I’ve been listening to Andy Gibb since I was in High School 🏫 I enjoy His music all throughout My Engineering studies now. Andy’s Voice represents the Best of the Best ! !
Andy was my favorite of the brother's Gibb. He was very talented in his own right he was a solo artist no one can take anything from him period. Sadly he passed away at 30 yrs young. He was oh so hotttt and smooth he could melt butter. Andy had some issues but who in the hell doesn't if you are honest about it. We all fall short at times. Awesome reaction.
I hope you are not married when you say that. I never got the fascination people have with famous people. Imagining someone to be your dream but could be a total different person. Abuse with drugs and alcohol were his bad choices in life. Shame as he would had so many hits as time went on and higher quality recordings.
This was great! I have rolled my windows down, on a warm summer evening , and cruised down MLK Blvd in Portland Oregon to this song, on more than one occasion. This song is a vibe. And you can't NOT dance, or at least do a little shoulder shimmey, to this classic track. It's just fun. Period. Shifting gears... A suggestion for you. A new artist to your channel! Guy you might have heard of, or maybe not. He's another Bobby Caldwell kind of situation. Lol. Boz Scaggs. Please consider listening to Boz Scaggs? I really think you're going to LOVE his music. Lots of instrumentals! I suggest listening to: Lowdown Lido Shuffle JoJo Heart of Mine Look What You've Done To Me Hope to see his name on one of your reactions someday soon. If not, that's okay too. Thanks for the reactions. Take care. Love to you, Barry, & Andy!♥️🧸🧸
I had to give you a 'like' because you mentioned Barry & Andy the bears (just one of the reasons I watch Lizzie's videos). Also because Boz Scaggs is a musician that I still like to listen to. I like all the songs you mentioned, plus "Harbor Lights". And Bobby Caldwell, too. My favorite by him is "All Or Nothing At All".
Bee Gees sings ;ist is nearly endless............Night Fever, Fanny Be Tender, Love Her Inside & Out, Stayin Alive, Nights on Broadway, Tragedy, Too Much Heaven, SO MANY MORE !!!
Love your reaction videos. I grew up on Bee Gees music, they influenced my singing. (I basically learned to sing by imitating artists from 60's 70's and 80's). They were pure genius, pure gold. Suggestion:.....Cheryl Lynn was a late 70's and 80's disco dance diva. The music industry only played up her dance hits but she was quite an accomplished singer. I would like to suggest that you react to "Daybreak" (beautiful song). You won't be disappointed.
Lizzie - your thoughtful comments and the kindness you express when speaking about the artists and their music are truly lovely. You are a joy to see and hear. I really appreciate you. You shine !❤️
Good to see you back, happy and grooving again, and you picked a great choice from the 70's. Sending love and kisses from Rexburg Idaho, keep up the groove girl..👍
I'm lucky enough to own this album and many others that you young people are listening to. I even have an unopened Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits, yes, still in the cellophane wrapper! I still play my albums every Saturday, all day long, the best part about having them is choosing which one to play next! The rest of the week I use my laptop and play digital music, it isn't the same as an album, but I'm trying to preserve my albums so I limit myself to one day a week. I enjoyed your reaction to Andy Gibb's Shadow Dancing, it very much matches my own! It was my first time sitting in with you, thank you for letting me do that! It's fun sharing this music! Loved your reaction!
Yes, more Andy.. next one pls, "Everlasting Love"..& hope you also check out next "Our Love (Don't Throw It Away)" and "Love Is Thicker Than Water" Nice tender pieces.
What's going on Liz? Hope you're doing well! Another greatest hit from the young Gibb, too bad he left us too soon! Can't imagine what his career would of accomplished!? Ok my Dear you take care and stay safe! "Vibe Squad Out"!
andy had this out the same time yvonne elliman had "if i can't have you" (number 1 on the pop charts summer time 1978; a true classic) which was written by the beegees --- andy also had "love is higher than a mountain" out that summer i believe all huge hits that summer
Love your reactions to the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb. What talented brothers! You may also want to react to another Bee Gee favorite of mine: a song called Tragedy.
