- The Hogwarts Legacy PLATINUM Is Dumb... In this video we go for the Hogwarts Legacy Platinum Trophy! The Hogwarts Legacy Platinum requies quite a lot of hours to obtain the platinum. Hogwarts Legacy platinum should of been obtained in February but sadly, 1 glitch pushed the Hogwarts Legacy Platinum out of my grasp for a few months. Hogwarts Legacy as a game is fantastic but the Platinum Trophy for Hogwarts Legacy is awful.

Congrats on the platinum, I felt empty when I got it. If the collectibles wasn't soul destroying enough, going to the map chamber 3 other times was the icing on the cake...

I managed to get 100% on this last night. Bit late to the party but I quite enjoyed finding the Revelio pages as I found new areas of Hogwarts. Not brought myself to do the additional map room runs though.
If you think your run was bad, I only had 10 “ collectibles” left to get and one of the moths didn’t spawn (for the frames) so I had to start over.
Congrats on the plat. I remember the wizard chess for OOTP, it was the only thing holding me up from the 100% on the 360 version. I ended up using a chess app and having it play a game as well as a mirror to show me the next move I should use in wizard chess.

For me, it was the Gobstones that prevented me from getting 100%. The chess I could do without help, but I just could never seem to win a Gobstones match.
Funny Easter egg I found in the hospital wing was a piece of parchment left by the nurse regarding the student that was hurt in quiddich. Basically it was a nothing injury, some notes were redacted, but the nurse surmised that the headmaster was just trying to ban quiddich. I think it's a nod to the real world reason.

They couldn’t add quidditch because the flying mechanics were the worst that I’ve ever played with! It can’t be that tricky to use the flying mechanics established in literally ANY other game that involves flying!
Gutted about the glitched trophy bro!! But looking at the gameplay I can't wait t play it!!

I recently got platinum in this game myself and going through the collectables was definitely a test of patience to say the least... I do hope they add a new game+ so that i can replay the game with all the spells, clothing, and slots/ancient magic meter upgrades without having to go through that again. Loved the game but i refuse to do all those collectables again...
Only a Gryfindor and Ravenclaw play through stopping me from getting this plat, id love to make a video on platinums in the future like u
Yeah the extra playthroughs are horrible
My gripe with the game are collectibles as well. Too many revelio pages to collect which are kinda pointless, it only gives you some info on the lore of the world but doesn't really give you anything. Its just something to do and complete. And the insane amount of Merlin Trials is so grindy.
I'd probably say my favourite Harry Potter movie is the Goblet of Fire. Really enjoyed it as a kid and reading the book was great too.

You like it because you first watched the movie and then read the book. Other way around just made me angry
Dead Island had a similar achievement where you had to play through Act 1 with all 4 characters. But you could also use the time to grab some easy collectables because the achievement was just for getting a certain number of collectables and they tracked over multiple playthroughs. Felt like I made a little more progress I suppose.
That achievement stopped me getting the 100% haha
I only heard the Hogsmeade line once (why do people bother to walk there in the first place?) but the floo flame lady was the absolute last straw for me.
This game wasn’t really a challenge( in my opinion) but it looked amazing. Hopefully they add wizard chess and quidditch in updates later on.

When was this recorded? Has there been a new update for Hogwarts Legacy? I've done all collections too but my game had a bug and the counter got stuck at 521/603 so now i can't get collector's edition or the platinum trophy 😭
Most was recorded in February, everything from getting all potions brewed was around the 10th of April onwards

This Platinum is a grind fest. The game does not tell you all it can. There are missing Trials or collectibles but you need to be close to them to see where they are

There’s barely any Hogwarts after 10 years. It becomes a generic countryside wizard RPG after that.

