Success!! I bought the kit and cleaned my Epson ET-2850 according to Brandon's easy to follow and meticulous instructions. However, I elected to do three follow-up regular cleanings instead of a power cleaning. My printer now works perfectly. Thank you, Brandon! I've learned my lesson and will now print at least one color copy per week, even if it's just a BYMC purge print. Question: Now that I've got the kit, will you ever consider selling larger bottles of the cleaning solution by themselves?
Hi, thanks for this comment. Actually, I had a question which I think you answered. My question was: "what is the alternative of power cleaning to push ink after performing the solution cleaning? Power cleaning will shorten the life of the printer!". So you performed regular HEAD CLEANING; right?
Hi, thank for the video! It really helped me a lot. I need help with this. I bought your kit and I’m only having an issue with the black ink. The solution is not going through. Doesn’t matter much I warm the solution. Is there another way this can work?
You may want to warm it up a bit more than you have been. That's really the only way that there's gonna be a break in that blockage. Also be patient with applying steady pressure at one time eventually it will break.
My black and magenta is not printing, saw your video and follow the instructions on the black and magenta but noting is coming out just the blue and yellow is coming out on the tissue, the magenta keep blowing out the syringe not sure why.
You will need to warm up the cleaning fluid and reapply it on the magenta. Once that pushes through, you will need to do power cleaning after 24 hours.
Great instructions. Just did the cleaning using the entire bottle to clean the cyan nozzles. Crossed fingers that it worked! I believe it clogged up due to lack of use of printing anything with much green/cyan. I think I will create a PDF page in Illustrator using only the CMYK colors to run monthly to ensure all the colors are being used.
Yes that is a good idea, consistent printing will prevent this issue in the future. Thank you for purchasing the BP cleaning kit, please leave a positive review at your convenience!

I watched several videos to try to get my ET-2850 printer working again. Yours was very clear and easy to follow. I cleaned all 4 printheads as I wasn't able to get any of the colors to print. After following the process, I now have yellow printing, but not the other colors. I am purchasing another kit and will go through it again with the 3 stubborn colors. Okay I had my printer for only 2-3 months and it stopped printing I have left it sitting for 6 months now and trying to clean it cause I’m sure it’s a clog no color beside blue is coming out and that has lines in it .. so my question is since my ink has been sitting for a while do I need to empty that out before this and out fresh ink in ? I just tried this because my magenta wasn't printing at all... now NONE of the colors are printing.... HELP! it also looks like I'm not getting ink in the cartridges either. Could there be something wrong with the lines leading from the ink holder to the actual cartridges?
My ET-2760 straight up prints 0 color on that test (CMY is blank). It sucks cuz I had to print a colorful college graph assignment right when it gave out 🙃... Glad this video exists cuz Epson didn't help at all.
My printer was doing fine then it did an update on printer and apple phone. Now when I try to print it says printer did a update i hit ok but it will not print.
Wow, excellent video. I just ordered the kit. Any suggestion when filling up the reservoirs, I'm no able to see the levels clearly if it is filled through the plastic? sometime is shows when using the printer that the reservoirs are empty. I do not believe that they are, I kept adding and made puddle underneath the printer. Hopefully the cleaning will help.
Followed 2 of your videos on 3 printers ET 4750 - none of them really worked. One went dead with error 031006 (code of death, burned fuse and/or print head), another one went 2 times in Printer inspection mode, needed 15 dollar reprogramming twice, 3rd machine still starts but printing gets bad when printing more than 10 pages in a row. 4750 is a bad machine, awful problematic print head, not like 2720.

Help!!! bought the cleaning kit. followed instructions waited the 24 hours, but did not have the top back on and started up and did not have tanks completely full and it printed a print test which did not show the colors. Did I ruin the printer?
Also where does the ink go with a power cleaning. Another video I watched said that it’s not good to do a power cleaning because it goes into a reservoir which cannot be replaced if you can help me with this question too I sure would appreciate it
Thanks alot, I followed your instructions except waiting for it to dry since I was in a rush but it all worked out perfectly. Excellent video and solid advice.
