I got super excited when you mention ElsaWool is Canadian. It's not though. I wonder if you were confusing it with Briggs and Little yarn? It does look delightful, though! Love the shawl thus far!

Re rose - my thought would be to tie it up to the chain link fence for this year (avoid loosing any flower buds), don’t know which rose this is or growth pattern though!

T, I tried right after you posted and for whatever reason UA-cam wouldn’t open up the “comments” section! Weird huh. The garden looks really great! You are quite ahead of me out here in the PNW. I haven’t even put in my Nasturtium seeds yet! I like the cardigan and admire your ability to self draft a pattern AND do the grading as well. I love the new cardigan! ❤ are you going to Maryland sheep and wool this weekend? I decided to finally make the 5+ hour journey and go! I’m excited, but I anticipate I’ll be overwhelmed. 😂
I am! I’ve been so emotionally overwhelmed with my dad in the hospital that I forgot all about it and I’m having a tough time getting excited for the weekend. I would LOVE to meet you. ❤️ My first stop is the wool barn… message me on IG if we don’t find each other before too long.
@@TaylorOwen I'm sure!!!! That's a lot to have on the mind/soul.😥 Hopefully you can find a little bit of an escape at the festival amongst all the beautiful wool. I will definitely message you if I don't see you in the wool barn. Not to stan too much, but I've been a fan every since you knitted that beautiful Danthan sweater and I randomly ran across it on ravelry (possibly before you had a podcast?). Either way, you contributed to my initiation into spinning in 2018 and your designs and color choices continue to inspire me! P.S. If you need a pal to split a fleece with, I'm definitely open to that idea!

I recently saw an article saying the climate changes are really hurting trees, and towns are trying to find more resilient species. I love your cardigan that you're testing! My mind has been aflutter with the decline of my own parent, etc, and i can't focus on knitting at all.
Oh Chrissy, I totally understand. I haven’t knit a stitch all week. Keeping up with life is exhausting enough sometimes. Just feel proud if you get the trash and recycling out on time, or a load of laundry fully processed. These too are accomplishments in themselves! I hope you’re hanging in there. ❤️

So upset I haven’t made the live chat for forever! So sorry about that, it’s been one thing and another-you know, Life, yes, with a capital L. I love the new cardigan and will anxiously await it’s release. I always enjoy your color aesthetic…so in tune with my own. Sorry your father is ill. Sending as many good vibes as possible your way and his. It is so stressful when a parent is sick. I’m sure his knowing you are concerned for him and loving him is helping in a way no medicine can. I am a Swifty by association. My older granddaughter LOVES her. Somehow, (mostly it was the granddaughter thing) she convinced me to get tickets for her concert in Milan, Italy this summer. I’ve been telling them both I wanted us all to go to Italy and she called me on it and caught me in a weak moment. So July 13, we will be there. Ryan, my granddaughter, tells me she is scheduled to sing a selection from her new album. She’s very excited and I must admit, I am, too. I think she has immense talent and hope things continue to go well for her. And for you and yours.

the cardigan looks like the kind that everyone should have in their wardrobe! I am not a Taylor Swift fan at all, I do not get the hype, so I did listen to see if there was something that I wasn't getting , but no. The Andrea Mowry Vellichor looks like twisted stitches, or a tight gauge while you were knitting it so now I want to look it up! Your garden in really amazing! I just looked up Elsawool but they are based in Colorado??
Thank you, Patti! The Vellicor has a Right Twist sts… k2tog, but don’t slip them off and then knit into the first sts. It looks interesting.

Sorry, I really like your knitting, but I don't need to be looked down on condescendingly by you because I don't like Taylor Swift's music. You say of people who don't like her music "it really says a lot about them". Yeah - it says that they don't like her music, no more and no less. You are making this MUCH deeper than it is.
I am not easily offended. It's just very disappointing to be looking forward to watching one of my favorite knitting podcasters, and instead get criticized for my musical taste. (Not just criticized, but told that it says something negatively about me as a person). I come here to consume knitting content, and some gardening and life updates. This Taylor Swift stuff has zero to do with knitting.
Oh, and I made it all the way to the end and I'm definitely NOT a Swifty. I shouldn't have to be to enjoy a knitting podcast.
If this is what I have to look forward to, I'll be unsubscribing.
