One curiosity about 🇻🇪 is the liking for some german style tastes: 4:30 Malta (maltzgetränke), made locally, we probably have a higher per capita consumption than Germany itself as it is highly popular as a street drink and normally comsumed by both children and adults. We drink as a cold drink. I have tried original german maltzgetränke and I like more ours, it tastes a bit different. Salsa Tartara, (tartar sauce), made locally, highly popular in street food also. There is also the name salsa alemana (german sauce). Polish style sausages, made locally, very popular for hot dog making. Münster cheese, made locally, it arrives via the US during the XX Century but originally from SW germany, now french territory. Not known in the rest of South America as far as I know. We probably have one of the highest per capitas in the world; Also imported dutch "ball" cheese is popular too. Beer drinking, in the past we had probably one of the greater per capitas in South America and among the top in the world, although it has probably declined a lot in recent years; But on the other hand there is now a growing handcraft beer trend, commercial beers and big local brands dont have the full monopoly as they used to, there is more variety in the offer. Very curious tastes for a tropical south american country, maybe it has to do with a 0.0000000000001% dna from "Klein Venedig" times 😄👍 firsts central europeans to set foot in South America early XVI Century, that is while the portuguese were still exploring what soon later became Brasil and the spanish just arriving to both Cuzco and the River Plate estuary. Such gastronomical curiosities have never been researched, it's just a personal observation.
Love that you liked our food, and I'm very happy that you had a good experience in our country. Btw Empanadas are my favorite food, specially for breakfast or dinner, but a small note, those are not bananas that we put in the empanadas, those are plantains, they are family to the banana fruit but not the same. Also the sweet that you couldnt define in the golfeados is papelon. Papelon It is unrefined cane sugar made by boiling sugarcane juice until it solidifies its part of many desserts and even some hallaca recipes. I'm really glad that you had a good time, and thank you for visitng.
3:00 The sweet taste in the "golfeado", if they are making them with the traditional ingredients, should be something we call "papelon", it's the old way for making sugar cane sugar: after the sugar cane is pressed in a "trapiche" (a farm mill) the juices are then boiled in large bowls with firewood untill it reaches certain thickness, then it's poured into molds until it hardens up, the molds could be brick or conical shape, once ready you have "papelón" wich you can either scrape it or cut it in chunks and use it as raw sugar or make a drink, kind of a lemonade called "papelón con limón" (lime is used most of the time), "papelón" is used in various traditional recipes like golfeados. All venezuelans love golfeados 🤠👍
I love them as well :D Then it was probably Pabelón that made the taste of it that I couldn't identify because it is totally new for me! And I've tried Pebelón con Limón as well. It's delicious!!!
Beautiful video, Alina! Very well done. I'm glad you enjoyed Venezuelan food. I hope you can also try the hallaca, the typical Venezuelan Christmas dish, whose filling varies depending on the region of the country where it is made, the Venezuelan chicha, a refreshing non-alcoholic rice-based drink, the passion fruit shake, the authentic Venezuelan coffee, the pure chocolate bars made with Venezuelan cocoa, the polenta criolla, also made with corn-based dough, and Andean arepas, with wheat flour-based dough, among other typical Venezuelan dishes. Thank you very much for sharing this Venezuelan food tour!

@@aventuralina If you loved chicha, well you can have it anywhere in the world were there is rice, milk and sugar XD, thats the good thing about it, easy to make, sure there most be plenty youtube videos about it, but, there are 2 kinds of chicha in Venezuela, that sweet delicious chicha that is sold almost everywhere, and there is Chicha Andina, that is original from the state of Merida in venezuela wich is delicious but fermented and less sweet.

Hello Alina, it's nice to know that you liked visiting our country. While I was seeing how you enjoyed the golfeado, I noticed that you didn't know what the sweet ingredient was, that ingredient is "papelon" which is a food whose only ingredient It is the sugar cane juice that is dried before going through the purification process that turns it into sugar. It is widely used in various Venezuelan sweets and in cooking as well. Likewise, the classic golfeado comes with grated cheese, but that one you ate also looked great. HUGS!

