That's not a large birthday circle stamp. It's just the word birthday stamped 8 times in a circle. I used an octagon diecut and the MISTI stamping tool to make it.
totally awesome, was on the edge about purchasing the MISTI until I saw your video. Well worth the price to be able to use your clears stamps like this. Great tutorial, thanks.
Great video. I never would have thought of using an octagon to stamp a circle. That tip was great, and if that wasn't enough you also provided the templates on you blog. SUPER!
I have never heard of a Misti in the UK, so was really interested in how you used it Maureen. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experiences with it. I must go and see if I can find one over here. I really enjoyed watching your video - your explanations are so clear and easy to follow. Warm regards from the UK x Helen
Such a great idea and a really cool card!!! Thanks! Here's a tip for you To make ATG repositionable, use a glue stick to cover just the adhesive. The moisture in the glue stick will create an open time that ATG does not have and you can easily lift the element and reposition it until the glue stick dries. I also love the baby wipe tip! I also like the look of an octagon behind a circle for other projects.
Great technique. My question...was it a trial and error method to figure out what size circle you had to cut in order to accommodate the size of the happy? If so, how much trouble was it?
Linda Knox Yes, Linda, it was trial and error. But actually, I picked the size of the circle I wanted to use, and then had to figure out which stamp would fit 8 times on that circle. BUT, a fabulous stamper named Cyndie and I came up with templates to help figure out what size circle to use, or how many times to stamp on a particular sized circle. You can see the 3 videos on Cyndie's templates on my channel. Hope this helps!

This is great! And it would work with just about anything you want to do, like spokes on a wheel.... *sigh* I have tried to be strong and not get a MISTI....
Great technique. I cannot afford a MISTI at this time, however I think you should either be hired to promote the MISTI or receive some sort of accolade for your creativity. This video might just be what causes those on the fence to purchase this tool.
Maureen, this is such a cool technique. I'm getting closer & closer to justifying the purchase of a MISTI! LOL Thanks so much for sharing this!

I don't have an electric diecut machine. Are there any templates available for those of use without one?
Please see this post for printable templates that are meant to be used with this technique: mycasestudies.blogspot.com/2015/02/misti-templates.html

Cool technique, but You have to make sure that you'll repeat the pattern 8 times. If you repeat the pattern more or less, you will have to adjust it.