I took out my ink cartridges and realize the red is not even flowing into the cartridge itself. Its empty but the red ink tank is full. How would one fix this?
Thank you for this video. This was extremely helpful and now I know I need to send something thru my printer on a fairly regular basis so I can hopefully avoid doing this every few months. One question I have is you mention to wait at least 12 hours to plug back in and start up. Should I wait this 12 hours to reconnect the “cartridges” back to the printheads? Another helpful thing to include in the video is the recommendation to purchase at least 2 of the kits or additional solution (if it’s an option) if you have problems with multiple colors. Only my black was good. All of my other colors were plugged up and I was concerned if I would have enough solution. Thank you again! This was a major budget saver.

Thanks for your easy to follow instructions. I was lucky that it only took one cleaning to unclog my printheads. The only hard part was inserting the paper towel under the print head. But everything else was so easy to do.

I followed all your wonderful instructions and my test page was perfect. I loaded all my inks before doing it as you said. ....While I'm printing today 2 things happened. I began getting those horizontal lines again in my print copies?? So I once again cleaned my print head and the test page was good. Still getting lines. ....Also got a message saying "adjust your ink levels?" How do you do that??? Thanks for your help.
Mine appears to be clogged in the tubes. No ink is flowing to the dampers. Any suggestions on how to unclog from the tubes? I’ve bought the solution and tried this method but it hasn’t worked.
Found your video specific to my printer, the 2850. Ordered your kit. Followed your detailed instructions and made sure to dry and waited 24 hours to be sure the printer was dry and BAM! It worked just as you claimed. Nozzles clear. Thanks bro!
My Epson ET-2850 printer prints double, it is not a continuous line but rather one appears next to the other. I did what you indicated but I still haven't corrected it, I would like to send you a sample but I don't know how to do it, I don't know if you have Instagram and thank you
Got printing problem with my Epson ET 2850. But when i printed trough the apps ( Epson smart panel) the result is 200%100 better. So tried to print trough the apps before trying this cleaning process
This is ONLY necessary when people don't do what they are supposed to do with their ink tank printers which is to print at least 1 full page color photo per day. If you print at least one color photo per day on your ink tank printer no matter what brand...THIS CLOGGING ISSUE WILL NEVER HAPPEN! Sometimes people let their printers sit for days without printing anything and they expect their ink to never dry up...WELL THAT IS ALL BS! A printer is meant to print...why in the hell would you buy one if you plan to just let it sit for days and have the dam ink dry up. Use your printer daily and print at least one random full page color photo and your ink will more than likely never dry up in your print head. Common sense people....simple dam common sense!
believe it or not, some people casually use printers and dont need it for our day to day or job. If a printer takes so much effort just to declog and maintain, it probably not a good product to begin with. They still clog even when using EVERYDAY 😂
great video , my advice ;get all those hanging cartridges fastened together with scotch tape for the time you work on it, let them be one piece .,easier
Thank you for all your knowledge. I am going to give this a try. But I am not going to do a power cleaning. I am sure that making and printing a purge file will get the ink flowing back again, as I do not want to fill up my maintenance tank with unnecessary ink. Try this method before suggesting the power cleaning which we are all trying to avoid. 😊
Hi, yes you are correct printing a purge file is a much better alternative but keep in mind you may have to run it several times. Power cleaning is for the masses as it produces quick results with less frustration.
Just ordered a bottle for tomorrow. Wondering what the difference Is between the Power cleaning and the deep cleaning? I keep hearing that it shortens the life of the printer. But how? Is it just the issue of filling the maintenance tank? Just don’t want to do excess ware and tear. Thanks. Nice video whether it works for me or not. This aint my first rodeo with cleaning heads. Thanks
Power cleanings should be used sparingly, but they are worth using one or two times if it solves a short term problem for you. And as an example, not being able to print certain color.
