It’s been such an incredible privilege to be invited into their lives and I’m so proud to see how far the twins have come in just a year! NICU babies are resilient 💕 lots of love to Colleen for making a strong community that supports mamas, parents, babies, and families of all kinds!!
My sister in law taught her son sign language, and he would use that instead of talking. It got to the point where she had to go to the doctor to see why he wasn't speaking on track like children his age, (after a bunch of tests) the Doctor said it was because she was signing to him. He said a lot of parents that see him taught their children (that are not deaf) to sign as well, and they all had similar problems. He said if you really want to teach them to sign, 4 years old is the best age because they have the basic knowledge of speech and won't choose to substitute speaking for signing. She really struggled with getting him to talk again, and wish she knew the repercussions of teaching her son (who was not deaf) sign language when he was a baby. Sharing this story to help others 🙏🏿❤.

One thing that really helped my daughter with sleeping through the night was putting her in her own room. When she was in our room she would wake up and see us and cry until we picked her up. When she went to her own room she realized we weren’t in there so she would cry for a couple seconds then fall back asleep. Also allow them to cry it out. It is so hard but every day the crying will get shorter and eventually they will realize they aren’t going to get held and rocked every time they cry. My daughter is just is just a couple months older then the twins and she was also a nicu baby.

Colleen is kind of an amazing person and just put on a childhood cancer fundraiser that reached 145k ish and still growing. She has a fandom behind her and many people who support the talent she has. She uses the platforms very well for herself and her family. This is 100% a job.

And more important, the person in front of the camera, what she is doing, it takes creativity, practice and it takes TIME. Try doing videos like this or any kind and post it on YT and see in how much time you get the millions of subscribers and the views she has.
All babies really are different. My baby cousin is already 1 and still isn't really walking. He's barely crawling. My older brother didn't start walking till he was 2 in a half. I have worked with babies before too and have seen a baby as young as 5 months walking. So yes I do agree that all babies are different.
Went back to watch Flynn's one year update video and thought it was so crazy how the first update you had about him was that he had 8 teeth (like Wes!!!) There were some other cute similarities, like Flynn and Maisy's dancing.💜

One thing that really helped my daughter with sleeping through the night was putting her in her own room. When she was in our room she would wake up and see us and cry until we picked her up. When she went to her own room she realized we weren’t in there so she would cry for a couple seconds then fall back asleep. Also allow them to cry it out. It is so hard but every day the crying will get shorter and eventually they will realize they aren’t going to get held and rocked every time they cry. My daughter is just is just a couple months older then the twins and she was also a nicu baby.
I've heard conflicting things on the "cry it out" method. Everyone says something different so it's very confusing.

She also does live performances/ has major tours including shows Canada, is an incredible theater performer (including being on broadway for numerous plays in NYC), has a Netflix show, has her other “known” Miranda Sings character that she has built for YEARS and also UA-cam. I’m having a hard time understanding how you don’t think she has a “legitimate job”. Colleen is kind of an amazing person and just put on a childhood cancer fundraiser that reached 145k ish and still growing. She has a fandom behind her and many people who support the talent she has. She uses the platforms very well for herself and her family. This is 100% a job.

But Vlogging is also a job. Being a YT video/content creator is a job. The video doesn’t get planned, record, edit and upload itself, it’s not the same as just “existing”. And more important, the person in front of the camera, what she is doing, it takes creativity, practice and it takes TIME.
Try doing videos like this or any kind and post it on YT and see in how much time you get the millions of subscribers and the views she has.

All babies really are different. My baby cousin is already 1 and still isn't really walking. He's barely crawling. My older brother didn't start walking till he was 2 in a half. I have worked with babies before too and have seen a baby as young as 5 months walking. So yes I do agree that all babies are different.

Went back to watch Flynn's one year update video and thought it was so crazy how the first update you had about him was that he had 8 teeth (like Wes!!!) There were some other cute similarities, like Flynn and Maisy's dancing.💜
