"good campaign" LoL no. Mainstream corridor shooters with hand holding everywhere don't have good single-player campaigns. Just have that ingrained in your brain. They're very basic, lack any traces of deeper gameplay and generally serve as a tutorial for new players to learn the basics like movement &controls...with a mediocre story tacked on.
Oddly enough, I remember talking to a former Marine who worked with mortarmen. He said the whole mortar kit, with tube and ammo and other equipment, weighed well over a hundred and thirty pounds. Mortarmen had to lumber to their positions, bent over, hands on their knees, just so the weight wouldn't pull them on their backs. I wonder what they'd think seeing this dude sprinting with a mortar tube as if it were a PVC pipe.
This mission is my favorite mainly because of everything between 1:09 and 2:10. Charging down a hill WW1 style, the battle screams, the gunfire sounds, the sight of a massive city in complete chaos before you. Amazing
As someone who has visited Tehran the landscape (except that it was snowing when I was there so the city was white) is pretty accurate portrayal of what Tehran looks like props to battlefield 3 , I thought they'd portray it as one of those backward Arab nations in a desert which it definitely is not.

See the thing is, in terms of graphical fidelity, games today look much better. But the reason BF3 still stands up today is because of the lighting. People always want to push pixel count to get better graphics but the reality is that the next step forward will be lighting changes.

Till this day I cannot believe how impressive BF3 was for it’s time. This technically was the game that got me into the franchise. I know there’s always a debate between BF & COD and each have their own strengths. But this game had a way of immersing you in the battlefield with all of the effects and details. The coloring/blurring, echoed gunfire and screams, eirie and frightening music, ect.. Growing up with both franchises I appreciated them both, but found that although call of duty had awesome storylines and many fun mission, they couldn’t pull something like this off. BF made me feel like I was in an IMAX theater.
The real question is, how in the hell could they pass through all those defense lines and mountainous trains to reach and attack one of the biggest and the most defended city in Iran. Remember, it's not Baghdad, it's Tehran, and the reason it became the capital in the first place, was that it was surrounded by mountains, basically a natural fortress.

SF general from syria recommended the U.S troops to be pulled or atleast leave behind a residual force to maintain survaillance to military strategists. Depends of what type of mortar it is. The weights differ if it’s a 60mm mortar or an 81mm mortar. Speaking as a current 11C Mortarman 🇺🇸

Till this day I cannot believe how impressive BF3 was for it’s time. This technically was the game that got me into the franchise.
I know there’s always a debate between BF & COD and each have their own strengths. But this game had a way of immersing you in the battlefield with all of the effects and details. The coloring/blurring, echoed gunfire and screams, eirie and frightening music, ect..
Growing up with both franchises I appreciated them both, but found that although call of duty had awesome storylines and many fun mission, they couldn’t pull something like this off. BF made me feel like I was in an IMAX theater.
Every Neo-Con was creaming his pants with this campaign.

The real question is, how in the hell could they pass through all those defense lines and mountainous trains to reach and attack one of the biggest and the most defended city in Iran. Remember, it's not Baghdad, it's Tehran, and the reason it became the capital in the first place, was that it was surrounded by mountains, basically a natural fortress.

@@greenskydiver427 either the risk was too great or too small, risking lives isnt on the presidents agenda. Even if its his call or not. SF general from syria recommended the U.S troops to be pulled or atleast leave behind a residual force to maintain survaillance to military strategists. I'm honestly for it because when i was in the Marines, we needed more training on certain aspects we needed to save ourselves and others on the battlefield.

Bro this is straight out the best game ever. You really get the feels for the character and the situation. It's realistic on an arcade level. I love it so much I hope DICE and EA make more games like this in the battlefield franchise

The best and only candidate is Iraq as it is currently the only country to border Iran with a flat terrain, but since the Iraqi parliament voted to kick out US troops...
Which is why the current US would not invade Iran. No one is going to lose here because a war is not going to happen.
