Thank you! I appreciate the support and look forward to making more videos. Would love to visit Ireland for a race - is there a better time of year to visit or do you have a race that you’d recommend?

Great review, I have the Alphafly V1 but I don't run in them because I am a heel striker and slow runner.... I understand that the Prime X is a non starter.. Is the Alphafly V2 better for heel striker? Maybe wait for Prime X V2?

Great to see you on the channel again, thanks for coming back and for sharing your question with the community. I think any shoe that has a carbon plate in it is going to be best suited for a forefoot striker, it's not to say that heel strikers and midfoot strikers couldn't use these shoes, but more that you are not likely to get the benefit that you're paying a premium for if you aren't able to transition to a forefoot strike. I've ran an the Alpha Fly V1 as well and to me, the V2 is even tougher if you're not a forefoot striker. The Prime X is such a unique ride that to me, is worth using (I'm a midfoot to forefoot striker) even if I have to do a little more work to get up on my forefoot because the gain is so much more valuable than the small amount of extra work that I need to do to get up on my forefoot.

    Hi Coach,
I just had a surgical operation to cure my plica syndrome in my knees and now i want to start running after almost 1 year of sedation and want your opinion on which shoes i should buy that would also have the minimal impact on my knees

Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. I’m definitely not a medical professional and don’t give any medical advice but here are my thoughts about shoe selection. If your doctor has cleared you for activity I’d start with walking to build up your endurance rather than running. For walking I really like the max cushion shoes - perhaps the Hoka Bondi 8 or New Balance Move v4. Remember, what works for someone may not work for someone else, so it may take a bit of trial and error.

For me the deciding factor is do they come in wide, which means they are almost never the cool colorways.

Agreed- you almost have to give up caring about how the shoes look and stick with what works best for your feet
