Eh he’s alright. He’s as good a protagonist as ubisoft could write. Still kinda underdeveloped, I would say it’s more a matter of the performance and the actor selling it really well, also his kinda iconic character design.
The driving is great. I'd say it's still my favorite among open world games and a bit better than GTAV. I think most people don't like it because it's not as easy as GTA and there's some actual throttle control needed. They feel really close to the older Driver games to me as well.

im replaying the game for second time,after 10 years still looks so good,Aiden is the perfect character,also the bloodlines dlc for watch dogs legion is very good, seeing Jackie older and working with Aiden is amazing
If I remember correctly, the original E3 stuff is in the game files, just disabled for some reason. People think it's something to do with Sony or Microsoft realizing the console versions looked inferior, so paid Ubisoft to downgrade the pc version so they didn't look bad.

Recently got the game again as it is free on ps plus and immediately went to platnium it, took me a few days and finally got it, 10/10 game and the online is surprisingly still active even 10 years later. Fuck the drinking challenges tho.

I remeber playing this co-op with my brother online and all you had t o do if you wanted to lose the police is steal a boat. Helicopters never search well enough and that's all that can possibly see you.
You know, the reason i think most people "dog" (heh) on this game's driving, is because it's hefty. realistic. the cars have weight. not everything being super arcadey like every single other game. I personally love the driving in the game, feels proper. makes extreme chases and online play exciting.
Car physics are worse than 3D GTAs, there's almost no weight, not mentioning actual feature devs put to be able to clip through vehicles on high speeds from sides, plus you can't get on top of other vehicle because top car will clip through with bottom one and cause physics chaos. Only GTA 4 was able to reach somewhat close car handling and weight (in open world games).
People saw they forgot about this game. I never left and have played it all these years, the story never gets old and i loved it as a hacking, stealth, fun, freeroam game

I love how alive this game’s world feels like while being an open sand box for the player. You being able to listen to npc’s phone calls, cameras, finding potential crimes, stealing money from their bank accounts, even them reacting to your presence as the vigilante and showing either disgust, curiosity or approval makes me walk around the streets as if I was part of it
in this game, if you think the driving and the gunplay are bad its just because youre bad at them, just look at some pro gameplays and you will see how good this game can be
One of my top games, love the gunplay when you mix in the focus mechanic and takedowns. I've also always found the driving really good in an arcade racer sort of way, you can use fast cars and the handbrake to basically play Burnout.
I absolutely adore this game I beat it with my dad when I was younger I’m 22 now n I made my younger brother beat it n we play watch dogs 2 coop n still wreck havoc , this games got better story n atmosphere than the second of its franchise n better than most campaigns out there plus the hacking invader was so amazing back then …. Genuinely the “wind” effect in the game DEMO is what HAD people. We’d never and still haven’t seen a wind mechanic in game that is actually realistic. Ubisoft made it look too realistic than what they were capable of
I never saw the expo for this game, but when I played it, it was fantastic. A great game without a doubt. And if you have an issue with the driving, it's because your a bad gamer. I had no problems with the driving. 8/10 in it's time, 6.5/10 now
Everytime I see people playing Watch dogs, I say try Living city mod. It makes the base game whole lot better. And don’t forget, not to give Ubisoft credit for it.
Recently replayed this and Watch Dogs 2.. I originally loved the sequel but hated the first game.. And coming back, I discovered a new found love of this. It's a shame that Legion threw it out the window.
In my opinion. Watch dogs 1 was a great game and i wish the series would follow the dark tone it had. Claire's death is still on my top 20 video game characters deaths

The Digital Trips were really fun. Couldn't start a new playthrough without getting the Alone Outfit first.
