The Best Way To Learn English (In my humble opinion.)

  • In this English lesson I will explain what I think is the best way to learn English in 2020.
As many of you know I am an actual teacher. I have used both my teaching knowledge and my own experience as a language learner (French) to create this English learning plan.
To be honest, I am calling this video, "The Best Way to Learn English", but there is nothing really amazing or remarkable about this plan. It is however a very thorough approach to learning a language, and it will help you learn a lot of English if you stick to the plan for a whole year.
It is based on the concept that you should be spending an equal amount of time reading in English, writing in English, listening to English, speaking in English, and building your English vocabulary.
I think since there are 5 days in the week, and there are five areas you should focus on, it makes a lot of sense to focus on one of those things each day of the week.
So essentially you will use Mondays to focus on Reading, Tuesdays to focus on Writing, Wednesdays to focus on Listening, Thursdays to focus on Speaking, and Fridays to focus on Vocabulary Building.
You won't of course use your entire study time each day just focusing on one thing, but you will spend the majority of time each day focusing on one aspect of learning English.
    🌻🌼💐 Jen has a UA-cam channel too! Come and see: / @myflowerfarm

    - Put words in your dictionary.
    - Spend the rest of your hour:

FRIDAYS (Spend the Entire hour on Vocabulary):
    - Review all the words in your dictionary.
    - Write them out.
    - Say them out loud.
    - Use them in a sentence.
    - Make a quizlet.com set.
    - Make flashcards.
    - Work until you have them all memorized.
    WEEKENDS:
    - Find a new song.
    - Find a new book.
    - Find a new TV show.
    - Take a break.
I hope this plan helps you learn a lot of English this year. Have a good 2020!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off to reinforce the English you have learned!

One most important thing that you must know is you need to know new words every day and how to use them as well because if you don't know a lot of words you'll not able to speak very well, you'll not be able to listen very well and you'll not be able to undestand anything else as well.
It suppose learn english you need to sacrifice any procrastinator that you have to achieve it.
Keep studyng. You can do it!

From my experience of learning English as a foreign learner, I highly recommend exposing yourself to the language through movies and any other audio-visual content, this helped me get used to the pattern of that language and gave me a huge advantage among other learners who were learning English in a straight forward and boring method.

@@user-kp8wj5fj7u Of course it'll be difficult for a beginner for the very first place cause you need some basic to al least give your mind some patterns how this language works. As for me in the beginning of my jorney I got the hand of some basics before and then got around to different kinds of practice like movie and songs and then doing it over and over again I started comprehensing a little bit more

When reading, specially in other languages, i always use 3 colors of highlighters: 1 for vocabulary, 1 for important passages and 1 for super important observations. After i finish reading, i often transcribe them to a notebook. This helps me a lot for understanding the book, remembering things and learning new vocabulary. Also, if you want to revisit the book, it`s a time-saver just having the necessary passages highlighted and classified.

Hi Bob! Thank you for this plan. Yes, it's pretty simple and yet I had never guessed that one. I've adjusted it for myself and can't be happier. You renewed my interest to learning languages. I think I will use this 5 days formula for learning other languages too. :)

Hi, Bob. So lucky to meet you in UA-cam. I have been learnt English for almost 20 years since I was in aged 10, now I am 2-kids mother. I read and speak English occasionally not often, but I find it's hard to say a word when I want to use. I like English very much, I want to pick it up and learn it regularly. Here you come to my life, you are a very nice English teacher, working hard and sharing the right ways. I will follow your suggestion and hope they are workable for me. Thanks a lot.
