This is an award winning documentary. Really heart-breaking that of all the 8 good years of the current Governor Obiano, Anambra State still has a ghetto of despicable degree of neglect. It’s a shame and heart-breaking. Great job done by Njenje Media to preview the state of long term deprivation of forgotten people of Okpoko to the incoming govt. It’s only a hope that it’ll listen and show some humanity

Every government has to start from somewhere. There are places like Okpoko where Umano did first road and brought light and bridge to them in Anambra state. So it is good that Soludo start from here.

Okpoko needs a revamp, it's of no use to do environmental sanitation, refused disposal and drainage system with those ugly-looking structures. The incoming government should bring the whole houses down and replace them with proper housing units. After that, construct the roads, drainage, good schools and clinics for the community.

    Imminent issues are :
    1].Environmental sanitation
    2].Proper refuse disposal
    3] Proper sewage drainage!!!!
All three done at once,in no order, ASAP.
MAKE PROPER ARRANGEMENTS FOR FUTURE REFUSE DISPOSALS.
    Designate places for that.

To clean and keep this place clean, let the government DESIGNATE REUSE DISPOSAL SITES FOR THE PEOPLE, in strategic places, after removing all these litters.
Use the people as stake holders to ensure the refuse sites are running, both in the market and private houses.
      Name names, get them envolved.
Sink big pipes for drainage of flood and sewage. Please let get rid of mosquitoes and GUTTERS!!!!

But it is going to be difficult for him to do because those are peoples house or are they shops? The only thing he can do is to do roads, clean the environment to be habitable because he will need to use Anambra allocation to rebuild those houses except he starts now and another government continue where he will stop. This is the reason I always tell Peter Obi supporters that they should tell his achievements when he was a governor. All Nigerian politicians are the same everywhere very selfish and they are all looters infact this place just exposed Peter Obi. May God help Soludo in this journey he seems like someone that love his people but I pray the politicians allow him to do this beautiful job but believe me it's not going to be easy.

This reminds me the famous amokoko in lagos. I never imagine such slum exist in the state considering it has plentiful of rich sons and daughters. I am sure $20 - $30 million can transform that place.into a liveable area. All the governor need to do is compensate the owners of the shacks called houses and demolish them then put up decent affordable houses for the people to rent
It is important to change the mentality of the people, they cant live and carry out business in a filthy environment in this 21st century. Even somalia is not bad as this one.
Soludo need to make this slum one of his projects .

It will be better to settle the landlords with a reasonable amount of money and demolish all these houses and rebuild the Okpoko community. Though it will send many families back to village. Infact, I don't know how Soludo will do this revolution of Okpoko without hurting numerous people.

No inch of Okpoko should remain like this, considering how the mumu obidients have been bigging up Peter Obi!
He should have made Okpoko to look at least like the Ikoyi in Lagos that he ran to after his tenure!
