000 cops out). I took all the back streets home to avoid any unwanted attention and then half way home it started working again. Still not sure whats causing it but dont have the money to get it in to the shop right this minute anyone have any idea ill check fuses when i get up.
