Anthonie Tu sabe si el motor y transmission de Mazda CX-7 es Japanese o de American ford, te pregunto porque pronto voy a comprar el mismo carro..gracias
I check the alternator for 12.6 (or more) up to 13.8 volts, DC, at idle. I also check for AC volts, which can indicate a shorted diode inside the alternator. My Alternator was good on the DC test at the battery, but the AC read 29.9 Volts! That is BAD! The SHORTED DIODE that causes almost 30 volts of AC voltage will actually cause the battery to discharge when the engine is turned off, like, overnight! Please note that the Engine and accessories, are products of FOMOCO, aka Ford Motor Company, until 2014, so some bolts might be SAE sizes! Also, I check the idler pulley, to the right of the alternator, and the tensioner pully, for bad bearings, which can cause a whining sound. My serpentine belt was new, when I bought my CX-7, 3,000 miles ago. My idler pully looks pitted... I have spares, as I have three Ford trucks, which use some similar parts as are on the FoMoCo engine and accessories in the Mazda vehicles up through 2014.
Good video! I was hoping you showed how you put the belt back on. Was it difficult?
