Watch Dogs and Saints Row are a lot alike. Cult classics that fell apart because their studio had no idea where to take the franchise.
I mean saints row just kept dropping instead of at least trying a different approach like watch dogs
Watch Dogs 2 is massively better than 1 to be fair but that was the last time a game in that series was better than the first one

The driving is great. I'd say it's still my favorite among open world games and a bit better than GTAV. I think most people don't like it because it's not as easy as GTA and there's some actual throttle control needed. They feel really close to the older Driver games to me as well.
@@dylansandoval9841 iirc the engine watch dogs 1 used was meant for an open world driving game ( most likely a driver game ) but they changed course early on.

The Digital Trips were really fun. Couldn't start a new playthrough without getting the Alone Outfit first.
Alone is without a doubt the best Digital Trip. Madness though? Don’t get me or anyone started on that one. Total pain in the ass to complete. It took me pure dumb luck to finish the last round with 2 seconds to spare
The music in this game was awesome the phone was actually a part of the story not forced in just for phone calls and jokes
On PC version, the community put together a definitive Mod to make the game look and play like E3
Also, first game is still better than 2 and Legion
If I remember correctly, the original E3 stuff is in the game files, just disabled for some reason. People think it's something to do with Sony or Microsoft realizing the console versions looked inferior, so paid Ubisoft to downgrade the pc version so they didn't look bad.
Wd2 hacking mechanics and drones were top tier. I finished a mission without even stepping foot inside lol. Wd1 story + wd2 gameplay would be killer
yeah no the second one is widely thought of as the best. the protagonist and story isnt as good but the gameplay is superior.
@@dankart4924 It ain't, the media lied to you for clicks, there are unused presets named "E3" and such, but using those doesn't equal to the demos
Essentially just because it has E3 in the name, it doesn't mean it is - same is applied to most of mods
There is no mod that looks like E3 2012 demo

im replaying the game for second time,after 10 years still looks so good,Aiden is the perfect character,also the bloodlines dlc for watch dogs legion is very good, seeing Jackie older and working with Aiden is amazing
playing multiplayer with the boys was so fun back in the day

the graphics didnt age as well as gta v but it was really good, especially gud since it was one of my first games since i started pc gaming

Recently got the game again as it is free on ps plus and immediately went to platnium it, took me a few days and finally got it, 10/10 game and the online is surprisingly still active even 10 years later. Fuck the drinking challenges tho.

@@puncak3s976 it is. New Driver game turned into new IP which became Watch_Dogs, there's unused Tanner model still in files (even though it is buggy), plus bunch of files referencing driver.

Driver SF is underrated
I remeber playing this co-op with my brother online and all you had t o do if you wanted to lose the police is steal a boat. Helicopters never search well enough and that's all that can possibly see you.
I felt that 'Ten years?!' in my bones. And grey hairs...
I genuinely loved this first game when it came out, and loved the pvp
I remember this game, played when I was a kid. There was no feeling quite like taking out everyone in a restricted zone without ever even entering, it was like plating as an AI.
This is crazy because I started my very first play through 3 days ago this is awesome

I remember they have different languages in game and I heard 2 guys talking in Spanish about diarrhea and the way he talked about it was just hilarious 😂, rare it didn't happen often but I just bursted laughing.
It was random generated speech so random stuff would happen I heard a criminal I was chasing just spouting about how cheese comes from taps
You know, the reason i think most people "dog" (heh) on this game's driving, is because it's hefty. realistic. the cars have weight. not everything being super arcadey like every single other game. I personally love the driving in the game, feels proper. makes extreme chases and online play exciting.
Car physics are worse than 3D GTAs, there's almost no weight, not mentioning actual feature devs put to be able to clip through vehicles on high speeds from sides, plus you can't get on top of other vehicle because top car will clip through with bottom one and cause physics chaos. Only GTA 4 was able to reach somewhat close car handling and weight (in open world games).
I'm also replaying Watch Dogs 1 game recently too on my Xbox Series X. I completely forgot how fun this game is.
the blackout machanic was awesome
It's crazy how many open world games just cannot handle you following the NPCs and expecting them to do what they should be programmed to do.

I absolutely adore this game I beat it with my dad when I was younger I’m 22 now n I made my younger brother beat it n we play watch dogs 2 coop n still wreck havoc , this games got better story n atmosphere than the second of its franchise n better than most campaigns out there plus the hacking invader was so amazing back then …. The games still beautiful on series x

I love how alive this game’s world feels like while being an open sand box for the player. You being able to listen to npc’s phone calls, cameras, finding potential crimes, stealing money from their bank accounts, even them reacting to your presence as the vigilante and showing either disgust, curiosity or approval makes me walk around the streets as if I was part of it
its so sad that this game has this weird bug with the trenc coat, i played it on xbox 360 and it didnt have the bug and the physics looked amazing

People saw they forgot about this game. I never left and have played it all these years, the story never gets old and i loved it as a hacking, stealth, fun, freeroam game
One of my top games, love the gunplay when you mix in the focus mechanic and takedowns. I've also always found the driving really good in an arcade racer sort of way, you can use fast cars and the handbrake to basically play Burnout.

Remember how stunning Watch Dogs looked when Ubisoft unveiled it two years ago? When the game came out last month, many players said that the visuals for the open-world game didn't live up to that original teaser. But now an intrepid modder has found hidden files that improve the way the game looks, right there in Watch Dogs' PC version.
The discovery was announced on Guru3D (and spread after posted on NeoGAF), the various files tweak shaders, NPC density, camera angles and other elements. Mod creator TheWorse also claims that the files he's unpacked improve the game's performance, too
Loved the bad blood dlc I just liked tbone so much more even though Aidens story was also really good too
I love first Watch Dogs, if they make remaster, I will play it again and again.

The driving’s great.
Genuinely the “wind” effect in the game DEMO is what HAD people. We’d never and still haven’t seen a wind mechanic in game that is actually realistic. Ubisoft made it look too realistic than what they were capable of
If that wind effect hadn’t been shown. People would’ve thought “this is exactly as the demo”

You know, people say it under-delivered on the side of realism, but at 144p there are many instenses where it just looks like real life.
Maybe im the only one but i loved this game before and stil love it today.
Spider tank makes it all worth it
What's funny is assassins creed black flag has a mission your locked into that you can't pass without doing a online mission that no longer works.
Everytime I see people playing Watch dogs, I say try Living city mod. It makes the base game whole lot better. And don’t forget, not to give Ubisoft credit for it.

I never saw the expo for this game, but when I played it, it was fantastic. A great game without a doubt. And if you have an issue with the driving, it's because your a bad gamer. I had no problems with the driving. 8/10 in it's time, 6.5/10 now
I beat this game within days of it coming out and haven't gone back...
Just replayed the game with the nextgen mod and living city mod installed and holy f*** does the game look amazing with these two mods even better than what Ubi showed in theire reveal trailer

Recently replayed this and Watch Dogs 2.. I originally loved the sequel but hated the first game.. And coming back, I discovered a new found love of this. It's a shame that Legion threw it out the window.
