The Doors - Paris Blues (Official Video)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 лис 2022
- “Paris Blues” traveled a long and winding path to its release, taking on a mythic quality among Doors’ fans along the way. An original blues song written by the band; the track was recorded during one of the band’s recording sessions for either The Soft Parade or L.A. Woman (no one seems to remember). The master tape of the song was lost and the only surviving copy was given to Doors’ keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Sadly, this copy was partially damaged by his son Pablo (a toddler at the time), who recorded over a few short parts. Now, through some creative editing, the song has been rescued from obscurity for the new album.

The Doors channel is the official UA-cam home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.
Could any of you believed years ago to be listening a new song by The Doors in 2022? It's incredible, unbelievable, true magic. Thanks a lot to all the people that make this possible.
The 60s sound like a time that shouldn't exist.
My generation Z missed out 🤷
I know it’s so amazing
I Love This ❤Long gone days feels so close on listening
Could this be an introduction - for a new tour?
@MOONL⚡️GHT LOVE 💓 Sorry about my English, I'm from Spain and it's not my first language. I meant real magic, hope it makes sense.
Heard my first Doors song when I was 17 years old, and they became my favorite band from that day on. Now, at 72 years old, I am hearing a new one, and my mind is just as blown.
62 and blown away!
it's freaky man, like he is here, maybe he is, Hi Jim...
Lucky you were born then man.

You are so lucky sir.
Long live to you 🍾
What a masterful job of restoring a lost Doors song from a 2nd-generation damaged cassette tape. Congratulations to all those involved.
You mean I get to be alive when the Doors release new music??? awesome...
Fantastic feeling.

Yep👍
110% agree- They do not get enough credit
Ahhh no
One of the best unless you only listen to three bands
Was going to type rip Jim and then thought to myself he just blacked out again. He'll be coming back around after he sleeps it off. I like that thought! Love to Morrison and the doors! Thank you for all you've contributed, truly timeless original music.
New Doors music in November 2022, i just can not believe my ears...Thank you so much to all those who made this miracle happen!

The Doors were a Blues band at heart : Jim's big majestic voice, Robbie's slide, John's shuffle and Ray's club piano. Superb mood and magic.
Yes!!
Blues Jazz
I don't think that's accurate.
@@elmoblatch9787 that's your problem
The doors are Acid Blues and Jim is the finest blues singer , EVER.
To hear Jim singing about getting old....wow..love this album
Wasn’t expecting a new doors song in my lifetime.
the doors will never close
“Going to the city of love,
Gonna start my life all over again”.
💔💔💔
It sounds really heartbreaking now
Lyrics:
I wish I was a girl of sixteen
Be the queen of the magazine
I'd drive around in a great big car
I'd see the world as a great big dream
All night long you could hear me scream
Hear me scream
When you look around
When you look all around you
Can you believe the shape she's in
Look all around you
Can you believe the shape she's in
Know where I'm goin'
Can't remember where I've been
Know right where I'm goin'
Well I can't remember where I've been
Goin' to the city of love
Gonna start my life all over again, yeah
Once I was young
Now I'm gettin' old
Once I was warm, babe
Now I feel cold
Well I'm goin' overseas
Gonna grab me some of that gold.
Thanks a Lot🙏✌️☮️💯🦋🏵️👍🙋💃

When the music's over, turn out the lights.
No, Jim, Ray, Robbie and John, your music will never be over.
Jim, Ray, Robbie and John...this music never dies.
AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for restoring this recording and sharing it with all of us today!
The doors are one of the best.
I can feel the magic inside my brain while listening to this masterpiece.
That's possibly one of the most appropriate compliments I've ever heard! ❤️
The Doors are unique. What an bizarre and strong emotion to listen to a new song from them. The most singular band ever.
I heard my first song by The Doors when I was 15, and they became my favorite band from that day on. From 1971 I can't find a band that looks like it even a little bit similar but nothing. They are and will be eternal! like my tattoo of them on my skin. Greetings from Argentina! for everyone !
Nice to hear you !I am a fan since 15, now 43! I qas for 1 week in Paris in Per Lachese
Anything newly released from the Doors, just adds to the magnificence of the band!
Long live the Doors!
Wow! I own everything put out by The Doors, every boot etc. I never heard this before, what a special day for a massive Doors fan to hear something from the band I never heard before. Thank you for sharing....... Outstanding as always, makes me miss Jim and Ray even more. Break on thru...............
Anyone else pick up on Jim's words..."I am going to go to the City of Love and start my Life Over Again" So Jim always intended to leave for Paris, how eerie to think it was his demise going there when all he wanted was to start over as a poet and fade into the shadows away from fame.
Do you know the meaning of "everything"?
@@dropboxdropbox See most people use it as an expression, then there are folks on the internet with zero to do in life but literalize everything.
Cheers