glad to see you great reaction you should check out "Fooled around and fell in love"by Elvin Bishop live at the midnight hour 1976 dude can sang and has a blues guitarists backing him up
In the United States, Andy Gibb became the first solo artist to have three consecutive number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. In July 1977, he had his biggest hit, "I Just Want to Be Your Everything", a song written by his brother Barry, just as his first international album, Flowing Rivers, hit the Top 20, selling over a million copies. The album's second single, "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water," broke the commercial explosion caused by its brothers' contributions to the Saturday Night Fever OST in early 1978, replacing "Stayin' Alive" at the top of the chart. American, although later surpassed by "Night Fever" when it reached the peak in the middle of the North American summer. Continuing the moment of success, Andy began working with the production team Gibb-Galuten-Richardson on his second album "Shadow Dancing." The single of the same name from the album, written by the four Gibb brothers, was released in the United States in April 1978, and in mid-June it reached number one, staying for seven weeks and receiving platinum status. Two Top Ten songs, "An Everlasting Love" and "(Our Love) Do n't Throw It All Away", a cover of an earlier version by his brothers, were taken from the album and released as singles, becoming another best-seller. of one million copies.
Andy was my fav. Gibb he was so sexy he was very talented in his own right. Andy is the only one for me the rest take them or leave them lol. awesome reaction. btw Andy was the youngest and he decided to go solo. By late January to early February in 1988, Gibb had seemingly beaten his drug addiction, regained his health, and was ready to begin recording a new album. However, he still battled depression over his breakup with Victoria Principal. According to Robin Gibb, his brother "just went downhill so fast... he was in a terrible state of depression". On 5 March 1988, Gibb celebrated his 30th birthday in London while working on the new album. Two days after celebrating his birthday, he entered John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford complaining of chest pains. At around 8:30 am on 10 March 1988, Gibb's doctor informed him more tests were needed to determine the cause of his chest pains. Shortly afterward, Gibb slumped into unconsciousness and died as a result of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle caused by years of cocaine abuse that fatally weakened his heart. This diagnosis was supported by William Shell, a cardiologist who previously treated Andy. btw i had a bad crush on Andy i had his pictures on my bedroom wall. All us girls did. I am 60ish and i still love Andy.
I remember watching a documentary that said Barry considered Andy to be his twin but years apart. Maurice and Robin were actual twins but Andy and Barry were very similar and you can see it as they were very similar in looks and in singing and according to the documentary they also had matching birthmarks. So when Andy passed so young I do think it affected Barry tremendously just because he was kind of his twin but years later
For sure….Barry was devastated when Andy passed & still has a hard time with his untimely death. They were 12 years apart….but Andy was way shorter. Their mother use to say that Andy just idolized Barry….& wanted to be just like him😢.
@@kthor it's sad that Barry is the only brother left. The BeeGees we're a huge part of my childhood and I still love them and Andy. I'm not sure if people these days realize what an asset to music Barry is with all of the hit songs he wrote that were recorded by others.
YESSsss, he was a "Heart-throb" of all the girls when he was alive. He was seriously dating Victoria Principal before he passed, to the point of marriage talks on together on guest talk shows of the time. They had broken up before he died, and was sure to be a big part of his depression and subsequent death. Love love love your channel girl! Keep the vibe on!
There are quite a few documentaries & interviews on YT . Their interviews are really interesting, one is the Larry King show. Songs -Massachusetts ( one for all tour) live Australia 1989, Robin leads . You Should Be Dancing live ( spirits tour) 1979, Barry leads. Closer Than Close ( live in Las Vegas) 1997 - Maurice leads. Hi Lizz, I just found your videos and subscribed!. I was listening to some good old music and watching videos from my era, the eighties and nineties and there you were. You are a trip girl and I tell ya, I never had a daughter, but if I did, I'd want her to be you. Cool beans! Jake.
Lizzie. Definitely a family affair. Barry, Maurice and Robin really close. Andy was the outsider. No idea why he felt like that? 🤔. Certainly had that catchy musical 🎶 talent that his older brothers had.
Sadly, from what I’ve always heard, Andy always felt like he was in his brothers’ shadow, and that he was nothing without them. Which was not true at all, but yet it always dogged him
I really like that Andy (the bear) is younger and smaller than Barry (the bear). Just like the brothers. I know what I'm getting when I watch your videos, Lizzie. Sometimes I just want to be happy. That's how I feel when I see you letting the music take you to euphoria. Have a wonderful day, Lizzie. You deserve it.