@@BestPrinters yeah thanks for replying. But what I'm wondering is is it just the maintenance box that gets filled up is that the only issue by using that or is there another reason why you shouldn't do it question mark thanks
Thanks for this video. I have a question. I am only having grayscale and monochrome option under Color Printing Mode and not able to print color. My printer is new around 2 weeks. Do you have any idea, how can i solve this issue?
@@BestPrinters Thank for your answer. I tried this method, nothing resolved for me. I uninstalled epson app on my laptop and set it up again. Then Issue resolved. Thanks
Could you kindly help me please. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep this printer so I only added the black ink a few weeks ago to the printer to try it out. Today I decided well I may as well keep the printer and add the colored inks. The colored inks only print blank. This is a new printer. Only been used to print in black ink. Please let me know how to charge and make the colored inks work. Thank you.
You need to run a power cleaning. What happened is because you only put black, that is the only color that charged into the printhead. Now running the power cleaning will charge the color ink as well.
Do you have a video on the cleaning procedure for Epson ET-2800, as they have a different type of set-up than ET 2850? I will wait for your response, also please share how to open the whole top for an easy excess. Thanks
Hello. I have a problem with the Epson ET 2814 printer. At the same time, 4 lights flash, namely the power button, the lower wifi light and both ink and paper lights. Thank you for your help.
@@BestPrintersHello. Thanks for your reply. The printer is two and a half years old. I use genuine Epson ink. I turned off the printer for 24 hours and the problem is the same. The power button does not work because the printer does not turn off when I press it. I tried various combinations, e.g. B. Pressed the power button and the Color button for 15 seconds, still nothing. I opened the printer and there is no paper residue.
I'm really not one to give props. But you were on point. It worked! In fact.... colors were more vibrant than when I first bought it. Must have been sitting awhile when I brought it. It works 😊
Hi, I have a ET3700, which is very similar inside to your ET 2850 and I’ve followed your recommendations to cleaned my printhead but it get clogged after one day and I have to perform a printhead clean almost every other day….. do you have any other ideas / suggestions on what to do? Thanks
Try moving the ink bottles up and down when installing so that they can fill up. As far as not being able to do a power cleaning. You may be able to do it through your PC if you're connected directly go under maintenance settings and run it from there
I have a new 2850. Used probably 10 times and was printing fine and stopped with an error but doesn't give a code. Full tanks. Everything was fine 🤷🏻♀️
I use sublimation ink in my ET 2850 and was told NOT to run the cleaning solution through, but hot water. Is this correct. None of my colors are printing.
I used tweezers to get the syringe tube securely over the nozzle and, thanks to your great video, I did it! Wasn't difficult at all. Now I will wait for a day and do a power cleaning. Hopefully it's going to be printing well. Warming the cleaning solution was absolutely necessary for me cuz it was hard pushing fluid at the start but after the first 10mls it got much easier. I highly recommend warming the solution! Thanks so very much!!!
👋🏻how did you warm up the solution if you don’t mind my asking, please? 🙏🏻🍒🧁🍰 set the bottle in a cup of hot water? Microwave the bottle of the solution? Inquiring minds want to know. TIA and hello from Alaska 🙋🏻♀️🏔️💕

I ran out of cleaner, very hard to get solution into the colored sections. Can I buy more solution without the kit? Not sure I had enough. Thank you
Yes message me on Amazon.
Can I do a power cleaning without the printer being attached to my computer? I need to bring the printer to my house
Yes! there are instructions online.
Hi, make sure your ink tanks are full. And at this point you may want to run a power cleaning.
Mine appears to be clogged in the tubes. No ink is flowing to the dampers. Any suggestions on how to unclog from the tubes? I’ve bought the solution and tried this method but it hasn’t worked.
Try doing a power cleaning.
Found your video specific to my printer, the 2850. Ordered your kit. Followed your detailed instructions and made sure to dry and waited 24 hours to be sure the printer was dry and BAM! It worked just as you claimed. Nozzles clear. Thanks bro!
Awesome!
Did you perform a power cleaning after using the solution or you just used HEAD CLEANING option?
