HAVE BEEN HANGING ONTO A 2 CARAT CZ. It will be a real accomplishment for me to make a ring as you have. It is even, perfect, and does not involve the micro-engineered weaving, which my fingers/damaged.wrist cannot do. Even if several wires are damaged, each time wire wrapping is done, it is better with experience. Bless you and THANKS!

I'm so excited it worked! I wish I could show you. LOL! 😄 I got my Oval CZ's on Sat and used this tutorial as a guide to make dangle earrings with a bezel setting. It took me hours and they're not perfect (I'm my worst critic!) but I'm very pleased with them! 😊 An oval mandrel would've been better but my idea of using both tips of my round nose pliers worked out ok for making the oval bezel. Btw, the Xuron flush cutters you recommended are fantastic! 👍 Also, I gave you a shout-out and shared this tutorial on my Facebook page when I posted my pics. Thanks a million for the inspiration and knowledge! 😊

riogrande.com sells loose diamonds, but you have to have some kind of jewelers license in order to buy them. They also sell feceted gems, both real and lab created, cabochens, and beads.
Hi Denise, I lack experience but I'm curious if it's possible to do this ring with a blue CZ on each side of the clear CZ? Or, would the extra stones not be conducive to this style? Thanks! ☺
It might be a bit complicated to add 2 extra stones but it doesn’t hurt to try, I would do the center as normal then wrap the wires around the mandrel once then do 2 more coils like the center, set the stones then continue making the ring. You will need to start with a lot more wire I think. Good luck, would love to hear how it works out 😊

Now that I've had about 3 months working with wire amd have a better understanding of wire jewelry, I've tossed out the idea of additional stones! LOL! I think I will try to make a set like this with earrings, pendant, and a ring when I get some CZ's. You really do know how to turn wire and glass into elegance. I came across this video by chance (don't really believe in chance), this morning. A previous neighbor dropped off a rectangular shaped emerald with similar base and wanted me to do a wire wrap ring for her. I have been staring at it for a few days wondering what the heck I was going to do with it. I am going to attempt to do rectangle top and then follow your instructions for the rest. Wish me luck. BTW, open to suggestions on how to do the rectangle. Video looks very doable.

I usually use 20-22 gauge gold or silver plated copper wire as they it is reasonably priced and gives good results, I like Beadsmith wire quite a lot but there are many wires out there that will work well. Yes, to wire harden the ring tap straight down (your hammer isn’t angled) against the mandrel and when trying to size up you can angle you hammer slightly and hammer the ring downwards allowing it to stretch to the size you want. This usually only works when you want to size up by 1/2 to 1 size. Hope this helps and thanks so much for you kind words I really appreciate your feedback 😊

+Karen Gill it's difficult to give you a specific price because there are so many factors, materials used, how long it takes, buyers, how many other sellers, how unique your product is based on other sellers, but what I take into consideration when pricing my jewelry is the cost of the materials used, the time it took to make it (you should think of an hourly rate for the time that feels right) and also the buyers you intend to sell to and what their price point is. Based on the fact that it's a fundraiser for cancer you might be able to raise the price a little higher too, but make sure it's not so high that people can't buy it. Hope this helps and good luck 😊

Yes, absolutely, as long as it’s a similar style and shape, Swarovski chatons in any size would work well, or even a cubic zirconia 😊

A non tarnish wire that’s “dead soft” or very malleable will work. I like Beadsmith brand wire. Hope this helps.😊