Lizzie, there's a song by Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson called All In Your Name. The video of the the recording session is unique and was done in 2002. However, it wasn't released until June 25, 2011, on the 2nd anniversary of Michael's death. It's very touching and I think you'll like it.
This is the era in music when you had to have talent to be on the radio, whether it be rock, disco, or country, etc. There was no degradation shift in the culture yet and no inflammatory vulgar "gangsta" rap crap to be heard or violent headbanging screaming metal in the mainstream.
Usually when a popular artist gets one of their brothers or sisters (Oh like Ashlee Simpson) into the music industry they, well....suck big time. That was not the case with Andy Gibb. He was so talented. I wish we could have more music from Andy in the '80s and '90s. Taken from us way too soon. R.I.P Andy
Have a box of tissues close when you look into andy .... he waz setup by barryy to be the michael jackson of the early 80s... no spoilers if you havent looked into it yet
This is a lip-synced performance, but still good. There are many clips of the very talented Andy performing live & he does not disappoint. Check him out on Midnight Special, Don Kirschner's Rock Concert, hosting Solid Gold, performing for troops on Bob Hope special, singing duets with Olivia Newton-John, Crystal Gayle, Marie Osmond & many more. Everyone wanted him on their shows. A very tender, endearing, & charismatic man, very missed.
Hey Lizzie, got another suggestion for a reaction video for you darlin!! Back in the 80s, there was this one hit wonder group called Pretty Poison and they scored a top 10 hit with a song called Catch Me I'm Falling!! Please lmk what you think of it, okay sweetie? MUAH!!!!!🙂💋❤️
I'm still waiting for you to do WHEN IM BACK ON MY FEET AGAIN by Michael Bolton. Been waiting. Please I don't have much time left because of my COPD. The song help me battle thru Alcoholism.
With all due respect.........I love the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb............but so many music shows back in the day had these stars on to lip sync their great songs. LOL....always cracked me up that people actually thought it was a live performance. RIP Andy, Maurice, and Robin
If I recall he committed suicide because he got dumped by Victoria Principle. But back in the 70s we believe every urban legend. There was no internet. You should hear the urban legends about Richard Gere or the one that was told about Rod Stewart or Elton John depending on which version you heard.
May i suggest INXS I need you Tonight if you have not done a reaction video... Sad because the lead singer Michael Hutchins past away like Andy Gibb.....
This is awesome ... also im noticing 99% of the black women MELT on the closeup of Andy looking directly into the camera... lololol you let out a soft moan.... him and barry had that effect on women... love the video great job!
Hey Lizzie, I'm not sure if country is your thing, but I've got a couple of suggestions for reaction videos for you. Keith Urban had his biggest hit in 2006 called Better Life and the group Rascal Flatts had a huge #1 hit called Fast Cars And Freedom!! Just give these a listen and let us know what you think!! Take care sweetie!! MUAH!!!!!🙂💋❤️
Yeah could be. His girlfriend broke up with him because of his drug and alcohol abuse. I know girls threw himself at him but he could have been a sensitive person outside of the media light.
Andy Gibb was way better than he though he was... he lacked confidence in real life, but you never saw that on stage. Unfortunately for him, he played too hard in the cocaine use when it was very popular and it took him down. Many people died young in those days as cocaine was very addictive for some... and if you got caught up in it, it decimates your body.
Pretty cool having your older brothers, The BeeGees, as your back up singers.
Yeah, the brothers were all tight, too bad Andy died so young, it was said he had a self esteem problem, my goodness he was fire!
I’ve been listening to Andy Gibb since I was in High School 🏫 I enjoy His music all throughout My Engineering studies now.

Keith Urban had his biggest hit in 2006 called Better Life and the group Rascal Flatts had a huge #1 hit called Fast Cars And Freedom!! Just give these a listen and let us know what you think!! Take care sweetie!! MUAH!!!!!🙂💋❤️
Check out Everlasting Love. It's lit!✌️
Not sure if you’re big on DMs on your Instagram page but sent you two. Would love to see reaction videos to the songs I listed. :)
You are so beautiful
Andy died of a broken heart 💔.