Great video, but why the sketchy redirect links in the description? Yeah, they go to Amazon, but you didn't need to make a middle-man redirect.
They are international Amazon links. Otherwise only US viewers have access.
i need help i did yhe cleaning and now my printer is printing blanks HELP ME PLEASE

Gotcha
Just did a power clean
Works good!
Great!
great video , my advice ;get all those hanging cartridges fastened together with scotch tape for the time you work on it, let them be one piece .,easier
Great tip, thanks!
Yes your color ink nozzles may be clogged, use the method in this video.
@@BestPrinters Thank for your answer. I tried this method, nothing resolved for me. I uninstalled epson app on my laptop and set it up again. Then Issue resolved. Thanks
My epson 2850 is brand new and wont print green. Should I be cleaning it already?? It prints every other color.
Print a nozzle report, that will reveal if you need to do a printhead cleaning.
Thank you! So in my case I would need to clean all colors correct? Cus the lines are all through my image
Yes correct!
It's taking me 30 minutes to print 1 photo on a piece of Glossy Paper at Standard colour quality. It used to take 2 to 3 minutes
New printer may be needed.
Should I try a power clean before using the solution or just do the purge first?
Tough call, you dont want to overuse the power cleaning, and if you end up needing to use the kit, you will need to run it again.
All my photos came out red. Just started please help
Thank you for the video. Would this also apply to my printer printing in a pink/orange hue.
Yes, absolutely
Do you have a video on the cleaning procedure for Epson ET-2800, as they have a different type of set-up than ET 2850? I will wait for your response, also please share how to open the whole top for an easy excess. Thanks
I will be making a video on that printer next week, please subscribe.
Hello. I have a problem with the Epson ET 2814 printer. At the same time, 4 lights flash, namely the power button, the lower wifi light and both ink and paper lights. Thank you for your help.
Power off unplug and leave off for 24 hours.
@@BestPrintersI'll try that. Thanks.
It works 😊
Glad I could help! make sure to subscribe!
This is a lot of work!! Wish the heads would not get dry. We use our printer occadionally.
Yes sorry this is the best option.
I've converted my ecotank printer to a sublimation printer. Is this method OK to use on sub printers?
Yes.
Hi, I have a ET3700, which is very similar inside to your ET 2850 and I’ve followed your recommendations to cleaned my printhead but it get clogged after one day and I have to perform a printhead clean almost every other day….. do you have any other ideas / suggestions on what to do? Thanks
Try the cleaning solution warmed up.
This worked extremely well. Did everything as instructed, and my printer is back to normal. Big hat tip to Brandon!
Awesome!
does this work for lines going across when printing?
YES!
My tanks won't fill, so I am unable to ru a power clean, any suggestions
Try moving the ink bottles up and down when installing so that they can fill up. As far as not being able to do a power cleaning. You may be able to do it through your PC if you're connected directly go under maintenance settings and run it from there
good videos but you need to fix your audio bro it's in mono i can only hear it in the right ear of my headphones please make it stereo thanks 🙏
Working on it
I have a new 2850. Used probably 10 times and was printing fine and stopped with an error but doesn't give a code. Full tanks. Everything was fine 🤷🏻♀️
Same here.
Did this solution work for you?
I use sublimation ink in my ET 2850 and was told NOT to run the cleaning solution through, but hot water. Is this correct. None of my colors are printing.
yes, with sublimation ink you may be better off with hot water
@@BestPrintersThank you!
Glad it helped! Good luck!
👋🏻how did you warm up the solution if you don’t mind my asking, please? 🙏🏻🍒🧁🍰 set the bottle in a cup of hot water? Microwave the bottle of the solution? Inquiring minds want to know. TIA and hello from Alaska 🙋🏻♀️🏔️💕
hot water in a cup = too easy. I was about to buy a new printer and then happened on this instructive vid. Saved me a lot of money!!! Good luck!@@elizabeth4053
@@elizabeth4053 yep, a few minutes in a cup of hot water warmed the solution! Best of luck! and Hello from Calgary!
Hey! I just did everything that you said in the video, but it didn't work.. is my printer broken?
