He was one in a lifetime and will always be loved by many billions of people. My condolences to the White Family are quite sincere. Can't wait to meet him in the paradise that is now his home.

Being an Earth, Wind, and Fire fan myself, I can honestly say that Maurice was a deeply smart, intelligent man. It showed through his work within the band. Although the band has carried on without him, they are definitely not the same without Maurice. RIP Maurice...

Crossed the burning sands into the brotherhood of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity November Fall of 1976 EWF album jammed in the background as we were ‘made’ and brought into the brotherhood. Part of my life, my memories forever!!
There is no question about the legacy of Mr. Maurice White of EWF. My question is why Grammy's board failed to honor him while he was still alive and can enjoy a much deserved prestige? Should they consider it now that he's gone, we the living may appreciate it, but what about the man himself? Sometimes I wonder if the Grammy panel knows what Real Music is and if they have genuine emotions?