Makes me glad hereing Doors music... Makes me sad Jim and Ray not here with us...
@@davidmeile4094 Same, the music makes me go from stressed and worn out to happy and optimistic. Something about their songs that makes me feel better. Long work day, crank The Doors then it just mellows me out, they are truly one of a kind. Ray was so cool, loved his stories, hard to think Jim has been gone so long.
It felt so great to hear him sing the blues, and why am I weeping…

What a trip! Jim and the boys in fine form with Jim predicting his and the world's future all in one song. Paris may be Jim's final farewell but the memories and the legend lives on.
In my lifetime!!!!! Never thought I'd be that lucky.... Long live Jim
Who could have thought, a new song by The Doors in 2022. This is the best thing that has happened in a long fucking time in rock music. Being a rock band ourselves, we absolutely love all The Doors albums. They are a huge inspiration to us!
Qué grata sorpresa oír la voz de Jim en una nueva canción, y una pieza maestra de blues
Got to meet Morrison's family back in 07 when his dad was in the Navy hospital ward. He was my patient, as a Corpsman. Admitted him, talked with him and his sister. Such a beautiful and fun family. I remember the dad saying that his son is alive and the sister laughed. Guess he was joking lol. People asked him that a lot I suppose.
The Admiral said Jim was alive? I wouldn't take that so lightly since he was the Admiral of naval intelligence and supposedly there at the Gulf of tonkin incident which never happened. If anybody could pull off and hide Jim Morrison it would be the admiral. Paris was a hotbed for CIA activity at the time
A great masterpiece!!! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
The Doors forever baby ! They are gold !
Since I'm a big blues fan, I gotta be a big fan of The Doors' Paris Blues. I can't believe this killer song wasn't released much, much sooner. I just LOVE it! 👍👍👍👍👍

Never thought that I'd live in a time where I could hear new songs of The Doors, yet here we are. I'm so happy!!!
Kinda has a "the cars hiss by my window" type of vibe & I love it. Viva Las Puertas/The Doors
The only Doors song I ever sang in public-In Taipei.

🌹Jim Morrison The Living Legend Of Rock N Roll
The greatest of all time. You left us too soon Jim, but you are still eternal.
Still undefeated. This music will be listened from generations on
I've always heard of this track, I'm 2022 and this band changed my life. I wouldn't be who I am today if not for The Doors. I always thought this track was lost to time forever. The Beatles have a similar situation with their Carnival Of Light song. It's supposedly a very Avant-garde track but nonetheless it's a Beatles song that exists unheard to the majority of the public. For me as a DIE HARD Doors fan. Hearing the stories that this track might finally see the light of day. I was over the moon. This time period is my favorite era of the band even though it was near the end (pun very intended). I just still can't believe it's here. I've read the tracklist for the album and I've heard bootleg performances of all the other stuff on it. THIS IS COMPLETELY NEW TO ME. I would have cried if this happened in on July 12th (My birthday) but I am just so glad that it survived. It's finally released!! I know there are no more hidden unreleased Doors tracks but...I can dream
This is just incredible!! Thanks to all who made this possible .... Thanks
sure sounds like it came from the L.A. Woman sessions. Same vibe and style. What a fabulous song!!! Jim, Ray, John, and Robbie, Thank you for the great music.
New songs from the Doors in our time? That's definetely raised my mood. And how good it sounds! Awesome work.
Simply the Greatest band ever!
Set the bar,for every band before and after....
These blues sound more like Paris, Texas than Paris, France. One of the most amazing groups of my lifetime.
Thankyou for getting this great song on tape, the doors still going strong in 2022
WOW!!! Fantastic,I remember the first time I heard break on through ,I think it was early 67, now it is 55 years later and my original thoughts of the Doors were correct...best band ever.

Thank you for this.
Ladies and gentlemen, The Doors!!
The doors are absolutely phenomenal! This band has a continuous flow of energy and beautiful music.
This entire band is grossly underrated as a musical unit.
I've always considered The doors as a legitimate blues band, and this awesome track confirms that.
Jim Morrison had so much soul as a singer.
I'm looking forward to adding this masterpiece into my collection.
I bet this is from the L.A. Woman session. It sounds like Marc Benno on rhythm guitar and the bass sounds very similar to Jerry Scheff playing on the L.A. Woman album. This is fantastic.
Good god almighty. What joy for a 71 year old boomer to once again hear a new BLUES release by The Doors. Peace out.
They 'r the Godfather of the rock music.. "The Doors".. is my Idol ❤🙌

Beautiful, and amazing to have this surface now (in 2022). This group had a special timeless thing about their music. Something in the rhythm made them stand out from anything else. Legends of my generation imo. God Bless!

It's hard to believe that this is off a 2nd generation 1/4 inch cassette tape that had been partially erased. My hat is off to the engineers who mastered this recording.

Anybody else get that feel from "Been Down So Long"? Deep, down, dirty, drinking cheap whiskey blues right here !
Yep, it's what makes this even more amazing!
Seems like it was made in the same sessions as Been down and Roadhouse blues
Started out with a little of "Build Me A Woman".
