I uploaded the video of my pond, now the water is starting to be clean because the lamp is working. Aniway, during the night the temp is still cold like winter, so I'm going to cover it with a short heated greenhouse to mantain the pond heated

Hi Alessandro, I saw your pond video. It’s really nice! Make sure it is deep enough so that the ground can regulate the temperature too. I think the greenhouse is a great idea! Cheers 🍻

@@TheFishBeast at the beginning the pond would have been 70cm deep but for an error during the building it became 55cm deep but I think is deep enough (my pacu will be something like 60cm in lenght and maybe 35cm in height, so, he still have the space to swim). Aniway, for now the pond is that, but maybe I will do another pond in 3-5 years without committing the same errors.

Hey fish beast! 2 years ago i bought a pacu fish and the solder said fake things about that fish, and now I know what type of fish is, and he get massive! (Is a red belly) but now i love hjm because he act like a dog and when i put my hand in the acquarium he approaches me and he want to be petted, and, yes, i know, is incredible! But i cannot keep him but at the same time I don't want to sold him to another person or to an acquarium, so, can he live outside? Living in italy, water in winter reach 15c and sometimes (but is very rare) 12c! But if buy a heater + i put a solar pannel to heat it more, what temp do you think it will reach and if it is enough. Thank you for the help

Hi Alessandro, you need to keep the water at least 18 or maybe 16c or it will die. So if you use a heater then it might be ok! Good luck! They are really amazing and friendly fish.

@@TheFishBeast Hi, I'm back! I finally got a solar pannel and the water reached 26 degrees! But during the night it reaches 19.5 degrees. Is spring so the water during winter will be colder but I'll buy 2 heaters that can heat 300-400 liters. So, the water temp now is not a problem but I wouldn't want it to receive a temperature shock: in a day it changes by almost 10 degrees so I don't know if nothing will happen or if it could be a problem. What do you think, is it a problem? (Aniways, is a 530 gallons pond)

@@L4C4c4t4 Ciao! As long as the temperature doesn’t drop below 18 it should be fine. In nature they experience temperature swings from day to night. Very nice setup! Post a video of your pond if you can and let me know!