Honestly, I really enjoyed this game.
The DEI crap wasn’t needed, but it’s a solid game.
Music is amazing.
I do think ranrok needed to be used more. Like the kidnap plot isn’t explained too well and it feels like ranrok is very intelligent to a point he would have tried to get us to side with him by making us feel bad.
Rookwood was under used as well. Especially as a keeper’s decedent.
Most people are well written.
I hated the fact that I had to play the game 3 more times until I got to the map chamber with all houses I did it but I hated myself a little after lol

I platinumed this game like 1.5 months ago. When I played the game I learned crucio and imperio, but when it was time to learn avada kedavra my dumb arse selected the option that no one should learn it so I never used avada kedavra in the 60 hours I played hogwarts legacy for 😭

This was one of the most enjoyable platinums to obtain I loved getting all collectibles as I could explore Hogwarts even more the only bad thing was map chamber ones which killed it but this game was perfect for me

I think wizard chess isn't the game BECAUSE it was in OotP. They wanted to add things that weren't in previous games.
My first play through was as a Slytherin. Just have 3 partial playthroughs to go then the plat is mine
Just had 2 achievements break for me after the most recent patch. The Defender of Dragons and Flight the good Flight decided not to activate so I used some ‘ancient magic’ to force them into my Steam account ‘cause I wasn’t willing to try multiple times or wait for a patch-
Luckily, however, I got Merlin’s Beard (another infamously broken achievement), that one broken Bell Tower field guide page, and I believe all the butterflies worked as well, so just some very easy story achievements didn’t want to show up.
I’ve done 100% collection games before, but Hogwarts Legacy is definitely soul crushing. I like to do things as soon as feasibly possible in a game, which means I have literally everything except 11 collection chests and 3 infamous foes before the third trial. This game is painful to platinum.
[Spoiler] Also Niamh Fitzgerald was invisible in her map room portrait and I thought it was set up for a joke but then they talked as normal and I realized it was a bug lol
My Favorite is Probably 3 or 4 i think personally 4 just because the end with the Maze just Epic 😎🔥🔥
Wish they didn't cut stuff from the book for the maze though haha

I’m very close to ending my time with this game and have definitely enjoyed it, but I don’t think I have the will or frankly the time to go for the platinum. I’ve completed every main quest and am almost done with the side quests, and have done many misc trophies such as breeding every beast, battle arenas, etc. but I just can’t with all the 600 collectibles. Overall a solid 8/10 game to me though

Did a bit of research and there are 2 Olivander locations. Of course the one in Diagon Alley and another in Hogsmeade. The 'Wandmaker' runs the Hogsmeade one. Taken from the Harry Potter wiki haha

i had to replay this fucking game THREE TIMES 100% because of bugs. and clitches when it came to collectables. i have never in my life experienced such an DRAG of a platinum in my entire fucking LIFE.

Idk why yall say its soul draining, im enjoying my platnium journey the merlin trails was easy but hella time consuming, and i have 5 trophies left, and for that collector edition trophy now that its fully fixed i have 280 something collectibles left, i just go thru the shit snjoying it with no rushing involved if i get stuck on sum imma watch a video on how to do it simple as that. Should have it within the next few weeka

The Merlin Trials were what did me in. 95 was completely unnecessary. It was the same complaint I had with the Ghost of Tsushima, the game was a masterpiece but once I did all the map garbage my opinion of the game soured a little.

Just finished the collections. I need to reach the chamber 3 more times 😪 It’s reached the point where the platinum is so bad it’s changed my opinion on the game. The devs took the piss, this is one the worst trophy list of all time. Can’t wait to delete this game off my PlayStation

Gonna be completly honest after escaping from Gringotts, the moment you see Hogwarts for the first time in the moonlight and all........... I cried so hard 😭 I sat in front of my pc and cried for ten minutes. The feeling of finally coming home was so overwhelming 😭❤💖

Honestly this game was really mid. I just got the platinum trophy and i felt that i only went for it because i spent $100 on it. The story was boring and the combat was meh. I could not give a flying F about the character stories. I felt like everyone was just going to start crying for no reason and start talking about their feelings

It does, if you kill a teacher/student with avada cadavra, you could get sent to Azkaban
using avada kadavra in HOGWARTS like in the actual castle on teachers a few times, will get you into azkaban btw lmao you can see everyones trying to take you and then when you get caught youll be w a prisoner.

Overrated game
IMO this game was not good, the only thing I really liked were going to the classes and learning new spells, other then that rest of the game is pretty boring.
I also hate the point A to point B missions
