First of all great review ! There are a few details you forgot to mention, the most important being the fact that Tissot used plastic parts in the production models to keep costs down, such as the escape wheel and the hammer which are both made from plastic. Overtime this could be a pretty big issue. There is no micro-adjustment on the bracelet, which I know is a bit of a stretch for an integrated bracelet, but if you purchase this watch prepare to be uncomfortable, either because it’s too tight or too lose on your wrist, I myself was not able to find a happy medium. These and a few other factors are the reasons behind me selling mine. I bought the PRX Powermatic 80 with the white dial and the rose gold bezel 2 years ago at the peak of it’s popularity. I fell victim to going down the UA-cam watch rabbit hole when every creator was recommending this watch. It’s a beautiful piece, don’t get me wrong, but if you just like the look, go for the quartz version. I barely wore mine, no visible marks and I still lost a lot of money on the aftermarket. Just food for thought…at the end of the day it’s your money and you can do as you please, but in my personal opinion, there are better watches out there for the same price, you just gotta do a little research. If you just like the look of the Gerald Genta inspired “Royal Oak” design check out the Citizen Tsuyosa, you get an automatic movement for half the price. Ok, it’s not a Swiss Made ETA movement, but at least there are no plastic parts 😅
Glad you liked the video! Fortunately, I was able to remove 2 links and find my happy medium in terms of comfort with the bracelet. In terms of this vs the quartz, while they are very similar, the bordered window + waffle dial makes it worth it (for me). However, that's my preference and some may think these aren't worth the extra money. I'm curious though, any other watches besides the Tsuyoa that you think compare with the PRX?
Sound like a hater. There’s a reason this is voted the best watch for a thousand and under. The “plastic” parts are beneficial and self lubricating and make the watch last longer without needing serviced.
@ How am I a hater if I owned the watch lol ? I was simply stating facts and my personal experience. I even said it was a great watch, just not for me. Do you own a PRX?
@@TheRealDoctorBreezy cool, so I guess their marketing is correct, because years after its release everybody who has it says that’s exactly what it does. So what’s the problem?
Tbh, I’d go for the tissot ice blue. I think it looks better (and red is actually my favourite colour). It seems more versatile and you can wear it with more outfits than the seiko. PRX also has a longer power reserve (80hrs vs 40 on the seiko). It’s down to preference though but I think the tissot can be more of a GADA than the samurai.
I’d go for the powermatic 80. I like the dial better and it’s automatic. Obviously this goes down to personal taste, but I think the prx is more versatile and looks better with most outfits.
I think not. I have bought three Tissot watches. Chronograph PRX, the PRX and gentleman. Bracelet is so uncomfortable. Butterfly clasp suck, lume is subpar. Micro brands have Tfit. I wish I knew. The chronograph cost 1800. I will never buy another watch without a Tfit on the fly adjustment
have the mop and also going to buy the dark blue!
still the best watch under 1k if ur into integrated bracelets.
nice video.

@@UnRaT3Dx yeah, it’s called marketing 😂

Tissot ice blue or SRPL11K1 samurai?

Great video, cool watch. But after discovering atomic timekeeping, I can't fathom wearing a timepiece that displays inaccurate time.
Okay wow, just unlocked a new rabbit hole for me lol. Any specific watches you recommend ?
prx powermatic 80 or gshock gmb2100?
I’d go for the powermatic 80. I like the dial better and it’s automatic. Obviously this goes down to personal taste, but I think the prx is more versatile and looks better with most outfits.
