X looks like a good phone , but .........
7 plus has a wider screen which is nicer for typing and big handed dudes ,
Is also nicer for viewing content in landscape mode as you dont lose ceiling ,
The 7plus has a metal back which i prefer ,
The 7 plus has a finger print sensor and a home button .
I would stick with the 7 plus or go the 8 plus if i had to upgrade.

I love my Iphone X. Was it expensive... sure, but you pay 800-1000 for most smartphones anyways. It’s not really a big deal. I’ve used android and it definitely offers more, however I’ve always gone back to Iphone due to its organized and clean operating system. Love Apples solid customer service as well. Just my opinion.

Yes you should totally upgrade. I bought the X and sold my 7 and it was totally worth it. I can‘t get enough of it. I even like watching videos on it more than on my iPad Pro 10.5

Hey JSL, I really made my choice before the 10 came out. I had an iPhone 6, which was working but was out of warranty. So, since I was due for an upgrade this year I went to the 7 Plus from the 6 because it's trusted tech and design. and the cheaper upgrade. I wasn't ready to part with touch ID yet, and I had my reservations about the 8, and X. I think this will be a good chance to let apple perfect the new tech with another generation or 2, and then decide then. I'm not a really heavy user when it comes to a phone. Mainly just daily living tasks here such as apple pay texting phone calls some video / photos, using services like UBER, etc. So none of those needed the top line latest device. Great video.
haha you're not alone man, the 7 plus is still an extremely capable and quality phone. And you're right, Apple will work out the kinks with the next 2 iterations or so!
I purchased my first iPhone 7plus this yr . And I’m really happy with it. So I’ll have till end of 2018 for my contract to end. I’m impressed with the new iPhone 10. I’m looking forward to the next release in 2018. Good review on the iPhone 10. 👍😊

Diana i wouldnt upgrade JUST YET, I went from the 7 to the X because i cracked the screen, so i decided to get the X, especially the oled (i had the s7 before the 7) so its awesome... also, we need better softwear optimization and game support

make sure you have "background app refresh" off, make sure no apps have location settings on ALWAYS, dim your display (don't make it super bright for no reason) - you can learn how to do all these things on UA-cam! Hope this helps!

I had a 7 plus in jet black which I had upgraded to ios 11 and deeply ended up regretting it. So then I sold it and now I regret that as well. Now I'm trying to decide between the x and the 7 plus but as only if I can find it with ios 10.3.3 for that amazing two day battery life
I think the price of the iphoneX is not quite worth it as iphoneX plus gonna be out next year. It will be more worth it to keep the iphone 7 plus till that time.

I'm sticking to my 7+. It's still a beast! Don't care about notch. If u want, X, go for it. Coz I'm sure, in 19-2020, it's going to be a full glass display (no more notch) as what CEO of Apple said.
I was a 7 plus owner and I switch to the x , I have noticed just two differences the first is the screen revolution in the x with mind blowing colors and the second the is the low light camera shot specially in the portrait mode
Well done and I can understand why you like the X.. But...I think you missed actually acknowledging that the iPhone 7 plus has a larger screen ---more surface area... The
IPhone X has almost the same size viewing area as the iPhone 8 when watching media .
One other area which is BIG ... If you crack the back of your iPhone X it cost $549 to repair it... Which is crazy... I think the 7+ or the 8+ is a better deal for most people..

The X has 99.3% of the screen area of the Plus. Very little difference for the X’s dramatically smaller form factor.
When viewing media it depends on the aspect ratio of the content. In 2:1 aspect ratio the X has no penalty. Widescreen media will only become more common as Apple and Samsung have both gone to the widescreen ~19:1 aspect ratio.
Actually the 7 plus has a screen size of 5.5 and the x has 5.8
Mirela Stavar the diagonal is longer for the X but due to its 18.5:9 aspect ratio, the X actually has a smaller display are than the 8 Plus. If you look at both displays, you will suddenly know that the 8 Plus has a much larger display.
jonah travisano 7 Plus is a better deal for most people, because 8 plus is glass sandwich too, which is only a couple hundred bucks cheaper to fix the glass but still expensive.