I did at least 30 nozzle wash and litteraly NOTHING is on the paper.
I wonder if it's not a system communication problem?
Helppp i need it😫
Ok, it finaly worked!! Thank you so much!
Great I'm glad that you got it to work.
is there a way to prevent the clogging if you know in advance you will not use the printer for a couple months?
The only way is to print at least once per week.
Thanks for the helpful vids. Are there plans of reviewing the current Canon maxifiy series?
Thanks for the comment, I might consider it later this year!
whats the point of doing all this if you still have to do a power cleaning? power cleaning shortens the life of your printer.
It’s the only way unfortunately.
What exactly do you mean by shortens the life? Do you mean the amount of ink? I’m not understanding.
@@Saif_4229the life of the printer can only handle x amount of waste ink
Your video is really helping I’m Waiting on my solution in syringe I have everything ready to go except for there’s a little hinge on the left-hand side of my 2800 Epson eco-tank and it won’t go up any further the lid won’t go up to you can you tell me how to fix that
You will have to remove the screws around the scanning bed.
@@BestPrinters quick question. Since mine is still under warranty and i got an extended 2 year and i have had it since Nov 2021 and now it wont print color and the black is more gray now. Is it best just to send away for a new one and start over then to clean this one? the man at Office max said that sometimes they just send you a new machine without having you send it back.. I just dont want to mess up anything and mess up the warranty Thanks in advance
Okay! I am the most unmechanical person on the planet...when I wrote my first line of code some 30 years ago, my ability to work on my car and turn a wrench or other tool quickly went out the window...but I was able to do these steps and not swear a blue streak! I'm currently letting my printer dry for a good 12 hours before putting everything back together and giving it a go. The real hard part now will be to keep the cats from 'checking it out' while it is sitting here open. (I think I'll take it into a room and close the door....)
Hey guys just select “Power Cleaning” option on your printer once or twice. Twice worked on mine and it printed like the day I bought it. NO NEED for any solutions or anything!
just got my 2850 today , if not printing for a few days to a week is it best to turn it off ?
Yeah a few days nothing will happen.
Worked like a charm! Many, many thanks!!
So glad to hear it!
What kinda screw drivers did u used to take out the screw ? I have the solution already just trying to find the right screw driver to get it out
Agreed.... At 3:47 he neglected to remind us of the size of the Philips used for the "tiny screw". 🤔
@@cruzinsweetsntreatshe also neglected to mention in his advertisement of the over priced cleaning kit that screws around the scanner need to be removed to lift the lid.
Can you help me?I have a ET 2803 and those white wheels to the right inside of the printer, after so many prints makes a noise like its skipping towards the end of my print looks like splates of black ink and print look likes its off with all the colors,it started out of no where
I have no printing ussues when I do a nozzle check and a head cleaning ..only when printing out an Image there lines ...what going on ...do I need to do this cleaningng.?
This completely fixed my printer! Cheers!!
Nice!
My magenta isn't working, however it WAS working and then halfway through the second copy it stopped working. Does this mean it became clogged??
Where could I find the ink dampers for this model can’t find it anywhere
Have you tried Amazon?
Yes
in all the videos you never show how to open the lid entirely. How is this done?
You lift from below the scanner.
@@BestPrinters There is a part that keeps the top from being released. It cannot be lifted more than 2 inches max. How do you releaser the top so it can be opened completely in order to proceed with the dirrections. In the video the top is completely opened.
@@BestPrinters No way that I see to unlock this top to be able to lift it. It is a ET- 2800. the ET 2850 does not have this lock and can be lifted.
Great video, but I tried your link but it took me to a Amazon page but they did not show the cleaning products that you used, am I missing something, can you help me please regards Chris?
Hi , I inishiatate with black only ink and not coloured and now only prints b/w only , what’s the solution please help
my issue is i cant get the color inks into the tanks from the refill bottles guess i waited too long to refill. is that a sign that i have clogged heads?
will this product resolve my issue? Or do i have a different problem with the printer?
