I don't understand why you would do the shades of blue this way. A blend between dark and light blue squares with 14 steps in between requires no rasterization and the squares are all separate and easier to see and sample. No image trace involved either. I couldn't image trace because I forgot the rasterization step. I was frustrated until I rewatched the video.
Be a graphic designer I love my job but sometimes society not worth value my design, even not appreciate as much other fields of job and study. All ways in down look at graphic design job, oh God may future change for graphic designer.

Yes, definitely! It's useful to do a gradient to get your colors, that way they're close to each other, which gives it more of a 'depth' look.