Me personally I say hell yes it’s worth the upgrade but the price tag I would say hell no,I honestly think that it is not worth 1000$, it definitely needs to drop at the most 200$, however regardless of the price it will not disappoint most people
4:33 BlackBerry 10 phones like the Z10 and Q10 used a completely gesture based interface. No home button whatsoever. Nokia’s MeeGo on the N9, while short lived, also relied on a full gesture based UI. Apple is probably the first highly mainstream smartphone company to go fully gesture based, but saying that it’s never been done before is blatantly inaccurate.
The iPhone X is the future of all smart phones, of course it’s worth the money to upgrade. I love mine and honestly can’t find anything wrong with it even if I tried. Apple made improvement all the way around.

Chris Manion too expensive.... it should have been worth 850 or at least 900, the X seems too expensive especially when its still ios... i have the X, really hoping ios 12 brings more, given the X is an awesome phone, and i get why its more expensive (samsung charges them so much for the oled display)

ProGamer bingo. The oled screen has too much of a warm hue on it unlike the cool temp on the lcd versions. The screen feels smaller to the plus versions. The face id is not accurate, and the speakers are not as loud as the 8 plus lmao. Def beta model
Everybody has a bad top speaker! Check at google iphone x crackling speaker, I’ve tried so many phones and all or them has this problem, seriously.
First - great comparison! Second - I am an Apple fanboy. I upgraded from the 7 Plus to the X and I have no regrets. The 7 Plus was a great iPhone, but the X is the future of where the iPhone is headed. I have been using it since December and wouldn’t go back. Face ID works perfectly for me. The X can be easily used in one hand. Display is gorgeous and you will forget the notch after about a week. Performance and speakers are amazing! Worth the upgrade for me personally.
I bought my 7 plus last year December 2016 and I upgraded to the X when it released. Long story short I returned the X and I'm happily commenting on my Note 8! ;P

I love Apple but they need to sort out their exchange rate in the UK. A Pixel 2xl 128gb costs $874 in the US and £799 in the UK. The iPhone X starts at $999 in the US and £999 in the UK. Why the difference in exchange rates?

Une Perceuse Yes, at todays exchange rate the £1 is worth $1.35. This makes $999 worth £740. Add on 20% for VAT and this makes £888. We are paying £111 too much in the UK. Apple seriously needs to look at its market exchange rates.

Actually there is a setting in the phone that you can add a home screen button. It works pretty good as well. Don’t have my phone with me to explain how to get to it but just UA-cam it.

good question man! I've updated and haven't experienced lag or battery problems with my iphone X - I saw that they just made another update to iOS 11 so I would read up on it to see if they worked out most of the bugs. hope this helps! thanks for watching!

As long as you don’t have a crap battery , which anyway your phone will shut down on iOS 10 , then your good .

All main important smartphone are for making a call and cameraing. The small screen 480 pix is more than enough. 720pix is beyond the small screen can display. Stick with iPhone classic.

I had both the 7plus and the X I gave my girl the X and I kept the 7 plus they are both great phones just depends on you and which you prefer. It doesn’t matter to me as long as I have a big screen big battery and quick response time I’m happy

I just had an unplanned upgrade from a regular 7. The only thing I never liked about that one was the smaller screen. So 7+ 8+ or X. The Xs are on sale most places right now so it was less than the 8+ and even the 7+ they only had in larger storage and red. Bleahhh. The X is really good except it's super slippery and the new glass bastards run hot. Really hot. The screen is dimming and performance throttled much faster than previous models. Who would have thought encasing electronics in glass and a vinyl sheet (how they color the new ones) wouldn't work as well as aluminum. But hey no need to lift that big heavy lightning connector anymore. Overall it's good fine whatever. Is it worth switching from a perfectly good 7+. Absolutely not. And the same drawbacks with the 8s. To each their own but personally I wouldn't unless you have to.

I had to work so much to have my iPhone X specially because I live in a bad country for who wants to buy good things, but the main thing that made me buy this is the gesture UI, I always dreamed to use a gesture only smartphone since I had noticed the creation and fall of Ubuntu phone. After only 1 week this phone I already know the future is user interface based on gestures !

If the phone opened after unlocking with Face ID, you’d not be able to read your notifications, check the time, or use the flashlight toggle. That would really annoy me.
I thought 💭 I would not like the X because of the size and the none button.
But that got adjusted so fast and naturally that I never thought about it until I went back to the seven and forget it. ( once you go X you never go back !)

What i want to know is how well the assistive touch works? because I use that very frequently. Like does it still have the home button option when you click on it? and like how much of it changes? Bc assistive touch is A HUGE thing for me when it comes to upgrading to the X

The x is slow when it comes to Face ID, which can take twice, yes twice the time to unlock, which is ridiculous. The phone’s very much an unready prototype.