I liked the video, it's so cool to be able to see people that show a different version of my country than the traditional media, Venezuela is more than corruption, criminals and poverty, it's a vibrant culture with thousands of traditions, amazing people and breath taking landscapes I hope you enjoyed your adventure and wish you the best of luck and if yo have a chance please visit the Gran Savana, Mérida and the Guacharo cave you will not regret it
It is so true that Venezuela is so much more than what the media transmits... I think for travellers it is important to know a few things about how it currently is to travel in Venezuela because there are some obstacles and it is a bit more complicated to travel there as in other countries. But the most important thing is that people learn about the beauty of the country and also the people that are the kindest and most welcoming I have ever meet. It is definitely worth to visit this unique and beautiful country 😍
Hello Alina, excellent, I like your channel, I thought it was a gastronomic channel, hahaha, I hope your followers increase. I was curious about your reason for going to Venezuela but apparently it was a challenge that you had to see with your own eyes what is happening in Venezuela. Thank you for promoting my country.
The reason why I went is because I saw photos of it a long time ago and got super curious because it looked insanely beautiful! I love to travel and to see unique places. It was finally time to go to Venezuela to see the Salto Ángel. That’s why I went. It was a dream for many years that came true this year 😍
Wow you really tried everything, not only the typical stuff. I really appreciate that, and seeing you enjoy the dishes I used to eat before I left Venezuela is heartwarming. Thank you for giving my country such an amazing opportunity
Platano in 🇻🇪 would be called "platano macho" in 🇪🇸. In "bodeguitas latinas" in Spain you can find "queso latino" it's like our white semi hard fresh cheese, you can buy it prepacked or cut by the kilo (slightly cheaper), it can also be fried on the grill too as we do often, also venezuelan malta (our maltzgetränke) 🤠👍 I think tequeños are made in Madrid now and suplying local shops, also chicha in tetrabrick format made in the Canary Islands. Venezuelan artisan cheeses are made I think by at least two small companies, one in Madrid linked to the tequeños set up, together with Polar. The otherone in northern Spain. Some of the info about existing companies or available products may need updating tough. Venezuelan snacks could be found in "bodeguitas latinas" too, cocosette or pirulin for example. Corn flour for arepas in nearly all supermarket chains, alcampo, carrefour, hipercor, etc
Great Video, you definitely enjoyed yourself making this one. I'm a Venezuelan currently living in Mexico City and people love our food here as well. I'm so proud of my roots ❤.... Subscribed for life.
In Venezuela we have many variants of what you might call banana. We do have regular bananas (that we call cambures) but we also have plantain (plátano) which is what you ate and what you would probably see all over our typical dishes. Empanadas, just like arepas can be baked or fried, the dough can be made with corn or wheat flour and can be fill with a long list of things, some more suitable than other depending of the type of dough and the cook process. What you find in a Golfeado is not cinnamon, it's papelón, which it's a sub produc of sugarcane, that why combined with the cheese makes it a different dish than a cinnamon roll. We have both over there but cinnamon rolls are relatively new compare with golfeados in our common culture. I LOVE COCADAAAAAAS, God, I miss them! * goes crazy * Malta (Different beer companies used to make their own Malta, Maltin Polar is the oldest, most popular and basically the only brand that's surviving socialism), is a beverage made with malted barley. We call it Malta (Malt), but is definitely not like German beverage people might know in Europe since ours is a sweet beverage and we always drink it cold. Cachapas are the best, with butter and queso de mano or queso telita and also with fried pork is a must have! My personal favorite along with something I will recommend you at the end of this long ass comment 😅 Our hamburgers, and hot dogs are very characteristic but not anyone will like them since each country have their own versions and people tend to prefer their own. Nutella or Arequipe filled donuts are a great dessert. Tequeños are a hell yeah, you can't never mist with those to be honest, they are the party favorites! Marquesas are delicious, but only for people who like sweet things and Arepas, well, it's just simply our basic best! It's always lovely to see someone say positive things related to my home country! Cheers, A. P.S As you may know, dishes can be national, regional, or national regionalized (Venezuela since is very diverse, we have a Natural Region division), so here are two of my favorite regional dishes: Chigüire (Capibara), pair it with white rice, black beans and yuca, that's a dish we eat in Los Llanos, I would recomend the city of Barinas. You can only find it around Semana Santa (Easter). Empanadas de cazón (shark), de camarones (shrimp), o de mariscos (seafood), those are empanadas you will find all along our Coast Region, I would recommend the city of Barcelona. You can find them all year long.

Good luck on your new channel, first fan ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! Welcome ti my Channel! I hope you keep enjoying my videos 😊
Thank alina to visit Venezuela and show our food god bless you
You're amazing! Thanks 🫶🏻👷🏻♂️🇻🇪
So are you 🫶🏼
Thanks for showing all the beauties and special things of my country in such a wonderful way!!!!!
Thank you for your kind words! 🥰
It was a dream for many years that came true this year 😍
Always your second home 🤠👍
Wow you really tried everything, not only the typical stuff. I really appreciate that, and seeing you enjoy the dishes I used to eat before I left Venezuela is heartwarming. Thank you for giving my country such an amazing opportunity
Of course I had to try it all 🤩 It was delicious! I just couldn’t stop eating 😅

Me dio hambre ver tanta comida jajaja.
Muchas gracias! Espero que pueda volver algún día!
Great video
Plátano = plantain
Cambur = banana
Thank you for clarifying this! 👍🏼
Platano in 🇻🇪 would be called "platano macho" in 🇪🇸.
In "bodeguitas latinas" in Spain you can find "queso latino" it's like our white semi hard fresh cheese, you can buy it prepacked or
cut by the kilo (slightly cheaper), it can also be fried on the grill too as we do often, also venezuelan malta (our maltzgetränke) 🤠👍 I think tequeños are made in Madrid now and suplying local shops, also chicha in tetrabrick format made in the Canary Islands.
That burger halfway through the video yummy, delicious
It was delicious 😋
Excelente hermosa Venezuela ❤
Great Video, you definitely enjoyed yourself making this one. I'm a Venezuelan currently living in Mexico City and people love our food here as well. I'm so proud of my roots ❤.... Subscribed for life.
You can be proud of this! There really wasn't anything that I didn't like! Venezuelan food is the best!!!
Gracias por mostrar mi pais
Very vell explained and all the names are correctly pronounced, also all your comments and rates about the food and drinks are so accurate. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you! I’m happy to read that 😍

