What a breat of fresh air this video is, especially when compared to the ones where the creator rambles on endlessly. I think most of us just want a quick introduction with the basic facts.
I'm in college rn and i've only been training with handling tig for about a week and now i've done the best "Walk The Cup". i didn't know i could do it but i can and i'm grateful of the experience.
Very good explanation, straight to the point. I’m a pretty good welder, had experience a couple jobs. I don’t really have any experience with getting it set up, but once it is give it to me and I’m ready to go. I still have quite a bit to learn.
Finally, after multiple different videos I finally know how Tig works. It seems like it can be a bit like soldering with the filler rod. I know how to MIG and stick weld, and my dad got a TIG welder so I might have to try it out sometime.
it's very close to the same start with ss it is the easy ist too weld I have been tig welding for the past 20yrs alum takes a little more too do it needs to be as clean as you can get it and heated first before you start too weld
Wow top quality video. Each line you told up were important and relevant to the topic. The animation also helped improve my understanding. Plus I liked how you ended the video, mentioning the key points to remember about TIG welding. Would rate this video a solid 10/10. Thanks!!
They never mention that the inert gasses used also keep the Tungsten from vaporizing as soon as you hit the pedal. It's not just for protecting the weld from contaminates, it also plays a major role in the survivability of the tungsten at those temperatures by never touching an oxygen rich atmosphere.
Quick tip: if you are tig welding a thick piece of metal with a small low amp machine, pre-heat your material so that the torch works faster and penetrate deeper.
At last such a clear presentation. I've seen many videos on this topic and had to look up the comments and a whole lot of rude perhaps hate comments were before me. Thanks for the video!
Amazing video , really helpful and amazing explanations simplified for easy understanding , hope this is shown in colleges which will help better with visualization and understanding of the subject .
Thumbs up! I really liked this video, everything was fine in it. The 3D animations were great and helped to visualize and to understand so much better than 2D layouts (of course for people with no welding backgrounds like me). The background music was also well chosen and made the video more exciting! I think the blueprint theme you've used in your previous videos works better for subjects that are mostly known for people, the subjects they may have already had experiences with them and they just need simple explanations, like all the videos you've made except the previous one. I knew nothing about welding till you started your welding video series, and I have to confess while I had some confusions after watching the last video, it gave me a big picture of welding and if I were to rate it, I would rate it 4 or 4.5 out of 5! Please keep on making more awesome videos and thanks again for sharing them with us for free. I really appreciate it :)
Very understandable. Thanks a lot. Please more videos. I have failed CSWIP 3.1 so I need more information both theory and practice issues. Keep going please
Thanks for this video. I'm just starting to learn how to tig weld with my powertig welder. This video was great help figuring out what is actually happening.
Great video. I'm looking for some videos to show my kids before teaching them how to use my everlast welder. I like the descriptions of the various parts and how they go together.

Thank you! Short, basic, to the point! And no commercials! I’ll check out more.

Short and easy to understand, good job.
Years of welding school and confusing lecturer's teaching all crystal clear in this short video.
What a great video with great animations and narration!
You just about covered 6 months of basic welding training course in 24 minutes. Good job.
plain and simple makes for good video's. I never used TIG as of yet, still using stick and MIG, one day i will give it a try. Thanks.
Best job ever 👌❤️
If you stick weld one handed you will be fine. Mind you, you don't need that steady of a hand to tig because your tungsten doesn't stick out much.
Awesomely clear and concise! Superb!
Thanks!

that's good to know, thanks
Good comment
It cools the torch as well, unless it's water cooled right?
That is an important distinction
Q: If you were TIG welding in a perfect vacuum, would you need the inert gas?
Good explanation ❤
