This is not fashion photography. You need to learn how to differentiate fashion from this. You need a real fashion photographer.

Two dials to move the focus point, one for up and down, one for left and right.
Can you draw with it as well? Does it reset when you shake it?
...... How much is this camera?

Waiting for the X2dII. Upgrades to include a third dial to move focus point diagonally, and a fourth dial to return it to center.

Or use a finger to move the focus point.

It would be great if Hasselblad made a full functioning vertical grip for the camera. It would definitely handle better.

Amazing, absolutely amazing. You know your work. You demonstrate what the Dutch masters and my pro friends tell me, "It is the light." I have never seen someone working in a studio doing what you do and I am really impressed. I can never hope to achieve anything like what you are doing but you have shown me the direction to crawl. Thank you.

Hasselblad can't provide better autofocusing for the X system without cannibalizing sales of the H series. Unfortunately, without focus tracking and a bloody joystick to move the focus point let alone face/eye tracking, there's no way you could use this camera on a real, professional fashion shoot. I've tried to justify purchasing this as best I can but it's just impractical.

The focusing system on the X2D flattens the H6 focusing which is far slower, less accurate and only has one central focus point, so I'm not sure how you reach that conclusion? Also in my own full review video on my own channel I demonstrated how this camera delivers better image quality than my H6 and how I'm going to move my day to day shooting production over to the X2D.

@@VisualEducationStudio Hi Karl. How are you focusing through the viewfinder on the X2D? Focus and recompose? The two-wheel system for moving the focus point seems pretty ridiculous, frankly, likewise with going back and forth from the viewfinder to display to adjust focus especially when shooting handheld. Some reviewers of the camera are saying a firmware update with face/eye tracking is coming while others are saying Hasselblad is making no such promise. Which is accurate? Thank you, Karl. I appreciate your time.

I have been waffling between X2D and Fuji 100S due to auto focus issues (I’m not that good at focus due to blurry contacts), but your work completely inspires me. I love this video and the photos, model, makeup artist, lighting - all of it. Thanks for sharing.

I had the Fuji GFX50S and it was like a brick! Took it around the world and ended up selling it. I so wish I'd picked tha Hasselblad back then but the price diff was huge. Now I'm the proud owner of an X1D=50 and I love it, the design of the camera is incredible and the image quality, wow! Fuji is a great camera (same sensor) but the Hasselblad is so much more enjoyable to use.

Hello Karl, It is so good to see someone working with well with great kit. Love the Broncolor system and I have been enjoying working with my X1D from late 2016 and really looking far work to getting my X2D (Ordered a mouth ago) manage to get my hand on one with Mark at this years TPS. A supper update to the camera and good to see Mark.

The X2D is a heavily compromised, overpriced, technology-laggard. Note the shooting conditions in this promotion video: Controlled shooting environment, controlled lighting, professional models who can hold a pose long enough for the atrocious ‘auto’ focus, professional photographer with assistants, professionally designed set, and a lot of time.

It seems Hasselblad has done it again. Releasing products with poor quality control. I just received my X2D with 55v and the lens is loose and rocks left to right. Many people are having this problem. It’s listed on the forum and on Facebook groups. For a $3600 lens that’s not acceptable! They should be recalling those, instead of trying to push off low quality products. Very poor quality control.
