FYI The HSV with this LS3 engine produced from 317kw to 325kw, not 307kw. The 307kw was the last of the LS2 GenIV that was in the first VE HSV’s. The last HSV’s that had the LS3 produced up to 340kw with that motor being in the first of the GEN F series HSV.
I'm pretty sure it's real carbon fibre. A mate had a VF SV6 and if you lift the little rubber mat in the tray just forward of the gear selector you'll see what I mean. Kind of cool for a Commodore. Some other pricier brands fake it.
Very good show, in how review and talk about the cars, others show more presenter than the car. but the only problem I dont like is your camera. you move around too much. fix that and it will be better than other car shows ive been watching.
comparison between the VF and the VF2 for it's SS range. I remember the VF having that cylinder deactivation so does that improve fuel economy for an everyday driver, as a Honda accord euro owner(using 9.6L per 100km of consumption) is there any explanation to tell that would be a good or bad move to go for this car?
According to the claimed consumption, the VF SS uses 11.5l/11.7l and the VFII SS 12.6l/12.9l combined(sedan/wagon). I don't know anything about the real world figures though.
I had a VE GTS and fuel consumption was good for a 325kw V8. 850kms a tank average. Only the L79 Engine deactivates the 4 cylinders on cruise. Not the LS3. I now have a 2016 CAPRICE V VF with the LS3 and it goes well....very well.
+Studat Would be one hell of a send off. Most powerful Australian car ever built....Probably give the new Front wheel drive V6 Commodore one hell of a licking 😂😉😉
I hope this channel takes off. I'm liking the POV's and really enjoy the standard reviews.

Did the speedo go up when you revved it?
please do a POV for the SS V Redline Wagon. If possible of course
You lose a sunroof and 9 speaker BOSE sound system by getting the wagon instead of the sedan. Keep in mind
I’d be happy without the sunroof, the Bose sound would be more of a hit IMO.
Those poor Bridgestone Turanzas
Pretty good review.
Did you break or dislocate your thumbs man? They don't look right...
Form of arthrogryposis
loved it keep it up
Which wagon should i get for towing bike trailers?
Subaru outback

If you got an Accord (V6?) you can get the Calais V V6. The VFII V8 had about 10% higher claimed combined fuel consumption over the VF.
MADD617 so regardless the deactivation function it still drinks alot like all v8s?

The SSV looks way better, the front looks kinda crappy compared to the SSV.

this engine makes no sense in that body
It doesn't have to....It's Australian.😂
+The one original ThvaccK I am Australian and still don't get it. Save that engine for the SS😉😉😉
+Studat Haha... my bad I thought it was Calais ss 😂😂.....they've (hopefully) got a supercharged version planned for the last ss.