Thank you Alina for show our contry at the people arount the world. Excelent Job!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really happy you like the video ☺️
Venezuelan food it's very tasty, here in Buenos Aires people love Tequeños so much, and some Argentinians they even cook their own arepas at home ❤
Just like me! I cook my own arepas at home and even make my own tequeños at home 😁
* goes crazy *
Malta (Different beer companies used to make their own Malta, Maltin Polar is the oldest, most popular and basically the only brand that's surviving socialism), is a beverage made with malted barley. We call it Malta (Malt), but is definitely not like German beverage people might know in Europe since ours is a sweet beverage and we always drink it cold.
Cachapas are the best, with butter and queso de mano or queso telita and also with fried pork is a must have! My personal favorite along with something I will recommend you at the end of this long ass comment 😅
Our hamburgers, and hot dogs are very characteristic but not anyone will like them since each country have their own versions and people tend to prefer their own.
Nutella or Arequipe filled donuts are a great dessert.
Tequeños are a hell yeah, you can't never mist with those to be honest, they are the party favorites!
Marquesas are delicious, but only for people who like sweet things
and Arepas, well, it's just simply our basic best!
It's always lovely to see someone say positive things related to my home country!
Cheers, A.
P.S As you may know, dishes can be national, regional, or national regionalized (Venezuela since is very diverse, we have a Natural Region division), so here are two of my favorite regional dishes:
Chigüire (Capibara), pair it with white rice, black beans and yuca, that's a dish we eat in Los Llanos, I would recomend the city of Barinas. You can only find it around Semana Santa (Easter).
Empanadas de cazón (shark), de camarones (shrimp), o de mariscos (seafood), those are empanadas you will find all along our Coast Region, I would recommend the city of Barcelona. You can find them all year long.
Wow, thanks a lot for this comment and all the explanations and clarification 🤩🤓
Saludos Alina bienvenidos a Venezuela.espero q la pases muy bien.te deseo muchos éxitos🇻🇪👏
Que amable eres! Muchas gracias por tus palabras! Me alegro mucho que te guste ☺️
Los golfeados de los Teques son inolvidables.......! :)

Hola Alina! bendiciones para tu canal. Saludos desde Venezuela...
Muchas gracias! Saludos desde españa!
Hello Alina. I want to say thanks visiting my beautiful country. Just letting you know El Golfeados its made it by sugar cane, thats why is very sweet and delicious. 😊
Hello! Thanks a lot for the clarification 🤓
@@aventuralina ❤ espero te haya gustado mi amado pueblo ☺
Me encantó!!! 😍
Bienvenida a Venezuela. 🍨🍩☕🥧🍰
Gracias!
Johnny
Mi estómago fue muy fuerte 💪🏼🤩
Los patacones si, los comí 😋 Solo olvidé grabarlo 🤦🏼♀️😅
8:32 There is one thing there is always on the spot punctuality in Venezuela, you never arrive late to a party, otherwise you miss the tequeños 😄👍tip: place yourself in the kitchen or close to it as they bring them out, quality control is neccesary too 😄
Trust me, I would never miss out any chance to have some tequeños :P
Bienvenida, amiga.
Y no te preocupes, nadie me tenía encerrada. Solo siempre como mucho en el camino 😅
Wow you literally went to places I visit everyday, I hope you liked Los Teques and San Antonio and our food❤❤
I loved the food there! I think the Cachapas were my favourites 😋
Hey! You got yourself a very informed guide. Those are the best golfiados of Venezuela. Tequeños are also from Los Teques 🙂
You made the exact same route I could've taken a common sunday a few years back when I was living there.
These Golfeados were amazing 🤩😋 And the recommendations from my guide the best 😁
Thanks for giving a try to all this dishes I hope you enjoyed them. The best of luck
I enjoyed every single dish! Venezuelan food is delicious 😋🤩

Empezase bien con una hamburguesa bien rellena. 😋👍
Thanks for the video and visit Venezuela ♥
Alina, I'm very happy for watching your vídeos. Thank you for having come to my beautiful country. Regardless of the place you visit in Venezuela, the food is really delicious. In the Andes, for example, you can eat a soup called pizca andina, which is made with milk, potatoes and corn, with cilantro and celery. Venezuelan food is rich in variety and flavors. Thank you for your sympathy and ease to explain your experience in Venezuela. And by the way, your eyes and smile are simply stunning!
Thanks a lot for your comment! I’m happy to read that you like my videos. And I put that soup on the list of reasons why I need to come back to Venezuela 🤩
Saludos
Gracias por tu comentario! Lamentablemente no quedó tiempo para ir a Merida aunque me hubiera gustado mucho!

Genial!
