This is an award winning documentary. Really heart-breaking that of all the 8 good years of the current Governor Obiano, Anambra State still has a ghetto of despicable degree of neglect. It’s a shame and heart-breaking. Great job done by Njenje Media to preview the state of long term deprivation of forgotten people of Okpoko to the incoming govt. It’s only a hope that it’ll listen and show some humanity
Every government has to start from somewhere. There are places like Okpoko where Umano did first road and brought light and bridge to them in Anambra state. So it is good that Soludo start from here.
Thanks so much my brother I was born and brought up in okpoko If I thank you what I saw when I was there u won't believe it But I thank God for today That I'm no longer in Nigeria Okpoko is where you will see one of the best talent in Anambra God will help us
Maazi thanks a lot for this insight . I didn't know It was this bad so let hold our governor elect to his words and press on. The time has come to raise the standard of governance
Lol..my dear this place is Banana island compare to Makoko...the place even looks ok..I thought I was going to see big slum..wat they need there is just sanitation..they road is not even that bad..
Great job! I never knew a place like this existed in Anambra State!! It's so heart breaking.. Over to you Mr governor and may God help you in transforming Okpoko!! Well done Mazi for the good work you're doing and God bless you..
I love this one particularly. Mazzi you're doing a very great selfless sacrifice. RESPECT 😎 Sir. I saw the way you're smooching Ezza language 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😁, you're awesome .
Wonderful reporting. Great example of Citizen Participation in government. Professor Soludo comes with a very high pedigree. I hope he will not succumb to the Nigerian system. God willing, I'll be right here waiting to view Okpoko through your lens one year from now. Until then, all I can do is to wait.
Change should start from the people resident there, they need orientation, when I say orientation I mean on public health, environmental sanitation and a lot off
@@NjenjeMediaSome roads? Why didn't he finish work completely before going to be acting as Nigeria's messiah?? A man that can't clean a neighbourhood in his city of birth, has no business asking for Nigeria's mandate to become president! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!
I hope he will also introduce sewage system into his modern governance and it should start from somewhere. If Black people can learn to live like human being starting from Biafraland.
Okpoko needs a revamp, it's of no use to do environmental sanitation, refused disposal and drainage system with those ugly-looking structures. The incoming government should bring the whole houses down and replace them with proper housing units. After that, construct the roads, drainage, good schools and clinics for the community.
Imminent issues are : 1].Environmental sanitation 2].Proper refuse disposal 3] Proper sewage drainage!!!! All three done at once,in no order, ASAP. MAKE PROPER ARRANGEMENTS FOR FUTURE REFUSE DISPOSALS. Designate places for that.
To clean and keep this place clean, let the government DESIGNATE REUSE DISPOSAL SITES FOR THE PEOPLE, in strategic places, after removing all these litters. Use the people as stake holders to ensure the refuse sites are running, both in the market and private houses. Name names, get them envolved. Sink big pipes for drainage of flood and sewage. Please let get rid of mosquitoes and GUTTERS!!!!
But it is going to be difficult for him to do because those are peoples house or are they shops? The only thing he can do is to do roads, clean the environment to be habitable because he will need to use Anambra allocation to rebuild those houses except he starts now and another government continue where he will stop. This is the reason I always tell Peter Obi supporters that they should tell his achievements when he was a governor. All Nigerian politicians are the same everywhere very selfish and they are all looters infact this place just exposed Peter Obi. May God help Soludo in this journey he seems like someone that love his people but I pray the politicians allow him to do this beautiful job but believe me it's not going to be easy.
This reminds me the famous amokoko in lagos. I never imagine such slum exist in the state considering it has plentiful of rich sons and daughters. I am sure $20 - $30 million can transform that place.into a liveable area. All the governor need to do is compensate the owners of the shacks called houses and demolish them then put up decent affordable houses for the people to rent It is important to change the mentality of the people, they cant live and carry out business in a filthy environment in this 21st century. Even somalia is not bad as this one. Soludo need to make this slum one of his projects .
It will be better to settle the landlords with a reasonable amount of money and demolish all these houses and rebuild the Okpoko community. Though it will send many families back to village. Infact, I don't know how Soludo will do this revolution of Okpoko without hurting numerous people.
I was born in Onitsha ( fegge to be precise) Okpoko has always been Okpoko .It actually should be part Awada Obosi. It's Onitsha Owerri Rd that Separated Okpoko from Awada Obosi.
This video was filmed no doubt, to mock Charles Soludo, but it actually did much more and revealed how bad and mediocre Peter Obi was as Anambra governor!! No inch of Okpoko should remain like this, considering how the mumu obidients have been bigging up Peter Obi! He should have made Okpoko to look at least like the Ikoyi in Lagos that he ran to after his tenure! What a fake politician Obi is ! Damn crying shame!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!

@@RealityStand and you expect him to be telling you stranger on social media the country he lives?
Great documentary
He must be held accountable for his promises and actions.
I have very high expectations and trust Soludo
Thank you Maazi, good job👏🏾👏🏾. Now it’s left to Soludo to honour his promise.
I can't believe this Ajegunle is located in Anambra State. Thanks for this documentary. I'm glad the governor will start from them.
Am so happy mazi is doing this
The task ahead is enormous. We have lost time due to failure of governance. The narrative must change
Maazi thanks a lot for this insight .
I didn't know It was this bad so let hold our governor elect to his words and press on.
The time has come to raise the standard of governance
9 aguata is exactly my house many years ago
It's been 10yrs I haven't visited okpoko
Thank God for Life Success
And every day we only hear about MAKOKO in Lagos and the North. As if there are no poor people elsewhere.
Great job.

The part i like most is when Mazi was speaking Abakaliki
A man of many talents
Chio i can't believe i was born here
i will visit okpoko anyday i am in ontisha
This are the area that I grow up as a child infact all my families 👪 are born there and school there
God is Whit you, now go on, we are waiting, sir
Change should start from the people resident there, they need orientation, when I say orientation I mean on public health, environmental sanitation and a lot off
Well done mazi
Not just visiting opoko is the issue but to construct this place and empower the adults and give the children scholarship to free education
i will be here to witness this
Good job brother 👌
So sad, past administration forgot this people.
Peter was the only government that did some road in Okpoko.

I can't even eat looking at this
You said when those houses where built, it was taller but now it got shorter so what is the cause?
All okpoko area should be built 21 story estate and every family living there should be giving a flat first before others start buying those flats

No drainage system,No proper management of refuse disposal. Onitsha needs good road,NEW market rd ,etc
This is not Ọnitsha, Okpoko is under Ọgbaru LGA of Anambra. But close to Osha & Obosi.

This can't be compared to Ajegunle in Lagos that Okpoko is worse off bro.
What was the need of building airports when our people live in a place like this?
Development is a gradual process, the Koko is let good legacy continue
Please I want to ask, does those dwarf houses belong to any Landlord ?
Yes.
