As an mouse using osu player, I really liked the idea. Sure, much engineering is needed to craft something like that but even imagining it feels good on my hands.
Would likely need an XY axis with the repelling + 'locking' magnets underneath the surface. Would not be cheap, but would be neat. Alternatively, an 'air hockey' mouse might accomplish similar.
I remember in college, in the mathematics computer lab, we had sun workstations. This was the mid-90s. They had optical mice. They required a special mouse pad, and they always worked the same: poorly. It was worth it, however, because the math lab had a program called NCSA mosaic, which allowed you to access this new thing called the web that was like gopher with pictures.
If you missed it he Just released a new version of this mouse mod (sold out) I really like this mouse. It's quite good for aiming after you get used to it. MKy only gripe (besides the lack of side buttons) would be the scroll wheel height compared to the main button locations.
It(zero mouse) will probably come out with support of the new Viper v3 pro, the new pcb of that mouse is suuuuper small and will be perfect for such a project.
9:12 I have the optimum tech zeromouse, and it's still an issue with the real thing. The mouse doesn't function properly when charging it, so I swap to my beast X mini in the mean time. However sometimes even when using another mouse while the zeromouse is charging, it messes with my computer in scary way.
if it's unplugging and replugging its probably just that you've not tightened down the screws under the clicks enough so the cable won't go all the way in. this should also fix the clicks being hard/unusable while plugged in issue.
This thing is great if you can't get hold of an ULX, or if you want to support Optimum. Otherise, the few gram difference isn't worth it imo as a palm grip.
Watch Optimum tech, he’s the guy that engineered this mouse. It’s not a mouse for the general public. It’s an enthusiast mouse for gamers who want to aim with your eye without being limited to the mouse itself.
The Zeromouse is still too heavy. Weight reduction not nearly optimized enough. You can get it MUCH lighter by removing unnecessary material from the buttons and skeletonizing any solid surfaces, as well as the scroll wheel.
I have the zeromouse but im going to sell the kit again. Its cool and it worked but i figured out the hard way that light mice arent really my thing😅 i prefer extra heavy mice...
It's always interesting to me since I can't stand a light mouse. If it doesn't have weights you can add I wont use it. Before modern gaming mice were common I would open units and glue in chunks of steel. I can't be the only one ...
I'm on the younger side(20) so I was always used to cheaper mice that were lighter. When I used a heavier gaming mouse it didn't feel right and for my own first gaming pc I got a cooler master mm710 and it just felt so natural even though my hands were to big to rest my palm on the mouse. Currently using a xtrfy mz1 and it solidified my love for light weight mice and using fingertip grip. Tho to each their own and all preferences are valid to me
Someone steal my idea, a mouse and mousepad with repelling magnets that make the mouse hover over the mousepad therefore giving it zero friction

Won't work

That would be damn near impossible to stop the mouse
razer mcfly lmfao

One of Kyler’s best videos! Watched the full thing, definitely want a follow-up if he gets his hands on the genuine article.

8:20 I loved Dirty Bomb but forgot it existed

he used the v2 because of its tested and well made sensor, its fluid as hell. the new one is like a beta version of new gen viper, the og is king
@@creamsdestinedfuture Plus, Optimum is now working on a whole mouse rather than swapping the guts from a V2.
@@Space_Naught nah he took it from the Zaunkoenig m2k which has a super small pcb
@@JensonTM oh I did not know that, sounds pretty good then!
Hope its still wireless…

I thought Dirty Bomb is dead
Tell Kyler to join us in Misubie
Accidentally ate all the screws... sorry
DIRTY BOMB MENTIONED RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
This is a certified tech moment
Mice don't like cheese. They prefer grains, fruits and seeds and even chocolate over cheese.
DAMN havent heard of dirty bomb in years
so did you get the v35? i got it, more refined then the old one. and i can tell by the negatives of the old that the new shell is sturdy and goold
This is cool and I enjoyed it, but I like my mouse to be thick with a lot of butt meat for my big hand to grip on.
I have the optimum one and it's so amazing

I will do nothing for every like that this comment gets
6th
Then I just don’t like, like what the fuck why are people liking this shit. It isn’t funny. It isn’t unique. It’s just like farming
You need to do nothing 24 times now
Oh you’re in congress
Aight no breathing no nothing for 56 seconds moments days hours
Another excellent video, Kyler!
My dad says hello back, btw
i mean the zaunkoenig m3k is 24 grams and it's more than just a 3d printed shell
Wired vs wireless
Hi Kyler
That price is wild, this isn’t 420
I have my doubts...
With that pricetag, this has to be a troll !!
Cute 28 grams. My mouse is 140 grams
Incoherent rambling in support of Kyler's video hosting! Generic positive comment for the UA-cam algorithm.
Yes you don't even need an entire keyboard to type, remove the plastic membrane set on your table and you're done. No more plastic buttons.
Do you have to ise razer's terrible software for the zero mouse or this free version?
He's the goat!
dude how did you play dirty bomb? I thought they took the servers down years ago
If you call this a mouse I can make one even lighter...

Please do! When you are finished, post your design on a couple mouse subreddits
The Zeromouse is still too heavy.

You can get it MUCH lighter by removing unnecessary material from the buttons and skeletonizing any solid surfaces, as well as the scroll wheel.
Probably can remove any excess weight by using a smaller pcb board
I have the zeromouse but im going to sell the kit again. Its cool and it worked but i figured out the hard way that light mice arent really my thing😅 i prefer extra heavy mice...
lmk if ur still looking to sell it
That not a mouse it’s a half baked rehash
my mouse is 68 grams which is still really light
That’s like light for a mouse, this is light for a light mouse. There are ones that are 40 g which are light mouses
Not worth the price of admissions tbh. Ill just print my own lol
PLEASE GIVE ME A HEART. I WILL LOVE IT

😂, I love weird tech. I daily drive a Logitech Trackman trackball. They don’t even make them anymore. 😂

Not as crazy as you
it looks to me like I could snap it from looking at it funny. I don't like that.
