Marty “Wish you were here” was the only vocal performance by Marty in the show. You could actually hear his voice, it was his best, it was a complete touchdown!
Mig Ayesa Deserved To be in the Inxs after That performance of “Live and Let Die” It Gave me Goosebumps the first time I watched This and still do 13yrs later and The audience Loved Him and so Did I!!! ❤️❤️
JD really did understand the competition and INXS ‘s role better. If one can impersonate EP efficiently, they’ve got vocal range. JD’s just the total package, especially to fill the spot he did. He had the style, range, listened to what they hinted at, vocal style and image that matched the band. Some of the rest were oblivious to that and seemed to think they were auditioning to and for any band, instead of INXS. While all tremendous talents on their own and would do great with their own bands, instead of heading INXS. More band shows would be great instead shows like AI that kills ppl before they start. As many RnR singers (Dave G) for one, says that many of them, including himself would have never made it on there. So, writing and playing/singing your own does go along ways, and there’s always a fan base for everyone out there. With the internet, ppl can get it out there. Bc even the big names have to tour now to make bank bc the ppl like DG, the greedy opportunists infiltrated the recording industry and destroyed it. Hence why many thought it would go down with digital. But I don’t agree with stealing from the artist’s work, as they pour their heart and soul into it and should be compensated. On the flip side I think ppl like L of MTA, are snots, etc. If it weren’t for the fans, he wouldn’t have anyone to play too. Many forget that.
some writers are wankers when someone doesn't sing their songs just like they intended....the reason you have a lead singer is because you like how they work the song you wrote....fucking hell.
@@highonimmi that doesnt neccesarily make them wankers. Keep in mind jordis had no input on lyrics or any creating, she just had to sing it. Also its a beautiful song about moving on after practically losing there family, give em a break!
They have to bring this show back. I understand that back on the second season of Rockstar, Van Halen was thinking about finding a new singer with this show. Just think, Linkin Park could have hosted a season. BRING ROCKSTAR BACK.
It was pretty obvious after this that they wantedJD all along. So bad that they always cut him slack and turned things around to praise him for being a big DB. He did sound similar to Michael Hutchence so that's probably why they wanted him. Jordis was my favorite from the very beginning. Didn't buy the new inxs stuff after this show. Highly disappointed.
+Kris Torres Completely agree, I watched this show as it was airing. I didn't watch Supernova until a couple weeks ago. They did the same thing there. They knew who they wanted from the beginning and in both cases they picked the douchebags. I fucking HATED JD when this show aired. Still can't stand the attitude he showed.

I remember at the beginning I could not stand Suzie and wanted her to get voted off way early. 3-4 weeks in, I kind of started to like her and She was really growing. To now, I really like her and She has been killing it. I am not saying I think She should win, as far as the right fit for them, but that isn't taking anything away from how good She is. I wonder if they as a band ever really considered a woman to replace MH. That is a tough one. Maybe on new music they created it would be fine, but to do the old stuff, would that work and or would people accept it.
Well, you can’t say that JD didn’t warn them about just how erratic and unreliable he could be despite his skills. He might be wordy…..👀…(smart arse) and hugely talented but unfortunately he is his own worst enemy in the end. I wonder if he realised at the time just how revealing this whole series was….
that was one of Suzie's WORST performances, if you really know the song you can here all of the mistakes that she makes... I don't know what song INXS and Dave heard but they were way off praising her... they're bias because they like Suzie
Blake K Susie was the weakest Performance of the night. Everyone came in with big booming vocals, emotional power and better timing and tune. Susie was off pitch, off key and had poor timing for almost the entire song. She ended the song well so everyone over looked her overall weak performance. From the beginning she makes mistakes throughout the song up until 38:16 of the Video. Then she does Okay
Until I saw the timestamp you mentioned, I thought you had gotten Suzie and Jordis mixed up. Interesting that you think you’re a better judge than INXS and Dave Navarro.
20 years later and Jordis still rocks my world to the core. I just love her.

JDs arrangement of You Can't Always Get What You Want was infinitely better than Tys. Ty is the better vocalist, but this is why JD won.
