Those vertical bladed propellers are subjected to a reversal stress every turn and I just wonder how long will it be before metal fatigue take its toll on them. Too many moving parts I would say, but they are excellent while they last.
Does anyone know how the front set of voith propeller blades don't create all kinds of drag issues , like how's that work cause obviously they have worked that out and I'm curious to know how they got around that?
