It's always nice to look at your old model builds; they sometimes take you back to what was going on in your life at the time you built them (in my case some date back more than 25 years) and they are also a testament to how your building skills have grown over the years.
Some of these are new to us, so the walk through your past builds offers some surprises. Please keep doing this feature on the channel.
Thanks!!
Nice look at the truck models Matthew! You've come a long way in your abilities over the last few years. The thing I like is all of those models have stories behind them of your family, or a friend showed you how to do something, or something like that.
Thanks Steve!
I like seeing your builtup models. And your collection of unbuilts too. That 34 Ford pickup was originally an AMT kit released in like 1962. My older brother built one then. I built another in the late 60s when the kit 1st included the flatbed and dual rear wheels. That model needs some repair before I put it back out on display. AMT added some wider tires and wheels and deleted the dual rear tire option in the 80s. Then in the 90s, Lindberg came to own the tool and it has been one of their best sellers, in production most of the time. I'm building a Lindberg version right now, substantially modified. Jimmy Flintstone chopped cab. Revell 29 Roadster on 32 rails front suspension. Hotrod flathead from the Revell hotrod 40 coupe, that required modifying the floor pan for trans clearance. Kit buckets seats with the bases chopped getting Mexican Serape blanket upholstery from SRS (?) decals. Aluminum gas tank using ends from the AMT 32 sedan delivery Moon tank and a section of actual aluminum tube making it a 10 gallon scale tank under the back. Fenderless with the grille shell standing straight up like a 32. Bed replaced with a much smaller 25 T bed.
Wow! That sounds really cool
I have that MPC "Deserter" truck kit in my stash. You've given me an idea for it, when I finally biild it. 😎👍
👍🏻👍🏻
Love the 40 Ford and the story behind it. So cool you used the tailgate from the old one.
Being new to the community it was really nice to see your past builds. You do some amazing work. I'm still using rattle cans myself dabbling into the airbrush. As far as the fallguy square body. I could be wrong but those trucks had miles of room under the hood. The small block looks tiny under the hood because they are on the 1:1 truck.
👍🏻👍🏻
A small block in a square body GM always looked small. Did you ever see a straight 6 in one of those ?? Lol, damn ! Those things have large engine bays
👍🏻👍🏻
Outstanding builds Matt!!! Great weathering job on the pick-ups. Heather did an awesome job on her Pick-up. Thanks for sharing. You have good video content and a terriffic family.
Thanks Chris!
Nice looking builds. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael!
Love the builds you and your family has done(my wife wants nothing to do with it lol), you need a "Love me wall". Keep it up sir, btw love the little green truck, one of my favs you have done.
Thanks!
Fun video Matthew! I really like the insights with each kit you show! Your old builds still look better than the junk I build! LOL!
Don't short yourself!!

Thanks Tim!
Thanks for sharing another shelf with us Matthew! Very nice builds. 👍👍
Thanks Tom!
The 40 Ford turned out great! I'm building the same kit. The doors and hinges are very tricky. Wish they would reissue and update the molds.
Thanks for sharing. I think I'm going to put a resin Nailhead Buick in it. Call it "Bu-ford"
👍🏻👍🏻😁
Doesn't matter what it looks like to others all that matters is how it look to you nice builds
