Absolutely love my Black iPhone 7 Plus. I’ve had it since December 2016 and currently running iOS 12 Public Beta 4 and battery is still at 96%, performance feels the same as it did when I got it. I’ve always upgraded to the new iPhone every year but the 7 Plus is the first time I’ve had an iPhone I liked so much design wise, looks wise, performance wise, and the fact that it’s held up so well is a testament to a mature product that I simply don’t feel the need to upgrade at this point. I’ve used many friend’s iPhone X and while I love the screen and some of the features, it basically operates exactly like any other iPhone (which is a good thing), but simply means I am perfectly happy with my 7 Plus.
Vermd008 the iPhone X screen was small to me vs iPhone 6 , 7 Plus 8 plus. When you view a video you have the notch which I didn’t like . If you want to unlock the phone you have to you your face vs fingerprint I didn’t like . The battery wasn’t as good as the 8 plus, the keyboard was smaller harder to type for me. And it is not worth 1,000 dollars.

I've had mine since release and I opted for the matte black and this is by far my favorite iPhone I've ever used. I'm close to upgrade and I'm not even thinking about it. My phone isn't scratched (I've had the apple silicone cases on mostly, and a screen protector) and the battery is still going strong and getting me through the day (unless I'm crazy heavy on Snapchat or FaceTime).
Na it most likely is just the software your running. The more recent update your on the smoother. And putting your phone on low power mode makes your phone become slower
Honestly if you buy a good case and aren’t rough with it you won’t get dents and scratches as bad as that. I’m guessing you weren’t using a case soooo that’s why they make cases 🙄
I used an Apple branded leather case the whole time and polished and cleaned this often the 7 plus jet black is prone to scratches Apple states it themselves on the website
Im rocking a jet black 7 plus too and it's my favorite iphone ive ever had. The only downfall for me is the battery started to deteriorate. I love this phone so much and have no real reason to upgrade anytime soon which is weird coming from me as I'm typically always eager to update.

Nick! I have a serious question. So I recently purchased the iphone 7 plus and I love it and all. But the thing is, is that it creaks. When you tap the screen it makes a clicking and creaking noise and does the same when i turn it. I returned it 5 times and its the same everytime. I went on a forum on mac rumors and it seems that apple openly admitted that it creeks. Does the 8 plus seem more durable in that sense?
