Every black family is required to have this dvd or video tape in their library, this movie keeps me grounded to reality, and reminds me of my mom passing, it still brings tears to my eyes, we used to watch it together. RIP Mom! Along with "Imitation Of Life". Are hard movies to watch!

Yes, I can resonant with what you said regarding both movies. I loved Coole High, I am from Chicago, but Imitation of Life has to be my all time favorite dramas to Watch and when ever I share it with good close friends it gets them every time. Especially that funeral scene with Ms. Mahalia Jackson singing. That nails it for that movie 🎥🍿😊😅🎉🎉❤😢

I always get chills when Pooter and Preach make eye contact. Everybody was probably wondering where Cochise best friend is at. Preach shows up after everyone leaves and Pooter is the only one who sees Preach going to pay his respects, that was dope.

I had always prided myself being this tall easy going brother who was not gonna have anything make me cry. Hunni Remember at the time of the assault Cochise and Preach weren't talking to each other. Its only when Brenda told Preach that Cochise went off to look out for Preach because he heard Stone and Robert was looking for him, but if Preach had got there on time, it might've been TWO lives lost.It wasn't Preach's time to go.

I have no sisters only one brother and I lost him a few years ago. Now I'm the only one left and we did everything together. This song hits me really hard. As of right now I can hardly see to write this. Rest in Heaven Bub. Until I see you again. I Love You and Miss You So Much.

Aint nun better then watching a movie for the first time the thrill watching it the first time not knowing whats going to happen makes you really wish you can watch it for the first time over and over again. I was shocked by the ending but great ass movie. Their friendship and funny moments are unmatched. I didnt cry but I got very sad by the ending because i didnt expect it 😔
