- Walkthru of a rear shock absorber replacement in my 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander. This video would apply to the Gen 2 Outlander Model Years 2007- 2013
This may apply to the Peugeot 4007 and Citroën C-Crosser as they are the same chassis
I'm not a licensed mechanic (it should be obvious) so this video is a reflection of my experience only.
torque values can be seen here: photos.app.goo.gl/mhX5vpzfdku... - Навчання та стиль
That's awesome.... I like how you've edited out most of the information that no doubt brought most of us to the video, i.e. How you got your hand into the area where the top nut is located, etc.!! Genius!
I used a box wrench and a ratchet.... nothing earth shattering
Thanks for the video! I replaced the struts on a 2012 last weekend, for a single mom in the National Guard. Upon driving it back to her house, I felt and heard the rear shocks had gone bad as well. Gonna tackle this install for her tonight -- saving her $1,500 in labor is my good dead for the month. :-) This video will save me loads of time, so thanks again!
Edit: they made changes in the 2012 -- you need a spring compressor as it is wrapped around the shock. Such a nightmare.
thats why u get the preassembled ones faster and way safer
Thank you very much indeed for this video. I'm just about to tackle this. Some say removing the side panels make access easier. But looking at it, I think that would be harder than the shock! 😂
Thank you again 👍
Thanks for uploading the video!
Thanks mate. Those top bolt access ports are so small!
Thanks brother good stuff 👌
Nicely done video except you left out the torque values and the link in the description doesn't work.
wait, im confused.. so did you just clean off the old part & reassemble it or did you replace it with a new part??
i have the same car. can you give me the suspension model? thanks
Great video sir !!! Thanks a million.
Thanks, what was the tourque setting please.
here's the photos of the torque values photos.app.goo.gl/mhX5vpzfdkunemtbA

Where can I get rear shocks stucks 2014
Most car part stores. I liked the kyb and bought those at the local NAPA
If you went through all that trouble, is there a reason why you didn't also change the springs at the same time ???
Why change parts that do not need replacement?
@@germanpickle .... Understood. ... You're right. .... Someone just told me that the springs actually outlast the life of the shocks by a high margin.
Realy safety 🤣🤣🤣
That is awesome but no
