That might have been the most frantic looking docking attempt that I have ever seen!
I think that the best part was when the captain took the coiled up bow line and then threw it over the side, promptly running it over!
Maybe he was hoping that Fred 🐊 was there and would grab the line and pull him to safety! 🤣

As an owner of a Speedster, I can tell you they have no neutral so you basically have to shut the motor down to keep it from moving. Then you have no steering because the jets are your steering. Makes for awesome docking videos in the old Speedsters.
Jet powered vessels can be a challenge for the uninitiated.
I always wondered why people were whiskey throttling it and now I know why: when they feel they are loosing steering they try to "get traction" and end up over throttling...but really interesting that some boats have basically no control in neutral.
Yeah its just a big jet ski. It needs throttle to turn, otherwise its just a barge.

Well, I had my version of a "chit show" here in Arizona today: brand new boat, second time out. Saw some wild donkeys and decided to get a close look. Then when I noticed how shallow I got, tried to get out of there and "ding"! Hit the prop! Yipes.

They sucked a rope into the drive unit. you can see the rope pulled tight against the rear right side of the boat when they were being towed back in.

If your question is real: they pull these behind the boats with people behind them, usually kids. Also, you can stop and anchor and layout on them. Basically they are floating towables.
LMFAO I just sold one of these and the first thing I told the new owner was stay away from the dock. This boat starts in gear neutral is still moving forward/ reverse takes a lot of practice to hold I place. Good luck.
